Dalton Place is a very nice environment. Most of the staff are very nice. However, if you want to eat, you may want to consider elsewhere. The food is nothing to write home about.

The boots-on-the-ground staff in memory care, particularly second shift, are AMAZING. They are why I keep my dad there. The food is pretty awful, and there are members of management (particularly in nursing) who aren’t good, maybe should even be fired. But they really don’t interface with the patients. And, at the end of the day, it’s the hands-on CNAs and Med Techs who rock it out!

I went to visit my Dad on 3/24/22 to take him some dinner to eat because the food is not that great & to see if he is ok. When I walked into the day room most every one was there along with the care giver getting ready for dinner. I walked around the table & saw my dad on the ground, I ran to him to make sure he is ok, I called for help,& asked if we need to call 911 or hospice that has been started for him. They said a nurse was here & she came to check him out & that is all she did. We was able to get him back to the room & get him stable, I later was able to get him to eat a little & drink some Gatorade for he is lacking fluid he needs. He then wanted to get up & move around so we did for a while. We came upon the door were the washer & dryer is he walks right in the door that had a magnetic lock that was not working, & also same thing happen on a supply closet that was suppose to have a magnetic lock. Not a safe place if they can enter places that has supplies, such as bleach & what ever esle that is stored

In two simple words: Above & Beyond. Patricia made the transition as smooth as I could have ever imagined-- meeting me after hours and assisting me far more than I would have ever thought possible. And the staff and compassionate and loving every day coaxing him to do what's in his best interest. Covid restrictions aren't easy-- and they are taking it all in stride and with the residents' best interest at hand. Absolutely no regrets!

My husband and I needed to find a place for his mother and her husband. It needed to be a homey and a caring place. We searched and searched and ended up with Dalton Place. Mind you, we live in Ellijay, (45 min away) but none of the other Assisted Living facility's near us gave off the vibe we were looking for. We knew it was the right place the moment we entered. Comfortable and warm, (not sterile), and it appeared that Mom and Phil would always have something to do every day. We saw art work, we heard singing, daily exercise and much, much more. We moved them in with help of the whole staff. I would need another page to express our gratitude to the staff. They are just terrific! Jennifer, their amazing Entertainment Director, gives love and nurture's all the resident's of Dalton Place. Not sure how she does that, but I am very humbled by her tenacity to give and her capacity to love. Unfortunately, Mom passed quickly, and her husband has passed as well. But Dalton Place, the residents, and the staff have become very dear to us. We still visit them every week to see how everybody is doing. Recently, Joshua, the Director of Memory Care, did a great job in getting back one of the residents who had moved to another location last year. I believe Joshua's help in getting her back to Dalton Place, to her friends and Dalton family, may have extended her life. Thank you Joshua. My husband and I are sincerely grateful for Dalton Place, and would recommend them to anyone now facing the responsibility of finding a home for their loved ones. Look no further. My father is in the memory Care unit and the girls are great with him. I do just wish it smelled better when we visit. The smell of urine is very strong in the main room and hallways, but it seems to be clean everytime I visit and he his happy.
