My sister was at Traditions Health and Rehabilitation where she was treated like a hospice patient. Whenever I expressed my concerns I was treated like I was being a nuisance. Here at Rockdale I haven't had any concerns because people here do their jobs. The majority of the staff at Traditions was always so cold and dismissive. I had no idea her vitals were supposed to be taken daily until she came here to live at Rockdale Healthcare Center because the only time anyone came in the room at Traditions Health and Rehabilitation was to administer medication or when I pushed call button. The only time her vitals were taken was if I discovered she was sick. Most cna's would always take 20minutes or more to walk down to her room and then come in with an attitude. Here at Rockdale Healthcare there is an intercom in her room-she even has a shower in her room. At the other place I would always find my sister in smelly soiled diapers-so much so that I started cleaning and changing her diaper myself. I can see that the cna's here at Rockdale are on a schedule bc I haven't had to call to have my sister cleaned. There were times at other place that I popped in and she hadn't been fed dinner or bathed and I'd be given some bogus excuse. I would hear the few good cna's complaining about being the only one who showed up for work having 20 beds to tend to. I would hear them being told that they were trying to find someone to come in and help them. That place has a revolving door every time I'd get used to a good cna she would be gone. The janitors half cleaned her room and bathroom so I brought cleaning supplies to clean it myself since I spent so much time there. I even had to buy something to get rid of roaches once. I was so afraid for my sister that I spent at least forty hours a week by her side. Here at Rockdale the staff are very professional and friendly-I haven't had to ask for her to be cleaned and changed once. The administrator is approachable he doesn't stay in his office with the door shut. The nurses are doing their job I am completely blown away at the stalk contrast between these two facilities! The food here at Rockdale is identifiable and it isn't served ice cold. I could go on and on I really could! I am so grateful to have my sister being taken care of the way she deserves! Now I can sleep at night because I know that my girl is being properly cared for.

Let me start by saying this, Rockdale Healthcare is much better than most. Even though it still has a lot of cons. My grandmother has been in this facility for 7 months, and in the beginning everyone was so attentive and helpful with any and everything. Well by month2 that all went out the window, phone calls stopped and the attention my grandmother received became very subpar. My grandmothers health took another hit due to them not checking her catheter to make sure it was draining, she ended up with a uti and because she became sepsis. But that not even the icing on the cupcake... the CNA (Crystal) responsible for my grandmother was asked to check on her vitals while we were there, and she did. Just not before saying well she isn't eating so she's going to be weak. My grandmother's blood pressure was low but came back up before we left. The only reason my grandmother was even taken to the ER the following day is because we called to check on her and nothing had changed and blood pressure was back low. If you are in the health care field and can even do the simple things as far as checking on equipment and whatever to ensure it's working properly then why are you here? Then not to mention how nasty and messy my grandmothers side of the room stays... open cookie bags, chips, straw paper, anything they open to use on her or for her is left on the nightstand opened packs of A&D ointment, toothpaste, toothbrush, you name it. I clean it up every visit. I wish I had took pictures before I started.

I love this facility!!! My grandmother was a patient here for rehab a couple months ago, and they got her back on her feet and home quickly! The nurses are super hard working and they all make it so easy to get the paperwork and billing done here. The facility is very nice and clean. They are very caring and actually talk to the patients and build a relationship. The room that my grandmother stayed in was comfy and all she's had to say is good things.

Everyone was very helpful, compassionate, informative, and were willing to go the extra mile to accommodate our unique circumstances. Positive review!

My mom has been undergoing PT at RHC and so far everything has been very good. Starting out with Tammy in Admissions very nice and informative. Nurses Jameika and Brianna are very kind, acknowledgable and helpful. CNA Melissa...OMG she is phenomenal!!! She really takes very good care of her patients. When she's on duty my mind is at eased. Kadian, Cynthia, Connie and Authrine are all very helpful and kind too. The main focus is Physical and Occupational therapy. The staff works very hard to rehabilitate their patients so that they can hopefully return to their normal living. The cafeteria staff feeds them very good food The only complaint I have is during the day it takes too long for staff to respond to the patient service call even after light flashing for a very long time. The patient rooms need a little paint touch-up on the walls. Another suggestion is to maybe have recliner sleep chairs for family to stay overnight if needed.

I give a two only because of housekeeping. They do keep the facility clean. My dad had been here a week for therapies yet no one has even discussed goals or day to day plans/routines with anyone in the family. The 13" TV is ridiculous and they remote doesn't work even asking for it to be checked twice one different days. They have yet to discuss activities for the patients or even a group room for the patients. Knowledge to the family and patients would be helpful and shouldn't be just expected. This is a new road to a lot of families.

I am a returning patient and I want to make it clear that I choose to return, because of Omar and his team. This PT/OT team is awesome, caring and decated to helping each patient to reach their goals. This group works so well together, that I can't imagine it working without each of them. They treat you like family. I would like to thank Dilma for being an awesome caregiver. She is kind, patient and thoughtful. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable while working with you. She also sings and make jokes to keep your mood up at times that we need uplifting. I was a patient at Rockdale Healthcare Center for almost 3 mo. Mr. Patton the administrator was very concerned with making your stay as comfortable as possible. All the staff from Misty in business office Amy with scheduling patients needs and most of all the nursing staff and physical therapy staff that pushed me towards recovery. I recommend Rockdale Healthcare Center because of my experience.

They get 1 star for the staff in the business office. They are courteous and professional. They get 1 star for the physical therapist. Otherwise, there would be no stars. Health care service on the floor sucks and the food is a mess.

My mother has been here for two weeks and I must say the staff as a whole was very attentive and caring. One nurse I want to mention "LaWana", she gave Standout service. She noticed details and any changes in my mother's health and physical appearance and notified us with a plan of action following the center's protocol. Very professional friendly staff and facility, needless I was pleased. LaWana made the difference in how I felt about leaving my mother here. She was very attentive with each patient, I saw her with.

My Grandmother has been here for one year this month. I was nervous and scared because my family was new to nursing homes. I can honestly say that the the staff LOVE And CARE for "Granny" just as much as her family does!!!! My Family and I are here all the time visiting "Granny" and other residents so much that the residents think that I work here. I enjoy putting a smile on residents faces. If we had to do this all over again this would be our choice again...

No way to go to the bathroom. Medical staff promise to return and help and we don't see them again. Second day and have not seen a doctor. Physical therapist promised to get instructions to staff to have wheel chair available to use restroom. Help, I need out of here Rockdale rehab has gone above and beyond to show they are a top flight health care location for my Wife. Thank you for taking great care.

Two months ago my mother lost her struggle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. When my family had to make the decision to get help with 24/7 care for the last months of her life, I knew who to call. Mr . Patton, when asked by me if he would make sure my mother was taken care of, he said he would take care of her as if she were his mother. He kept his word. Wonderful nurses who took care of my mother are now my personal friends- love you ladies. Every time I had an extra question, I would call or stop by and every request was met, including can you please go give her an ice cream until I can get there. Would not have trusted my mothers care any where else. I may have to review twice for ten stars. Thank you Rockdale Health Care for all you did for my beautiful Mom. Highly recommended.

Not the worst but a far cry from what your paying for. My biggest complaint is that they room patients of different levels together. They put a hospice patient in with my Mother in law. We had to witness her passing. It was stressful for everyone and totally unnecessary. They are slow to respond to patient calls. They work their staff back to back 16 hour shifts. The rehab staff lied on our discharge papers as to her ability to stand and & walk. They conveniently lost her anti-depressant medication including the refill they ordered to replace it with.
