My sister loves living here she has adjusted very well. She is making friends doing activities and actually, she is teaching a couple of classes for knitting and things along those lines. She loves the food she is now eating 3x a day which is much better than what she was. We would recommend this community to anyone.

Waldrop Residences was an older-style plantation-type home that they made additions to. The place was clean, but they were making upgrades when I visited. The people that I met were excellent. The grounds were well-maintained and they were going to build a fence around it. There was no walking path yet that the residents could use. The place was easy to get to from the main road, but it's also near a railroad that I know is highly travelled. Their pricing was lower than other facilities, but they also had less individual rooms for the residents. They said they have a great chef that's there 24 hours a day.

One thing I can say about the Waldrop Residenices is that I had a hard time with my dad at first, but the owner and staff did everything they could to satisfy my loved one and I really do appreciate that.

Overall, the facility was very nice. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and orderly and the food is hot and fresh. The staff are always on top of any issues as soon as they arise, and the residents always seemed happy. My great grandmother felt at home, as the living room and common areas were decorated with a homey feel and furniture. Nothing in the facility looks like a medical arena, and the bedrooms are allowed to be decorated with personal things and beddings. Waldrop also does not smell like other facilities I've been in. I would recommend it to any of my family or friends searching for a place to live with assistance.
