My husband was recently in this wonderful facility in the Memory Care Unit. He had been battling Parkinson’s Disease since 2019 and I had been his only Caregiver. After another fall in January, he could no longer walk and the disease was rapidly accelerating. I could not have chosen a better home away from home for him to live! ALL of the staff (Director, Nurses, Caregivers, Activity Director Food Service, Housekeeping) were extremely caring and compassionate - even giving ME hugs when he was having a bad day. Sadly he passed away after living there only two months but what a blessing those two months were. — A huge THANK YOU to all who cared for him.

Our father is a resident at Viva Senior Living. Dad is happy and that makes us super happy. He enjoys the food including their broccoli, also the music and activities in memory care. All the staff greets you, even if they work in assisted living. The facility and his room is kept clean. Shout out especially to staff members Mercedes, Susan, Nita and Gwen!

I love this place! My dad has been a resident for almost a whole year in the memory care wing. He enjoys his home. It's a tough industry where turnover is high, but the ladies and gentleman that work here always go above and beyond! I know he is safe and well taken care of. There are always events happening for the residents. And not just little events, but all out decorations and food and lots of fun for everyone, residents and their families. Special shout out to Kim who made the entire process of bringing my dad in easy. She also does a wonderful job with the events and holidays. I highly recommend Viva.

The entire experience from application to move in was a pleasant one. Mercedes went out of her way to help us with all of the paperwork and getting the requirements accomplished. All of the staff have been very welcoming and friendly. Each of the staff members (no matter their job) dropped by to meet my father once he had moved in. The maintenance staffer came in on his day off to make sure both of the little problems were resolved immediately. Susan was most welcoming and assured us that any issue we encountered would be resolved immediately and successfully. We could not be more pleased. My father's outlook on life has improved in the short time he has been there. I'm sure in large part because of the excellent staff at Viva Senior Living at Albany.

My mom has been at the Phoenix since July 2022, first as a rehab resident and then a full time resident. Mom has been pleased, it gives her relief knowing she doesn't have to worry about everyday living. It gives the rest of us peace of mind that she is in capable hands. Sheila Bennett-daughter

The Phoenix has remarkable service. The care that is provided to the residents is beyond impressive. They take pride in providing an at home feeling for not only the residents, but for the entire family. Laura and Rina were so helpful and comforting throughout the entire admission process. I know my family member is in good hands! Thank you for making our transition so easy. My family and I appreciate you two specifically and the entire staff for all that you do for our loved one.

My mom has been at Phoenix for 3 years and we both love it. I visit my mom about 5 days a week so I spend a lot of time there. The staff absolutely make the place. Whether it’s the director, maintenance, a nurse, housekeeping, or the kitchen staff, they are all kind, caring, and helpful. It’s so much more than an assisted living facility. It’s a family. The staff and patients genuinely care about each other and look after one another. We wish we had moved to Phoenix years earlier.

My mom has been at The Phoenix for more than a year and we've been very pleased. The administration and staff offer compassionate care . The word games and puzzles keep minds sharp and the many activities keep them busy. The staff is responsive to the resident's needs and are very encouraging. The food is delicious. We are looking forward to all of the holiday events that are planned. Thanks Phoenix!

I live here now and since Phoenix took over, it has been going down hill. The food is terrible. Lot of it comes from the cannot and the so-called meats are frozen patties and taste terrible. I didn't want to write this but something needs to be done. I am ready to leave and so are some more. The employees who clean the rooms don't do a good job either and that makes it worse. To make it worse they raise the rent every year. I cannot afford them as the quality of food has gone down and the management really sux. too much turnover and management does not give a hoot who you are as long as they see the green every month.

My mom has been here for 2 years. The name has changed from Morningside to Phoebe and now Phoenix but so many of the same, loving people are there. I live 2 hours away but I totally trust that if anything happens, they will contact me immediately. My mama can be a little difficult at times but they are always so loving and patient with her. Thank you to all of the wonderful employees!
