I have loved this community, residents and care staff for as long as I have been working with the elderly population as a therapist. I was the Director of Rehabilitation 9 years ago at this community and am now back as the Therapy Program Manager with Select Rehabilitation at the Colonnade at Carrollwood...I truly feel like it has been a coming home experience. The atmosphere is so loving, happy, and welcoming. The staff have longevity and give compassionate care to the residents. It is such a joy to come to work here every day with such a wonderful care team of resident care aides, nursing, management staff, and now a therapy department. The residents have become like family with everyone looking out for one another. It has been such an uplifting experience to be able to provide the residents the therapy onsite giving them the services they need!

I love my apartment, it is always clean and everything is in its place. Thanks to the housekeeping staff. The activities keep my mind shape. The staff are always so helpful and kind. Everyone is like family. The staff are wonderful. They keep them updated on all medical and problems that I might have.

Brookdale Carrollwood is a terrific ALF. Both of my parents are residents here. I first met with Mindy Yates and she was very helpful and did everything we needed to make this transition as easy as possible. Mindy, Jamie and the entire staff are professional & accommodating to the residents needs. The nursing staff do a wonderful job caring for residents medical needs and overall care and are very good about keeping you informed of any issues or changes.The entire staff always greets you with a smile and positive attitude.The facility always has planned activities and entertainment for the residents and on many occasions includes the families of the residents.Cant say enough good things about this facility. We are very pleased to have chosen Brookdale Carrollwood!Thank you to the entire staff!

My therapy dog and I volunteer here weekly. The residents are well cared for, active and happy. Staff are kind and seem to genuinely enjoy their work. I would absolutely feel comfortable having a family member here.

I had the pleasure of visiting Brookdale of Carrrollwood. I had a stroke and I am currently handicap in a wheelchair. My family feels I can most benefit by entering into an assisted living facility to receive the assistance and therapy that I am needing in hopes of becoming more independent as I was totally independent before my stroke. I have resisted the idea until I visited Brookdale of Carrollwood. I first spoke with Mindy Yates over the phone. I would never had agreed to visit the facility had it not been for Ms. Yates. Her passion and commitment made me want to see what Brookdale had to offer. You could hear in her voice that she cared about making sure the residents felt that they were at a happy place. She truly believed and was not just saying what she felt I wanted to hear. My visit was amassing. The residents were happy. You could see the staff cared about the residents and were there because they had a purpose. It was evident they are committed and work together as a team. Thank you for a positive experience. The rooms were clean and fresh. Staff introduced theirselves. I could go on but I think you can tell that you have a place where senior living is at the best. I feel this is the place for me. All the staff here is excellent, never have I seen such passion given in helping the ones in need and Brookedale exceeded all of my expectations. The servers were exceptional and blew my mind with how quick they met all of the guests needs, and the nurses were also very kind and respectful. Would do 6 out of 5 stars if I could!

There are so many great things happening at Brookdale Carrollwood! The residents are well cared for and engaged. This is the most artistic community I have ever seen. You can find amazing artwork and crafts in almost every resident apartment. The culture in the community is reflective of a high performing management team that I am privileged to work with. I cant say enough positive things about Brookdale Carrollwood!

My mother entered Brookdale Carrollwood in early December after suffering a mini-stroke. She needed 24, 7 care. The staff at Brookdale attended to her needs with professionalism and genuine care. Knowing she was a new resident, the night staff regularly checked in on her insuring her comfort. I witnessed that fact after arriving at 7:00am on her 2nd day to take her to a 9:00am doctor appointment.Initially, my mother was not communicating, nor eating much. When she didnt show up for meals the staff followed up every time and would even bring a tray of food to her room. As I visited each week, the staff kept me updated on her progress. She opened up more with the other residents and attended meals in the dining room. Her transformation was nothing short of amazing. And at the age of 89, she even had a little more pep in her step without needing a cane or walker!Thank you Brookdale for ALL that you do!George Murray

I could not feel more welcomed and at home here at Brookdale Carrollwood.The moment you walk in the front door you are greeted with the aroma of fresh baked cookies and smiles all around! There is always laughter and chatter, events to go to and just a happy and busy environment. I am in awe of the longevity of this team (.. they are more of a Family!)

My grandfather has been here for a couple months now and is very happy. So far our family is very satisfied with Brookdale Carrollwood. Theyve always got something going on in the lobby to keep residents engaged. The staff has been very attentive and caring. My grandpa says the food is pretty good. Hes put on a few badly needed pounds since moving in.The place always seems clean when we visit, which is weekly. His laundry is done weekly on a consistent basis too. They renovated his room from top to bottom before he moved in and it looks great. He got brand new everything, including a new kitchenette, mini fridge, and bathroom vanity, sink and fixtures. They even regrouted his shower at our request.Long story short, this is the happiest and healthiest Ive seen my grandpa since my grandma died. He stays engaged and interacts with people now. Weve seen a huge improvement in him overall since he moved in.Ive also been over there very late in the evening, and personally witnessed staff quietly poking their head in to make sure residents got to bed safely and didnt need anything. We feel hes safe and watched over there. My family would definitely recommend Brookdale Carrollwood.
