My Mom has been a Memory Care Resident of Colony Club Sunrise for almost 2 years now. Our experience in regards to her care team effort between our family and staff has been amazing. The staff from Front Desk to the Nursing has been dedicated, loving, and caring towards my Mom. Gleneva at the Front always responds with a positive attitude and keeps us abreast of anything going on and forwards information to applicable staff as necessary. The Nursing Team headed by Ann, is awesome. Memory care has to be one of the most difficult areas to work and they have patience and are always responsive to my Mom's needs when I call or have concerns. They are partnered with a pharmacy program for easy prescription refills and dissemination.The Colony Club has been a blessing and a safe environment for Mom who caters to her daily needs in a manner which we are not personally able to provide for her. We highly recommend this ALF for families in need of assisted living needs.

A little over a year ago i had to put my boyfriend in an assisted living. i checked out a bunch of them and colony club was the most friendliest and most cheerful looking place. Here is my opinion. The management is terrific. Donna is caring, responsive, and goes out of her way to please if she can. The girls at the front desk are wonderful especially Gleneva and Nadine . The nurse Anna is sooo reliable and pleasant and get things done, and the nurses or med-techs are great too who work in the evenings. The new head nurse, i think her name is Elsa is on the ball and getting the job done. I think she is a great asset. Ive not had good experiences with the aides. Either there are not enough of them or they dont show up, or they are just not doing their job (and im only speaking about my circumstance, not all) who are lazy, way too laid back, and not friendly at all. They come and check on those in their rooms and open the door look around and leave. Ive had issue a couple times with wet bed all day long and other serious issues that were not addressed for way too many hours. Perhaps now that Elsa is there it will change. The food is very fair. Has no flavor or is over cooked to rubber. I would think that since those who live there will not be getting better and will live their last days there, that they could liven up the food and make it more appealing. Those in the dining rooms who serve, some are very nice and friendly especially a gentleman and dont know his name but some never smile and act like they are bored. My suggestion for colony club would be to have more games and get togethers where perhaps they can encourage those who live there to get together and play cards or games and maybe even have group games to make them laugh. Spice up the food and make it taste good by seasoning it with Mrs Dash and giving the residents something to look forward to

I HAVE BEEN WITH COLONY CLUB FOR TEN YEARS. WE ARE LIKE A FAMILY HERE WE LOOK AFTER EACH OTHER HERE, WE HAVE AWESOME CAREGIVERS AND AMAZING NURSES. WE TREAT RESIDENTS LIKE WE TREAT OUR PARENTS WITH LOVE AND RESPECT. ALL OF THEM ARE MY BABIES.

Colony Club Sunrise is a true Colony of Family,I have been to Colony to visit several residents that I know personally. My experiences have been very positive and reassuring the the Team thats in place starting with the Director and all staff are there for all the right reasons. They are Loving and considerate of the residents and Their familys. They look out for their best interests always. As we know Senior care is not easy and choosing a community for your loved ones is difficult. We want them to be cared for as we would take care of them. Lets keep in mind that no place is perfect as we as people are not as well. We make mistakes but this place strives for perfection in caring for the residents in all aspects of Senior Living. You can see the wonderful interaction that the entire staff has with the community of this building. The management is always looking for ways to improve the quality of care by Educating there staff with continuous education in Senior care. They have qualified professionals working around the clock to deliver such care. They are constantly investing in State of the Art technology to improve the community Safety, security and well being of the residents. I find this Community to be a Healthy fit for my parents. The most important part of choosing a home for your loved one is making sure that you make the best Educated decision possible for them. I would highly Recommend to visit the Colony Community for a tour. When you meet with the Director Donna Yam.I am sure you will understand what I mean by Colony being a Family Quality Care facility.

My mom has lived at The Colony Club for a little over a year now and she loves it! She moved in a few months after the new owners took over and is really pleased with the nursing staff, physical therapists, aides, her room and the activities. I live out of state and have easy access to speaking with the facility administrator, Donna, whenever Mom has a request or concern, and get action and return communication in a timely manner. When Ive visited The Colony Club, I find the staff warm and genuinely caring about my mom and her health, happiness and vitality. My mom appreciates all the activities (music, dancing, nightly movies, church services, etc) and relaxing while chatting with friends on the gorgeous patio. I am so happy we found such a wonderful and supportive home for Mom.

My uncle was able to be placed from an at home ALF to this community ALF. My uncle and our family was blessed by the entire staff at Colony Club. Kindness and smiles are what you encounter from the time you enter the facility; staff is so welcoming and you witness the care provided to the other residents as you walk throughout the facility. My uncle was loved and cared for by all -- thank you.This facility is a very healthy positive (in so many ways) and offers so much to the community residents. They have onsite services, movies, games, guests, etc. Outside seating areas for that Vitamin D. Your loved one is well fed and kept hydrated. An important factor in South Florida.In many ALFsNursing Homes, the sadness is the missing visiting family members. Besides myself and our family, I did witness others visiting which was a wonderful thing!Thank you Colony Club for having such a caring establishment with such caring employees.

This facility is simply the best and most caring! The new administrator Beth is really nice and takes great care of the place and its residents. The facility is really clean and each time I go visit my great grandmother she tells me how good she feels there. They have many activities for the elders like bingo and many more! I can just simply say thank you for giving my great grandmother the best care she could receive!

Wouldnt trust my loved one anywhere else! The new management has really turned this place around. The food is wonderful and the aides really care about my mom. Each one knows just how she wants to be taken care of. We love colony club.

In August of 2012 I needed to find an assisted living facility for my 93 year old grandmother who was just coming out of rehab after being sick with pneumonia. I looked at many facilities, and this one felt very warm and welcoming. The residents seem very happy and well adjusted. Ive been to other places where the residents are all hovering by the door as if they are trying to escape. The Colony Club is very calm. My grandmother has now been there almost one year and it has been heaven sent. She is always joining the activities and is no longer lonely. Her level of care improved after a few months of living there and true to his word, the owner adjusted her rent to a lower amount as he had promised. In addition the owner has been so helpful working with us financially. The staff is very friendly and helpful and all know me by name when I come in to visit. I would highly recommend this facility!
