Allegro Senior Living – Reviews
Despite promises during the tour that there is internet access in every room, it has been almost a year that my mother-in-law has been there, and she does not have reliable internet in her room. Several of the residents have also said that the internet is not reliable in their rooms. Despite numerous complaints, management has never corrected the problem.
My parents aged 90 and 83 moved into assisted-living at Allegro about 7 months ago. At the time it was a major transition for them moving from living independently to an assisted living situation, but clearly needed. Unfortunately my mother passed away recently and things have been very difficult for my father for sure. I just want to compliment the entire assisted-living team for their wonderful and compassionate attention to my father during his time of grieving. To Dawn, Shane, Gwen, Michelle, Emily, Gary and the entire Allegro team I have tremendous appreciation for your efforts and sincerity! Thank you so much for helping my father during this difficult transition. You are amazing!.
Great work environment! Friendly and helpful staff. Nice activities and areas for residents.
Allegro was nice, but I don't think they have that much flexibility with the food service. The main thing that made me steer away from them was when I asked if anyone was sitting by the door 24/7. They said, "Oh, no. Any resident can just walk out the front door at any time." I asked, "With all these people who are starting to get dementia?" She goes, "Oh, that would be a problem if your mom has anything like that." They don't offer memory care if it gets to that point later. Their amenities and activities are comparable to the community that we chose. This place is certainly nice. They have a minimum room. It was a studio with a little kitchenette, a big bathroom, and a closet. It was just an open room. They have lots of physical activities, entertainment type activities, a little exercise area, salon, library, and so on. I didn't think the lady that showed us around was very welcoming. There was no invite to try their food or spend the afternoon or anything like that. The building itself was nice, new, and up-to-date.
It's a great place to work and a fabulous place to live!
Love it here
We chose Allegro for my brother because there was an apartment that opened right away as we were looking. They have their own library, but they also have the bookmobile services from the library of St. Johns County. They have all kinds of different activities, like computer classes. They would also bring the food up to him if he can't go down and he's also checked on every day. The food is excellent. They have a standard menu and choices daily. They also have a little cafe for afterhours, so there's always food available. They also have their own bus service which takes them shopping and to different medical appointments. The staff is very cheerful and very caring, from the person who cleans to the people in the dining room. The building itself is stunning, beautiful, and very clean. You would think it is a brand-new place.
wonderful community definitely 5 star * something my parents are used to in their life*
Allegro is beautiful, bright, cheerful, and comfortable. The person who assisted me was a lovely lady, knowledgeable and helped us a lot. There are plenty of activities going on, and I highly recommend it. The food and services are wonderful.
I went to allegro to fill out an application. I was very excited to see such a beautiful facility. Everyone was very friendly. The receptionist was very kind and helpful.
I found Allegro for my mother. We chose this community because it was the nicest one. The staff was all fabulous. They were very good, very nice and very kind to her. Everything is five-star. Their rooms are beautiful. Their dining room is very nice. They have everything like field trips. What I like best about this community is the staff and the cleanliness and that it is new and pretty.
During my visit at Allegro, I thought the place was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and pleasant as well. I did know that they put down their activities in the month calendar. Residents could pick the activities they wanted to attend. I was thinking that it would be a place I would consider if I decide to move in to an assisted living.
Very Clean Facility that's Friendly and Professionally Managed!
It was absolutely spotless. We had lunch there. A young woman in a server's dress served us and the food was delicious. There was always an alternate to the menu that you could select if you didn't want what was in the menu. We saw four rooms. They had an outside balcony that wrapped around the whole building and they had access to every room on that balcony. The windows were huge. It was so light and sunny and the woman that we dealt with knew every person that we came in contact with whether they were staff or people who lived there. It was ten minutes from a hospital, across the street from a pharmacy, two minutes from a doctor's office, but there were no buildings on either side of it or behind it. So, it had a very private feel to it and the road that runs in front of it was just a two-lane road and there wasn't any heavy traffic. They had activities like bingo. They had a piano and there was someone who came to play while they ate. Sometimes, they have a small band playing for them.
I liked Allegro very much. The staff was very nice. The place was very clean and attractive. I would recommend their services.
