Definitely not the facility it used to be. Still has great potential maybe just going through a tough time. So much staff turnover. Never the same person, not enough staff so the people on are overworked. Poor guidance and unfriendly management. Level of residence has really been lowered as well. Difficult for my family member to find anyone to hold a conversation in dining room. Feeling more like nursing home. Appearance of building even seems affected, front pond is green more often than not and the rooms seems like it is rarely cleaned. Just too much money for that quality. With such a beautiful place I hope they are able to pull things back to together, but for now it is not the place for our family.

What a kind, caring, and supportive environment HC of Palm Harbor has provided for our parents over the last six years! The exec director, nursing and care staff, maintenance personnel, and kitchen staff have all gone above and beyond so often in attending to the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of our parents. It's a true pleasure to walk in the building and observe the upbeat interactions between staff and residents. The staff clearly "know" the residents, and treat them with dignity, respect, and good cheer. My siblings and I will be forever grateful for the quality of life that HC has given our parents.

Our family is so thankful for all the care the entire staff at Harbor Chase at Palm Harbor provides! As we visit frequently, we are greeted and treated like family by all and they do all they can to assist and often go above and beyond! There are so many individuals I would love to include, but I will just say Thank you to all the staff!!

Our Dad just recently moved to The Cove at HarborChase. He was in a different memory care and the difference is amazing. The staff is very kind and attentive. The environment is bright, colorful and open. Food is excellent and good variety. The outside grounds are beautiful and wonderful alternative for the residents. Excellent choice!!

There are many choices when having to make the difficult decision to move into Assissted Living. Through the years I have experienced many in the Pinellas County area as a professional. Harbor Chase remains a facility I highly recommend. The building is well kept and the enviornment is inviting. The residents have plenty of activities and outings. Resident care is difficult with an aging population but the team at Harbor Chase work diligently to provide good care.

When your loved one needs assisted living this is the place to be. The caregiving is excellent. The entertainment and trips are wellplanned. The employees are happy with their job and it shows.

My dad has been here for a year. I can't say enough about the staff. They are very caring people. I can sleep at night knowing he will be taken care of and I will be notified if anything happens. The maintenance staff keeps everything in Tip-Top shape, the cleaning people keep everything smelling fresh and clean, and the caregivers and nurses keep the residence as happy and healthy as possible. I love the fact that some of the apartments have screened in patios. That's something you don't find very often in an assisted living facility. Highly recommend. We feel very pleased and blessed to be there.

Don is very very happy living here. The care he receives is professional and caring. Don's dog, Georgi, loves to come and visit. The Executive Director is "hands on" and knows all residents by name and participates in activities. Wonderful place.

The Assisted side is beautiful, one of the best I have ever seen, The food is delicious and by far up to 5 star standards, the head nurse Michelle is great, very comforting and easy to talk to. HOWEVER The director of the memory care side, Jeremy i believe he said his name was, is a damn joke. He could barely answer and of my questions and seemed afraid when interacting with the residents! Also the Director of the facility lied straight to my face! I asked her if they accepted residents with combative habits and she told me no, and if resident relationships were monitored just in case of abuse and again she said that does not happen in that facility, however i happen to see one resident walking around stealing personal possessions out of others rooms and then that particular resident was straddling another male resident essentially forcing her tongue down his throat! When the Aide attempted to approach the resident she threw her bag at her hitting another resident and reached out to hit the aide in her face, then the Aide attempted to move the male resident in another direction and the lady went after her again! except this time almost knocking the male resident to the ground!!!!!!!! These poor Aides tried numerous time to calm this resident down and move her focus else where but that was not happening!!!!!! The Aides for the most part are great, and the reason why i put my mother there -temporarily. However their are 2 on the afternoon shift who, shouldnt have a job working with anyone elderly! The one Marcilene is so incredibly lazy, and rude!!!! i asked if she could help my mother in the bathroom and she told me no shes not my resident wait for Falita- falita whom is the best Aide they have, and was able to answer my questions when the incompetent director couldnt, was more than happy to take my mother to the bathroom when she returned, even as her eyes looked tired she smiled and treated me and my mother with the up-most kindness and care, after talking to a fellow resident family member i found out that this stuff happens all the time, but falita has taken great care of her dad- (even went as far as to leave notes around his room reminding him to ask for help when going to the bathroom and-or when hes not her resident) i am more than positive the directors have never done such a thing or could have thought of it. I cant remember the other girls name but she locked her self in the staff room the majority of the time, never to be seen!!!!! And those two girls went on there break at 530 and left the other two to watch over the residents and clean up after dinner!!!!! All i kept hearing from them was not my resident or i dont want too.. Which left Falita and the other lady Edna, I believe to pick up their slack and i saw this on more than one night!!!!! how do these two other girls have jobs!!!!!!!! Deb as well is such a pleasurable experience and she is someone who i truly believe takes great care of mom as well, she has a great knowledge and understanding of my mothers disease process and how to make things easier on us! I will, however be moving my mother out of this facility as she progress in her disease process. ANd i hope the good staff find places to work who will better appreciate them!
