My father and I toured American House and it absolutely could not have been better! Executive Director Carla was super helpful prior to us scheduling a tour, and Mariea who is the activities director and gave us the tour was extremely warm, kind, knowledgeable and funny. All staff and residents we encountered were welcoming and positive and the facility is lovely.

American House Orange City (FL) is an exceptionally well-operated, professionally-staffed senior living community. Its staff are unusually friendly, caring and compassionate, and take a real interest in the health and safety of all residents. I toured and/or assessed more than twelve other senior living communities in Central Florida, and none can compare to American House Orange City. This senior living community offers the best housing options at the best price with the best service. My 95-year-old mother agrees! She loves the health-conscious food entrees (low salt and sugar); movie night; how clean the premises are kept; and the professionalism of the front office and nursing staff. It's hard to recommend this senior living community highly enough. Five stars!

If you are looking at reviews here then you are contemplating placing you parent in an assisted living home, which is one of the most difficult choices to make. Our father has been living here for about 3 years. The staff is so good to our father, they all know him by name. The front desk is always helpful. The nurses are involved and informative. Jeff the director always is available. Since it is a smaller community our father feels more at home. Thank you to all the staff for helping ease our minds by knowing our father lives in a caring place.

Our family could not recommend American House Orange City more! They treated our mom and us daughters as family. They have a steady, loyal, loving, reliable staff and you will not find a better price point in the entire central Florida area. Everything is so clean and welcoming. You won’t find better staff from admin, front desk, maintenance, nurses, techs; it’s simply family. They love you and they support you from the first visit through past saying goodbye.

We searched high and low to find the best place for our mom. That place was American House Orange City. From the first visit they made us feel we had found a home that mom could thrive and have fun. As we visited her multiple times a week we became a part of the family with our mom and the staff. From the administrative staff, medical staff, dietary, janitorial, maintenance and activities-everyone working there is plugged in, communicative, caring & understanding and ready to help. They go above and beyond to treat each resident as an individual and make a plan in a situation that best suits that family within the guidelines of their work. They held our hand through the painful process of how to make difficult choices for our mom and even through the painful goodbye. As a matter fact months and months later they are still checking in on us. There’s not enough good things we could say to illustrate how positive our experience with AHOC was for our family. Our mom, Patty, loved her AHOC family!

I enjoy living here very much and couldnt ask for anything more! If you cant be at home, this is the best place to be. It has everything that I need. It is very clean, quiet and the people are wonderful.

The care staff is the same everyday which is very important to me. Atria keeps the whole facility clean and the outside looking nice. I love to tend to our vegetable garden and flowers on our back porch. The maintenance department fixes anything right away when asked. I like that our laundry service is excellent - they fold everything nicely and hang up clothes in my closet. I am very happy living at Atria.

Staff is very welcoming to me and my furry friend. Food is fabulous and the kitchen staff are always very friendly. Housekeeping is very responsive and go above and beyond. The building and the grounds are always on point. I am happy living here.

I have lived here for 2 years. I am very satisfied with the staff at Atria. They provide great care. The best thing about Atria is going outside and seeing the beautiful landscaping and enjoying the fresh air with other residents. I like the exercise classes with other people each morning. The food is very good also!

My father has been living at Atria Orange City for almost 3 months now and we couldnt be happier with the staff and service we received thus far. Initially my father was apprehensive about moving into an assisted living facility but now he absolutely loves living at Atria. Weve had questions and concerns along the way but have always been able to get answers and resolutions. If youre looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one, consider Atria Orange City.

I moved my mother into Atria Orange City from another independent living facility in March 2019. She now feels more secure and has made many friends. As a dogs friendly facility she was able to keep her dog Buddy. They loved the tree lined front porch area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The dining menu is very good and provides many choices for all tastes. If you need a friendly relaxed style of living, this is the place for you.

Mom has been at Westminster Oaks now for 3 yrs and it's been great. When you walk thru the halls or anywhere on the grounds, the staff are all friendly and helpful. Looks like its a good place to work.

My mom has been a resident at Atria Orange City for over 1-1/2 years. I am very pleased with the atmosphere and the staff. Everyone is caring and does a wonderful job. When I have any concerns or issues, which is very rare, I have always received prompt attention, and the issue has been resolved quickly. Mom really seems to be thriving and happy here. I am very grateful for Atria. It gives me peace of mind to know there are staff available 24/7.

I have been working with Christina and others there for some time and have been treated with respect and care by each person. Knowing that we can make a referral and our patient will also be treated well is very reassuring. The facility and grounds are beautiful as well.

Some staff are great; but, they end up doing all the work for others who are lazy and disinterested! Managers need to supervise their teams on ALL shifts! Activities room seems to be the gathering place to socialize. Unfortunately, not all patients attend either due to illness or inability.

New management and many changes. Not in the best interest of the residents. Just got a $297 per month raise in rent without an explanation. TV has been taken out of Lobby so residents dont hang out and look like they need assistance. They want it to be more independent living than assisted living. Anytime dining has not happened. Dining room is closed between meals. The last 3 times I have been there during the workday, the front desk is unmanned, just a sign in log. Short staffed in housekeeping and activities. They will no longer accept new residents with medical needs like insulin. OK, let me stop here, over $4K per month. is allot of money to rent an apartment. ADDENDUM: 6-7-18 New director JEFF is working hard to make changes. He walked into many unresolved issues and is very easy to talk to. He is putting in a work order for many issues that have been in existence for years. There has been NO increase in rent - it was a one time charge (made before Jeff arrived at Atria) that I was not made aware of and it is being credited back to my mothers account. I am optimistic that under the Direction of JEFF, things will improve dramatically. Looking forward to positive changes. Cathy

This is the best place you could hope to find for your loved one, I felt good every time I visited and saw the superior attention my Uncle was given. This is an assisted living facility not a nursing home. Residents are treated very well and with a great deal of respect. Marshall is an outstanding Manager, housekeeping and food are definitely four stars! I couldn't ask for a better place to assist my loved one with his needs. Most every person I met working here has a gift of compassion. The Marshal said he screens his applicants so that he finds these special individuals. My loved one was here for three years and the staff was consistent, the same individuals assisted him the whole time he was there. He developed a relationship with many of them which enriched his life in a wonderful way. He told me "They understand my temperament." Thank you Royal Gardens!!!
