After reviewing dozens of facilities and visiting 6, we chose Windsor of Ocala because they seemed to be set up to honestly care for people that honestly needed care. Most places quickly concluded that mom could live only in Memory Care, not Assisted Living. Windsor is one of the few that is successfully integrating residents with dementia intermingled with residents with sharp minds that need only physical care. We knew mom had dementia, but never imagined that she would still be struggling to find her room 9 weeks after moving in. Every single staff person treats mom with dignity, patience, and competence - every hour of every day (and night). That doesn't happen by chance. That is the result of competent management to systematically create (and maintain) a 'culture of caring'. I have eaten over 20 meals with mom, and the food is surprisingly good. Every time we have 'pulled the cord', response time has been under a minute. The physical therapy for mom's broken hip has her walking better than before she broke it. Mom's Care Level (and cost) is going to need to go up as her Alzheimer's progresses, but as long as she can stay in her large, homey suite in Windsor Ocala, there's no way that she is going anywhere else. If you want the best for your mom, this place should be on your short list.

Our family has such respect and gratitude to all of the workers at Windsor of Ocala! They took amazing care of my mother in law 11 years ago and now many of the same employees are caring for my mom! Their love and patience with the residents are comparable to none! We love Windsor of Ocala!

This is the very best in Ocala, and better than in most other places. The age in place philosophy is not common in most senior communities. I HIGHLY recommend The Windsor for independent living with as you need it assistance options. You neednt move a loved one (or yourself) from facility to facility as the need for assistance grows.I contacted The Windsor by email from out of state. Brenda was lightning fast getting back to me and interested in the details of my search for a family members relocation to Ocala. Her genuine concern to assist us with our search was incredible. She accommodated my erratic schedule cheerfully, and welcomed us for the tour as though she had known me for years. There was a personalized greeting on a photo stand as I entered. Brenda is an expert in her field and determined to assist in every possible way. She describes The Windsor as a cruise ship on land with all of the attention to residents that phrase implies, with the top priority being health and safety. The grounds, services, accommodations and dining are of the pampered nature one experiences on a luxury cruise. The staff exudes a willingness to help and is cheerful. The low rate of turnover indicates a great place to work. That says it is a great place to be for residents as well. Better than 5 stars all around.

They have displayed a true sincere passion for what they do for families and residents. I couldnt recommend a better residence for your loved one. We live next door to The Windsor of Ocala and they have invited us to their get togethers and even during COVID they invited us to pickup lunches on July4th and Labor Day. They are so special. We love them. They are a shining clean place

My Aunt choose this place to live and I can tell you this after a year of experience. They have very skilled persons who are gifted in accommodating even the most difficult residents (my Aunt for instance) Marty, Christian and the staff truly love the residents. They can handle most any thing that a challenging resident can offer. They have the experience it takes to make a lovely home for those that we love. They go way out of their way to be sure everyone is safe and comfortable. This place is great! You can be confident that your family will receive the best of care.

This was my first encounter with Windsor and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the outstanding staff. The networking event had food prepared by the staff chef and the presentation was wonderderful and also delicious!

Pappy didn't want to go into The Windsor but we didn't know what else to do- he couldn't live alone and 6 weeks at our house proved that wasn't workable either. Less than 24 hours there he told me that he loves his new home & that everyone there is so good to him. Three days after moving in he told me, "The Windsor was wise." It means so much that we don't worry about him! He's getting the help he needs, and the personal space that he desires. So far, it's been great!

Former Employee I truly loved this job, the residents, and my fellow co-workers. However, certain management does not have respect for the employees, nor listens to them or takes concern. Its like fighting to even be considered. On hands with my actual job, I loved it. But feeling like I could turn to higher management was not something I felt like I could do, especially with the warming welcome.. I am usually not one for a negative review.. in which I dont think this is. Its more of for those whom may be looking for a job, and want a place that will work with you as much as you do for them. I was very disappointed to have to leave, but under certain circumstances I had to, and once again I was not heard when those circumstances came about. I was merely shoved to the side.

The local NAIFA chapter had our monthly meeting at The Windsor today, and I have to say they were more than accommodating! Not only were they very friendly and helpful, but I can also say without a doubt that Wendy is passionate about her work. Also, I have to mention that the food is absolutely amazing, kudos to the chef and his team! A very lovely facility, I would feel very secure if my loved ones were at The Windsor, and I would recommend to my clients and their families!

We have been attending networking events at the Windsor of Ocala for several years now. We always find the facility to be immaculate, the food is fantastic, and you can really tell the staff is very attentive to and caring towards the residents.
