Everyone was SO nice and helpful. Great experience!
August 2026
The staff is so great with my dad. Always friendly and helpful. I would give 10 stars. I highly recommend
July 2026
Memory unit staff is the best. They always know where my husband is and how he is doing for that day The residents have activities, entertainment, exercises. They participate as they wish. It is a joy to walk in to the big room and see clapping hands singing and smiling.joy. Elke does a wonderful job coming up with a variety of activities for a challenge yet fun for the number of residents. My husband is treated with respect and kindness. He is happy and content and that is what matters to me.
July 2026
The staff are caring, patient, and attentive. They follow guidelines and rules to ensure safety of both the residents and staff.

I have mixed feelings about Brookdale Paddock Hills. The staff working directly in the memory care unit were generally kind, welcoming, and interactive with residents. My mother liked many of them, and Jill, the head nurse, communicated well with me. The common areas were clean, and the secure outdoor garden was a nice feature for family visits. Unfortunately, our experience with safety, overall well-being for my mother was extremely disappointing and it all stems from the administrator, Jeane'e. Before admission, I expressed concerns about my mother having a roommate because she could not afford a private room. Amanda, the sales director, assured me they would place her with a compatible roommate. During sales process, she was attentive, supportive, and reassuring and assured me they would work with my mother's budget needs. That changed after move-in. Afterward, Amanda told me she could no longer help me with any issues or concerns because it was not her job. On my mother’s first night, her roommate cried, screamed, and begged for help throughout the night. Staff openly stated they did not understand why the resident had not been given a hospital bed and acknowledged she had serious health issues. My mother was terrified and unable to sleep. Staff members told me they did not think this was an appropriate placement for my mom and said management knew the roommate was in hospice care and frequently distressed. This continued for days, leaving my mother emotionally exhausted and distraught. I repeatedly emailed the director, Jeane’e, requesting help, but received no response for days. When she finally responded, the only option offered was a more expensive private room, which my mother could not afford. After repeated emails and calls, my mother was eventually moved. Unfortunately, the second roommate situation was also difficult. The room constantly smelled strongly of urine and soiled diapers, and the bathroom was unsanitary and full of dirty diapers. The roommate screamed at my mother and our family members often. She would throw my mother's belongings and bedding on the floor, and steal personal items. My mother became afraid to leave the room because she worried her bedding would be thrown on the floor. She endured 24 hours of this behavior. The most unacceptable issue involved the bathroom. The shared toilet repeatedly clogged (by her roommate flushing non-flushable items) and sometimes remained unusable for up to 12 hours. On more than one occasion my mother had no bathroom access for extended periods and ultimately had accidents because she could not access a toilet. It was humiliating for her and completely unacceptable. Staff members in memory care acknowledged these issues but repeatedly stated that only Jeane’e could address them. I continued emailing her documenting the concerns and again received no response. The final straw was receiving a call informing me that my mother had accidentally been given another resident’s full daily medication regimen. They told me they would withhold her own medications that day and monitor her. We were lucky that it did not seriously affect her or kill her. What frustrated me most was the difference between the promises made before admission and the lack of responsiveness afterward. Once contracts were signed and fees were paid, our concerns about my mother’s safety, mental health, and living conditions were ignored. Residents in the assisted living section appeared happy, and I do believe some staff members genuinely care. However, our memory care experience was not safe or sustainable, and management was unresponsive to repeated requests for help and safety and were only concerned about payments. They are a for profit company, but they should be held to a higher standard.

My grandmother has been a resident of Brookdale for six years now. She has always been well taken care of and loved. She is nonverbal, but loves to smile and wave at people. There is literally not a person in the facility that walks past her without acknowledging her. She is so happy and blessed to live in such a loving environment.
March 2026
Our loved one stayed at Brookdale until she entered heaven. The staff were the sweetest and always had smiles on their faces. Lots and lots of compassion. Elke the memory care coordinator was always helpful and kind. We have had a couple other family members that were in nursing homes and there was no comparison to Brookdale. It was clean, friendly and always accommodating! Don’t even believe the bad reviews as they are made up untruths. We had a camera in our room so we could always check on our loved one . The camera does not lie. We highly recommend!!
January 2026
Great staff and great service. From the first time I visited to the day we needed to make the decision to get Dad into a safe environment. He and I were welcomed with open arms from the staff and the other clients already living there.
January 2026
Clean, friendly, and kind to all the residents. A nice place for mom. Staff is wonderful and willing to give a hand when needed, with anything.
November 2025
Lovely facility. We have been touring all weekend and this seems like a great fit for mom. Unlike the skilled facility down the street.
November 2025
Everyone was super friendly, helpful, caring, and understanding. Special shout out to Amanda, Jane’s, Collin & David; our lunch was delicious!
October 2025
They have introduced a wonderful monthly meal where residents can invite family and friends. This provides a fantastic opportunity for residents to socialize with their loved ones in the community. It's a comfortable setting with out the difficulty of traveling outside.

Outstanding Care and Compassionate Staff My mother, Lilia, has been receiving care in the dementia wing at Brookdale at Paddock Hills ALV, and I can’t say enough good things about this community. From day one, the staff has treated her with genuine kindness, patience, and respect. They go above and beyond to make sure she feels safe, comfortable, and loved every single day. The team truly understands the challenges that come with memory care, and they handle every situation with professionalism and compassion. The environment is always clean, welcoming, and filled with warmth ” you can tell they care deeply about their residents. I’m especially grateful for the open communication and support they provide to families. Knowing my mother is in such good hands gives me tremendous peace of mind. Thank you, Brookdale at Paddock Hills, for giving my mom the dignity and quality of life she deserves. You’ve made a difficult journey much easier for our family, and we will always be grateful.
October 2025
I don’t like being forced to stay someplace I don’t belong in. I want to go home and be with family. But family could care less about me
September 2025
While looking for a place for my 91 year old sister who is moving from independent living to assisted living. We talked to Amanda and visited Brookdale Paddock Hills. We toured the facility and it was clean, well maintained and the staff just couldn't do enough to make sure we were well informed. I must say after calling many facilities during our search, Amanda and Brookdale Paddock stood out as the most pleasant, informative and Amanda was the only one that returned calls and did what she said she would when she said she would. I loved this facility and the staff unfortunately it is too far from our home to make daily visits to my sister.
June 2025
My sister is a resident of Brookdale Paddock Hills. The staff here go above and beyond to make every resident feel welcome and cared for 24 hours a day, and on weekends! She enjoys the menu and the offerings in the dining room, including fresh fruit.!

April 2025
My mom has been in the memory care unit at Brookdale Paddock Hills since January. The staff works hard to keep the residents engaged with activities, snacks, music and meals that are served in a dining room setting. Our mom is happy, and she's made several friends. She spends more time with the group than alone in her room which is important to us. Our family visits the facility regularly and have become close with many of the staff who take care of her. They are like family, and we thank them for all they do!

I have been a resident for the past year and 8 months. I really have enjoyed my time at Paddock Hills ,but I am leaving only to be closer to family. I've had so much fun with staff and other residents alike. Sure wish I could take everyone and the facility with me!! I highly recommend Paddock Hills to anyone.

We appreciate the availability and attentiveness of the staff. Everyone is willing to help when asked during our visits. Our family is comfortable leaving our loved one at the Brookdale Paddock Hills Community.
October 2024
I recently toured Memory Care while searching for a perfect place for my relative. I was impressed from the moment I walked in. The place smelled fresh and clean, everything was spotless, and the facility was very welcoming. Residents were engaged in various activities such as, karaoke, puzzles, some were folding napkins. The environment was busy yet peaceful. The adorable shadow boxes by each room gives you insight on the person whose room that is. All in all it was very nice and friendly.
September 2024
The facility was very clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite when we came and visit our sweet friend. Love all the fall decorations! Will be back again soon to visit.

December 2023
It was pleasant but I had to wait to get in the dementia unit then had to wait to leave the unit. Otherwise is was a pleasant visit.
October 2023
We were very skeptical when placing our Mom in a facility. It did not take us long to realize that Brookdale provided our Mom with a life that we could have never provided her at home. Don’t hesitate to choose Brookdale as the home away from home that your loved one deserves. We sleep well at night knowing our Mom is cherished by Brookdale staff almost as much as we do.
August 2023
Great place and wonderful staff
June 2023
The staff were very attentive and caring towards my loved one and to us while we visited. And I also noted their caring and inclusion of residents that did not have family members there.

February 2023
Transitions are tough but Brookdale helped make this positive. Staff has always treated us with open arms and open communication.
February 2023
Brookdale has been good for my LOWD, however, the price has become to expensive to remain there for more than a couple of months. The only problem that I have had is there is not enough communication between health care department and family in my experience.
February 2023
My grandmother had been a resident here for a little over a year. Every step of and phase of her care the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure she is taken care of appropriately. The entire staff truly cares about your loved ones ! As this will be my grandmothers forever home, we are truly blessed to call Brookdale our extended family. Thank you to everyone for caring about my grandmother and the other residents
October 2022
I highly recommend Brookdale Paddock Hills for their sincere, respectful, caring staff and management. You are treated here with dignity and compassion. I wouldn't consider placing my family member any place else. It's an amazing environment!
May 2022
Our Mom moved into Brookdale Paddock Hills ALF in a studio room in April. The maintenance man Nelson, has been so helpful. Prior to Mom moving in, at our request, he painted an accent wall, put in new carpet, put an additional clothes rack in closet, replaced ceiling fan with a bright light. He since is helping get Mom’s cable for her tv fixed. The receptionist Cindy is always cheerful & helpful when answering the phone. The Med Techs Karen & Jay bring Mom her medications in a timely & kind manner. Danielle who is the Activity Director has made it a point to encourage our Mom to attend various activities for socializing & having fun! I personally have observed Mom & many residents enjoying their time in the Activity room ! The kitchen help has been helpful with meals The Wellness Director Misty & her assistant Emily have followed through with our requests & are organizing a vaccination booster upcoming event ! The Administrative staff, Joelle, Matt & Wanda have been helpful explaining the financial aspects of Mom’s care & working with Mom’s family. Overall, we are grateful & feel our Mom is doing well in her new ALF environment ! Thank you! Kristine Hankins
April 2022
The team at Paddock did a wonderful job getting my mother settled in to her new place. We choose paddock because of the feel we got when we talked into the community. Everyone was helpful and kind, we feel good knowing our mom is cared for there. The maintenance director even mounted the tv on the wall for us!
February 2022
Money hungry leeches!! Do NOT send your loved ones here. ** Bugs, short staffed, and money hungry company. I moved my mother in due to her having Alzheimer’s, but soon had to move her out. They will say whatever they need to and make any promises needed to get you to sign. When something goes wrong or there are BUGS everywhere they blame your family member. Saying they should clean… look understandable yes, but we are paying YOU the Company to take care and make sure there are no Roaches everywhere!!! Even the staff complain about the bugs and how they don’t get paid enough and that they are so short staffed. I pressed panic button when I arrived to an unforgettable sight in my mothers room. Not only did I find out she wasn’t getting her meds on time it took 35mins!!!! For someone to arrive. If that was an emergency she could have died! The head Nurse Emily Thompson and the Director of the building Joelle Watkins do NOT care about your loved ones. They only care about the money and how they can squeeze more out of you. My mother was sick and no one had any idea!!!! I could add a lot more about what I have seen and have photos as well, but basically STAY FAR AWAY!!! If you want your loved ones or even yourself taken care in a clean healthy environment DO NOT Live here Of course no one from management team has called to discuss my concern and the incident.

My father was in memory care for 6 months some staff go above and beyond others not laundry was a nightmare, I've come in to see my father dressed as a homeless man. I purchased so many towels ,jeans, shorts, and socks. They were marked but the articles were never in his room and his clothes were all missing itgot so bad I began to do his laundry and still over half of the dirty clothes were not his. Be careful of what you bring in with your love one as things tend to go missing pictures, tapestry, etc I understand the residents take things but when the articles never turn up it makes you wonder how they got removed from the unit.
July 2019
I wanted to thank Brookdale Paddock Hills for taking such good care of my Grandmother Ruth. I love hearing about all the fun events they have planned and she’s made a lot of friends (and loves visiting with their pets). She especially loves that she can have her cat. The staff is wonderful and even sends me pictures from different events and when she gets her hair done. It’s comforting seeing her so happy. A special thank you to Ms. Danielle Potter for giving her hugs from us. It means everything. Brookdale Paddock Hills is truly a blessing to our family!
March 2018
Peaceful...maybe it's the age, but the place is comfortable, like an old shoe.
November 2017
Most of the people here really do try to help the residents as much as they can. There are a few bad ones, but the good over weighs. Many employees pay out-of-pocket to help residents with supplies and necessities.
October 2015
They are great.. many very friendly and out going nurses...
