Reviews The Preserve in Fort Myers
October 2024
I have never been to rehab so I thought I needed to lower my expectations...so not true. I am so impressed with everything from the facility to the food services, to housekeeping, to OT/PT, to the in-house PA, to nursing, and of course all the wonderful CNAs. When I needed expertise, it was there. When I needed comfort, it was there. When I needed some "good vibes" to get through the difficult times, they were there. Every day the staff touched my life with care, dedication, and expertise for which I am forever grateful. If and when I need rehab again, this is the only place I would come.
July 2024
The Preserve is easily the best rehabilitation facility I have been in and this is NOT my first rehab. The physical facility is quite nice with large rooms equipped with big flat screen TVs. The nurses and CNAs are friendly and helpful. The therapists are terrific. Knowledgeable, friendly and skilled at the therapy they are practicing. I came here with 7 broken ribs and suffering significant pain. I'll leave with little pain and the ability to look after myself at home. If I ever need rehabilitation again the Preserve will be my first choice.

The Preserve has an outstanding reputation and love working with Courtney as their representative!

We are the children of Don Schweiger who had a few recurrent stays with The Preserve in Late 2023 and early 2024. Don passed on January 20th, 2024 with Hospice oversight while staying in the LTC unit on the third floor of The Preserve. I wanted to send this in an email so it can be shared with "many" with the hopes of recognition for your teams and the many employees who assisted Don (and us) during his stay. Our father's first admission to The Preserve came in mid-December after a stay at Lee Health with treatment for Cancer of The goal at The Preserve was aggressive therapy routines and he was discharged near Xmas with a readmittance a few weeks later. The entire Preserve Team was excellent and we appreciate the team and the services of The Preserve. From the front desk, to transportation, to PT/OT, to the medical assistants, nurses and physicians, cleaning, grounds, maintenance, technicians, etc; everyone had the same collaborative goal...the treatment of our father. All were very helpful and understanding.

Mom went to the skilled nursing at The Preserve straight from the hospital. After she broke her second. The staff was amazing. They attended to all her needs. Made sure her PT was successful . When it to came finding an assisted living facility, there was no doubt she would be living there. Courtney was a major reason why my decision was easy to make. Jennifer and the entire nursing staff are extremely attentive to our needs from watching over her. Taking her meds. Having doctors check in her. X-rays. Bloodwork and lab work. Make her appointments with her specialist. Arranging her transportation. There are numerous activities every day. I have peace of mind knowing our mom is safe and being looked after. I can not thank the staff enough.

The community is beautiful, clean and well-maintained! The Director of Nursing, Ryan, is a great leader and ensures top-notch care for those in short-term rehab and long-term care. Courtney is honest and caring for those interested in Assisted Living or Memory Care!

I am so grateful that my dad is now in assisted living at The Preserve. The place is immaculate; the food is healthy and delicious; there are many activities; and the staff is dedicated, competent, and joyful!
October 2023
My Mom went into The Preserve for long term skilled nursing when she turned 95, and it became her final home when she passed away a few days short of her 96th birthday. I cannot imagine a better place for her to have spent her final year. Although the building itself is beautiful compared to almost every other facility that we considered, it is the staff that makes it really special. The social director made a concerted effort to get my Mom involved with a myriad of activities, the staff (mostly full timers) were consistently of the highest quality and compassionate, and the thoughtfulness of making the "little things" like group mealtime a better place was superb. A special thank you to Dolores, the head nurse, who made it a point to reach out to call whenever there was a need or issue, and who kept in touch during my Mom's final weeks. Before you look at more expensive places in Naples, I strongly recommend a visit to the Preserve. It is, as my Mom said frequently over her last year, "Terrific."

The Preserve, what a place! Such the welcoming environment. The decore was gorgeous. I spent 21 days in there and they all were great! I was given a menu with so many gourmet options. Delicious! My cleaning lady went above and beyond... moved furniture. I was there for therapy but it felt like a vacation.

I have been working on a patient transfer with Francesca in Social Services from The Preserve to Crestavilla Senior Living in California in the span of 1-week. Francesca has been reliable, responsive & efficient through our 3-hour time difference. Her diligence through the holidays has been imperative to our success in relieving the burden and stress of a move for the family. I am truly impressed by their communication and team work during a pandemic.

I was recently at the Preserve for short term rehabilitation following unexpected neurosurgery related to a fall. I've been a very active person my entire life and up until my surgery was walking 2 miles a day and have never needed rehab. From the moment we walked into the facility we felt welcomed and could tell that the staff really care about the residents. The evening supervisor Brian made sure I got a meal since I arrived during dinnertime and oriented me to my room. The rooms are private with their own bathroom and shower. Each room has a mini fridge and a large TV with lots of channels. I would like to commend a few of the nurses which provided care to me, they made me feel welcome and took the time to help. Nurses Robert, Solange, Harlan, and CNA Edwin really stand out. CNA Edwin always took extra time to make sure I had all that I needed. In the culinary department, dietary staff were very helpful and the food was amazing. Everyone we interacted with in therapy was amazing but I would like to mention OT Trey, PT Danielle and ST Lisa. Trey in OT helped me shower for the first time after being in ICU for 5 days. PT Danielle really pushed me and helped me gain back my stregnth. ST Lisa made the therapy fun, she is exceptional and really went the extra mile. She is one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met and you can tell she loves helping people. I wish I could remember every staff that we met but there were just too many to remember. One highlight of my stay was the 4th of July event in the courtyard, what an amazing performance by all involved. I would recommend the Preserve to anyone seeking short term rehabilitation or to move into their beautiful community.

September 2021
Our 95 year old Mother spent Christmas 2020 in rehab here due to a fractured pelvis. She had been in assisted living at another facility and was doing well there except for the covid lockdown which, of course, depressed and confused her with her slight dementia. We thought she would be even more depressed and confused going to another facility but instead she seemed surprisingly happy and content. We could only see her once a week for an hour due to the covid and found her to be in good spirits. Everyone at the Preserve, nurses, therapists, CNA's , etc. were especially kind and caring which we found out with the frequent phone calls and phone conferences. However, the speech therapist, Lisa must be commended in particular for her special interest, love and caring for our Mother. She would call us while Mom was in her office singing, drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies (mom's favorite food). She even sent us numerous photos of our Mother and even a video of her walking in therapy... I cannot say enough about the kind and caring treatment Mom received. The Preserve is truly a 5 star facility and deserves every bit of that rating. Kudos to all the exceptional staff and especially Lisa.

The Grand Opening Celebration was fantastic, you could just feel the energy everywhere. Though COVID has been tough especially for the people living in communities like The Preserve, the staff has gone above and beyond to make the residents feel loved and safe. It seems like almost everyday there is something fun going on there. Check out their Facebook page to see what you are missing! The Preserve has so much to offer. If you are looking for a facility for yourself or others. Just call for a tour!

The Preserve at Hope Center. I cannot say enough good things about The Preserve rehabilitation and therapy facility. My wife took a terrible fall and needed intense therapy after release from the Trauma and ICU units at Lee Memorial. First, the rooms and overall physical plant are first class. But, anyone can build a nice building. What makes this place special is the people who work there. From the moment I contacted Lisa Gysin in Admissions, I knew I was talking to a welcoming professional. The therapists who work with my wife are top notch: Lisa Esterly, the speech therapist, Jennifer Cheng the physical therapist and Cenia Quevedo the Occupational therapist were all super, caring and real pros. Amanda Vermeesch, the RN unit manager was so very helpful in figuring out her ongoing medical needs for her injuries. Sarah Richard in social services was so good in navigating the rules and next steps. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention how caring and professional the duty nurses and caretakers are when taking care of my wife's daily needs. Natisha the floor RN, Marie the CNA, Sheila and numerous others whose names I do not know, were always there with caring professional and cheerful demeanors. The Preserve is 5-Star all the way, run by caring people with whom you can trust your love one... Neil Gerald

The videos and activities we see on Facebook are so much fun and very engaging for staff and residents. The Preserve is always abuzz with themed holidays and just-because celebrations. I know it's a wonderful place to live and a delightful place to work. I get joy just from the videos I have seen and the grand opening ceremony I attended when they opened. The staff is pleasant and genuinely enjoy their positions. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this fine establishment.
