My mother was looking for a facility that was ready for her to be active and yet still an assisted living facility. She has been there for a little over 2 years and she has had a wonderful time. At the American house on Fort Myers they always having day and afternoon activities live music especially events celebrating everything from the Kentucky Derby to Halloween and special books. If you're looking for a place that would be great for mom or dad that needs a place this is an excellent place to go to.

American house metro is a beautiful place that is full of beautiful smart staff members and people that live there, I recently moved in to the palms a couple days ago, they have a moving company called regal relocations they helped me moved in and got everything assorted for me I was so thankful for them to do this for me I would definitely recommend the palms for anyone that is looking for a retirement home that is affordable and beautiful to live in, I have made so much friends while I have stayed here for the past couple days!! The food is excellent they have fast service and welcoming servers stop by American house metro and come take a look and enjoy this retirement home that has been made for all of us!!!!.

I have been here almost three years and, easily, the most knowledgeable and accommodating person here is Bobby, head of managing this whole building. He can fix/repair any problem in the building itself, plus fixing computers and/or any other device. We all are grateful for his intelligence and courtesy.

We were very impressed with American House at Ft Myers !!! The place is just amazing in all ways possible ! Starting first and foremost, with Teresa, the Sales Director. She is just awesome in her job on organizingand planning and knows all the right contacr people ! She helped us more than we can ever tell you ! At American House, all employees we encountered were wonderful Bobby helped ua so very much!!! Also, we had a homemade pizza on Move-in night that would rival any pizza place around. Meals were awesome and rhe dining room with its high ceiling and open airy feel is exquisite ! Thank you thank you to all for welcoming my Dad with open arms !! He loves it there already !!

My mom moved into American House earlier this year, and it’s honestly been such a blessing. Kim Gawn, the Executive Director, and Terysa Harner, the Community Relations Director, have both been incredibly kind and supportive. They’ve really gone out of their way to make my mom feel cared for”especially after the tough time she’s had since my dad passed in January of this year. Funny enough, American House was actually the last place we toured in Fort Myers, but it immediately felt like the right fit”it quickly became our top choice. Everyone on staff has been amazing. The folks at the front desk”Gloria, Robert, Lisa, and Queen”are always warm and welcoming. Rickey from the medical team, Daisy who runs activities, Bobby the maintenance director and the dining room crew are all wonderful. They treat my mom like she’s part of their own family. I also want to give a shoutout to Regal Relocations, the moving company that works closely with American House. Mika and his team helped move my mom from her old home near the beach, and they still greet her when they’re on-site helping new residents get settled in. So sweet. The facility itself has a lot to offer”great dining options, fun arts and crafts, a library, physical therapy and workout areas, an outdoor pool, beauty shop and even a movie theater. Since my mom uses a wheelchair, having a fully accessible apartment has been huge. Her place has a full kitchen with a regular stove and fridge, which gives her a sense of independence even with her mobility challenges.

We are looking for an adult living community for our 94 year old mother. We toured American House in Fort Myers and were impressed with the community in every way. Terysa, the Relations Director, gave us the tour and suggested that we bring our mother back for lunch. We appreciated the offer and enjoyed the dining experience with her. They have a special area set up for families to visit and dine. The food we ordered was the meal available to every resident. There were many choices and everything we sampled was tasty. While we were there we met the activity director Daisy. She made us comfortable and made my mom feel welcome. They provide all the typical assistant living community amenities, including a pool with a walk in ramp, resident garden, and a sports area. Everything was tidy and well maintained. The ambiance reminded us of being in a resort. The most important part of the experience was the way we felt. Both times we were personally welcomed and could tell how much everyone we met loved being there. Not only did the residents say great things, the employees that we spoke with were genuinely glad to be working there. We looked at a few communities but American House was the best choice for us. We never felt pressured to commit and believe that our mom will love living there.

One wordWOW! Such an amazing facility. From the food service, to the full gym, movie room, to activities, every corner of this building has high standards and attention to detail. The resort style outdoor area with a pool, garden, putting green, and more was one of my favorite areas. The only thing that topped the facility itself was the staff, they are AMAZING! The new director really cares about the workers and isn’t afraid to step in and help out along side them. Everyone has a bright and welcoming smile from the moment you walk in and make you feel like part of the family.

We have been very pleased with the care my dad has received at American House, Fort Myers. The facility is clean, the meals are delicious and nutritious, and the staff is caring and attentive. There are many activities for the residents to participate in and the activities director and the aids frequently remind dad of activity times and locations so that he stays active. I’d like to give special thanks to Daisy who enthusiastically organized dad’s 100th birthday party at the facility.

Just spent the weekend here with my grandmother celebrating her 110 Birthday!! We love American House and the care they provide for her. Such a nice facility, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Thank you Daisy for taking the time to make Nanny’s social experience more enjoyable each week!™

American House is beautifully decorated and well maintained. Support staff and P/T are very nice and accommodating. However, this place is not a skilled nursing facility...it is primarily assisted living. They also offer respite care and rehab. Again, if your loved one needs more care than that, do not put them here. I wish the staff, in charge, would have told us that this was not the right fit for my father and he needed more care than they could provide. He was there about 3 1/2 weeks too long. If you choose this place for a loved one, please be an advocate and check on them often. I do appreciate everything Daisy, the activities coordinator and Angie, in culinary did in trying to get my father to eat, as they went above and beyond.

This is the first review I've ever written but after my recent visit to my mother, Cass, and her husband, Tony, at American House in Ft. Myers I feel I must.To begin, the facility is gorgeous. The unit, the dining area and the outdoor space are meticulously designed and maintained. It's almost a spa like environment. I ate several meals in the dining room and the food was delicious. The dining staff were all attentive and kind. The residents wear a call button and the response time of the staff was always less than 5 minutes. When providing care the staff were caring, respectful and professional. The nursing staff always seemed to arrive with a smile on their face and encouraging words. They have done everything possible to help with my parent's adjustment to this new living situation and I am so thankful for American House.
