My family member lives at Gold Choice. They have wonderful food and terrific caregivers. We were a witness to all of this craziness miss cope exhibited. She called her father every two hours. The poor man couldn’t even sleep. She was crazy The staff and Gold Choice goes out of their way to make any accommodation we need, they love the residents like they’re family. It’s such a shame when people don’t appreciate the blessings they have.

I was referred to Gold Choice/Deltona when trying to find a Memory Care home for my Dad. My dad resided at Gold Choice for 6 weeks before having to relocate due to his medical needs requiring a different kind of assistance. While at Gold Choice, Dad was extremely happy and enjoyed his surroundings to include, the other residents. The home/building is clean and full of activities to occupy the residents. The staff is extremely helpful and versed in their area of expertise! I personally worked with Community Relations Director, Deby Okum. Deby is a professional, who is well versed and rounded in her profession. She helped guide me through the process with his insurance and Medicaid filings. With Deby's assistance, her knowledge and care, this difficult decision and transition was made easier.

My mother has lived at Gold Choice Deltona since December 2017. She is in memory care. I live out of state. The place is clean and the food looks good. The turnover is shocking. Good luck trying to get anyone to answer the phone. No one answers the phone after business hours. I was just told by the receptionist that there is no phone in the memory care office, even though there has been in the past. They take my name and number and usually no one calls back. I will adjust my rating (either up or down) when my mother no longer lives there.

My mother is new to Gold Choice. When I walked through the door, I knew this place was the one. Terry Nightingale and staff , as I am getting to know... is absolutely beautiful, caring, friendly and welcoming. These pass few days, I can see it is like a home away from home. Very accommodating and they ALL care. I have called so many AL all around Deland area and Terry from the first phone to placing her in her shared apartment accommodating with information to personally seeing her on her first day. Lucky me. It is hard for the family to place her in assisted living care. Lucky and blessed we found GOLD CHOICE.

I am so glad my Mom is safe and sound at Gold Choice Deltona! The Management Team and Support Staff are A+ from the Front Desk and all the way throughout the facility. When my Sister and I visit (mostly at separate times to ensure someone is visiting every few months - we both do not live in the area) we are made to feel like family, just like the way they treat my Mom. And the entertainment, activities and food is superb! I cannot say enough about Gold Choice Senior Communities!

This is an absolutely beautiful facility. The surroundings reminded me of a fancy hotel rather than some typical assisted living facilities. The nursing staff are caring and kept my family well informed on our fathers progress. Gold Choice has been a golden choice for my whole family!

My name is Ana Torralbas, and my mother has been at the Deltona, Gold Choice for approx. one year now. I can honestly tell you that she is very happy and well taken care of at this facility. She claims that she is treated like family and everyone is always willing to assist her with any problems she may encounter. She feels as if they are one big family. The staff is very respectful when you call the facility and will go out of their way to assist you with any questions you may have. She had been in two other assisted living facilities before finding Gold Choice, and she was always in her room and never wanted to get out of bed. I thank God that we were referred to Gold Choice by her U.H.C. social worker. Her stay @ G.C. has definetly caused a change in her mindset and her day to day living. She is now outgoing and likes to do Zumba on the days they offer it. She has done a total 180° and i would like to thank each and everyone of the staff members at Gold Choice. Thanks for treating my mom as if she was family and always having her best interest at heart. I know that this is where my mom was meant to be and im glad we found this facility. Thanks, yall.

After a friend recommended Gold Choice to me as his mother has been at the Ormond Beach location for 3 years, I visited the Deltona facility and knew my mom would be in great hands there. It is a very nice and well maintained building and in a great location for me to visit. After just a few months of living there she seems so content and says theres always something to do that keeps her engaged. The management is also incredible responsive and compassionate. The entire staff just seems friendly and makes the residents feel welcome and comfortable. It really is a nice community as well as an exceptional value. I cant say enough of Gold Choice and would recommend their services and care to anybody looking for a senior community for a loved one.

I liked everything about this community when I initially scheduled a visit to look for a comfortable and affordable choice in senior care for my mother. The entire facility is very nice from the landscaping to the elegant common areas and the rooms are very spacious and well furnished. Within a month my mom moved in and she has adjusted so well and already made several friends. She tells me the nursing staff and management always strides to address any of her needs. On my last visit there was a large activity session going on and all the residents seemed very happy and involved. And I can attest that the meals are spectacular as I dined in with mom that day. After considering several other senior communities I am so pleased that I chose Gold Choice in Deltona! Thank you and keep up the excellent work!

My father has resided at Gold Choice Senior Community in Deltona and am so happy that he is very happy, healthy, and safe there. The food is delicious! The entire staff is professional and management and the nursing staff always display compassion and kindness to all the residents. The daily activities keep him very well entertained. I stopped by to visit a loved one that lived here and couldnt be more pleased by my experience. The management and nursing staff was very nice and friendly. The Executive Director Charmaine was absolutely wonderful and professional and although she seemed to be quite busy, she always takes the time to stop and talk to her residents and family. It really shows that she really loves her job and truly cares about each and every resident. My loved one says shes so comfortable because she is always treated like family. The facility is clean and the food is excellent. The entire staff truly cares about their residents. I highly recommend Gold Choice to anyone that has a loved one that needs to be cared for.

Exceptional facility. Professional staff are very responsive and compassionate. This is especially appreciated in regards to those you are in memory care. I have had horrible experiences at two other memory care senior facilities for my father and Gold Choice has been a Godsend! The entire building and grounds is very elegant and well maintained and there always seems to be some kind of activities or entertainment. The meals are phenomenal as well and from personally coming from a hospitality background I can honestly attest to the food quality. Living in a consistently clean facility with a great overall staff is a breath of fresh air. Never take high quality living conditions for granted! The facility is clean, friendly courteous staff. My family member was in their memory care unit for 10 days of Respite. When I first took my parent to Gold Choice, she had a 50mcg Fentanyl pain patch on her back, she walked well and happy into the facility. When I went back to bring her home, I was abhor by how ill she seemed, in such a deep sleep that it was difficult to wake her up. I got scared, I had to shake her and raise my voice at her. I noticed slur speech, in a stupor like, sitting in the dinning room over a puddle of some liquid. I asked the nursing assitant about the bruising on her arms, why she wasnt in bed sleeping and why she didnt have her pain patch on? Why does she look worst than when she came? She responded Mom was out of patches and that she doesnt want to go to bed. Mother left Gold Choice in a wheel chair that I asked for and in a stupor like, didnt even recognize me. At home, I noticed more bruising all around her hips and on the back of the head. I took her to the Emergency room for her to be checked out for any hematomas or broken bones. The scan showed negative, but the PA acknowledge all the bruises and that Mother was very dehydrated for which she got 1000cc of IV fluids. I believe the assistants are not qualified to work in memory care. Mom, 86 y, o, demented, on Fentanyl plus Tylenol PM. If the assistants were rightly trained they would know to raise the question to the nurse of an 86 y, o being a fall risk. I will not request respite time at Gold Choice again.

I am impressed with all of the medical staff at Gold choice. They are all so friendly and nice to residents and visitors. they recognize family members and are so nice and helpful with any inquires. My daughter is a resident there and is very happy and content to be there. a lot of enjoyable activities. The entire facility is very clean and organized , not overcrowded.
