This was my Father Herb Lukachek's 2nd visit in just over a 1 year time frame. When he arrived the 2nd time we noticed a difference from when he arrived the 1st time. The CNA's were very accommodating and the onduty Nurse was very pleasant abd helpful. It was apparent that the overall positive attitude, demeanor and caring of the current staff has come up compared to his 1st visit. My Father received very good Nursing and CNA care on a shift by shift basis. Another strong point of this facility is the PT, OT and Speech Therapy depts. All the staff in these depts really put in detailed care to get their patient to a level they can get ready to go back home and function in all areas. There is a new SSD that shows genuine concern for each patient and their needs. This was a big positive compared to his 1st visit. The negative employees were no longer on staff for his 2nd visit ( that was a concern we had ). The food selection and meals are very good. There are many MVP's working at Westchester Gardens which is why it is one of the top facilities in Pinellas County, Fl. My Father stayed 5 weeks and they successfully got him ready to come home. We highly recommend making this your choice if you or your family member needs a rehabilitation/nursing facility. Regards, Steve Lukachek

The staff are responsive and kind to my Down Syndrome aunt who has been there since January. When we have a concern, they take it seriously and address any issue with immediacy. She is clean and well taken care of. We took her out of a place that was neglectful and in some instances abusive and were so THANKFUL when an opening came up at Westchester Gardens! I am a Caregiver and not someone visiting family. I've only been here about 3 times so I really can't form an opinion so quickly. Westchester Gardens Health and Rehab appears to be a nice rehab. I know the CNA's, Nurses, Speech Therapists, Doctors etc. all seem to be very nice and caring and helpful.

Staffing issues, some but most are not attentive. They did not respond to residents call buttons, did not change linens on shower days, did not administer meds according to schedule. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone unless it's the ONLY available option with your insurance, and even then, I would visit daily to ensure that your love one is being fed, and properly cared for.

I have a 98yo friend who fell that is in Westchester Gardens. The place is well staffed and staff is very personable and professional and willing to help if needed. Some of the staff has been there for 14 + years! The receptionist, Margie, is a gem. They have computer check in and out and security locks on doors. I am not very technical and Margie patiently and with her great smile explained all to me. They have activities everyday for patients. Each patient has there own tv. As no one enjoys being away from home or being in rehab, I know my friend is getting great care and attention here. 6.26.25 My friend is now 99yo and still resides at Westchester Gardens and is receiving consistent wonderful care. Staff is fabulous, caring and friendly. They respond quickly to requests. Nina in the office overwhelms me with her hands on caring services, memory and guidance. It is a great place when your loved one has the need to be there. 9.10.25 I had a nice short visit today with my friend. He really enjoys his naps so didn't feel like visiting today. I met Judy ....not sure if nurse or an aid.... who was so sweet and patient with my friend. I could tell they have a genuine connection and fun interaction. The staff is amazing here! 10.24.25. I met yet another fabulous employee here today. Laneisha came into room with her huge smile and kind, caring personality. She was handing out medicine but you would think it was a treat. She treated them with respect and kindness and didn'trush them. Both men in room were very receptive to her and she shared that beautiful smile with them and me.

My 88 year old father was there for about 3 weeks after a fall and he received excellent care. The record keeping and documentation was thorough and accurate. I would consider him a somewhat difficult patient yet he was handled perfectly. He couldn’t walk when he got there yet 3 weeks later he was discharged and he was back on his walker as he was before the fall. Thank you for the care and attention.

I'm at the begining of the experience of care they are providing for mom, but so far everything and everyone have been excellent . Lots of caring people and a beautiful facility. Updated 9/14/25. I'd like to thank the administrative staff Katrina and Nada, Palliative care Jessica, and especially Nurse Candy for their wonderful treatment of my mom in her final days. I could not have asked for a kinder or more compassionate group of people, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their care of my mom Twila, and for their compassion with me. You are the best!

I feel this rehab is false advertising, 15 minutes to 30 minutes a day is not adequate. They should call it a senior rest home, they are great at leaving them in bed all day. I must give Social services director Katrina Davis, five star ratings! She went above and beyond, she was always there to help and support my mother and I. Never saw a real doctor, only overworked Physicians Assistant, who had no time or concern for my mother. WestChester Gardens Health and Rehabilitation was recommended as a five star facility, by Morton Plant , I would not say a five star. Do your homework when looking for care!

The entire staff here is really great to work with, listens to your input, and adjusts their program accordingly. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is due to the lack of a carb-restricted diet. My wife is diabetic and I have to bring in low-carb, low-sugar alternatives to the meals they provide. Seems like the average patient population is elderly and I'm sure there are many in their care that would benefit from a keto-type diet.

Went to visit my cousin for the first time, the facility is nice and seemed busy. The only thing is that she didn't seem to like the limited food options,I had to ask for water for her and her room mate. The PT lady seemed knowledgeable and was very nice. This is one of the better places I have been to when a relative has been at a place like this.

My mom arrived shortly before 8:00pm. We were greeted by Tracy and she was extremely helpful in getting mom settled and telling me all I needed to know. A few minutes later O.T. came and she also was very helpful. The next day I was extremely thankful that mom could get a recliner because that is what she is used to sleeping in. I have a sister-in-law that is bedridden from a fall at her home. I feel Westchester Gardens Health and Rehabilitation is helping her that she will in the future be able to walk again. All the staff, nurses, therapists and activities staff are patient, caring, organized, and have the expertise to give my sister-in-law what she needs.She likes the care and all the people who meet her needs. I come at all different times to see her and like that she is looking forward to the therapy and the different activities offered.The place is kept very clean and has nice outside areas to relax and visit as well as two areas inside to gather and watch TV, listen to music , and just socialize. I am so appreciative that my sister- in- law is here at a great place when you can’t be at your home.

Travis, I would like to express my gratitude to you and the members of your team at Westchester Gardens. My mother came in for rehabilitation from a broken ankle and may have to remain, sadly, for an undetermined amount of time. My father followed her a few weeks later from a respiratory infection to recuperate and receive some additional physical therapy. The staff, through their various roles, demonstrated both care, compassion, and patience.
