If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Elan is beautiful, and the staff, amazing! My mother moved into Elan about a year ago. After the first week, she told my sister and I how much she loved living there. It was a big transition for her to move from her home to Elan, but at 95 years old, she knew she was ready for "assisted living". My mother made so many friends there - she loved all the activities and social gatherings. Big shout out to the staff: Whitney, Shannon, Teresa & Debbie. (and so many others). These are truly caring & compassionate people. Sadly my mother passed away several weeks ago, but I am so glad she had a great last chapter of her life at Elan. Thank you Elan!

Elan has made the process of moving my Mother in Law into Assisted Living so convenient. First off, the building is beautiful and welcoming. So many activities for them to do on a daily basis. Whitney and the staff are very accommodating, communicate often and so welcoming. It is as if they are working with their own family members. We love Elan and highly, highly recommend!!

We were very impressed with the Elan facility. The staff were very friendly. Whitney Barkey was very pleasant and informative. Very much someone who is proactive in giving your loved one the best care possible. Also the time to give us a tour of the facility, not once but three times. Met the Executive Director, Shannon Scragg, also very warm and welcoming but what impressed me the most was her presence there with the residents. Ready to help if needed. Would highly recommend Elan.

Recently my mom, age 93 became a resident at Elan Manatee. Moving a parent to Assisted Living is a huge transition, very difficult on all family members. I toured a few communities and felt Elan would be the best match. The one thing that impressed me was the cleanliness of the entire place and friendliness of everyone we encountered on our tour. Whitney Barkey, Community Relations Director, was the most knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate person at our initial meeting, providing us with so much information. Our family felt she had a sincere interest in our mom’s adjustment and ongoing care. We wondered if this would continue after placement and all I can say is Whitney has my mom’s best interest at heart and continues to go over and beyond expectations. Additionally, we had many questions after placement as all this was new to us, and she answers text messages and phone calls very quickly considering all her responsibilities! The other staff are also amazingly kind to the residents. My mom has wonderful things to say about the aides that help her when needed and the response time has been quick. Know that adjustments to Assisted Living can be very difficult on elderly and there will always be some issues. It creates considerable anxiety for older people to adjust to new life changes, meet new people and all that goes along with the transition of independent living to assisted living. However our primary concern is that she lives in a clean, safe environment with friendly staff. If we could suggest anything it would be a tutorial on the thermostat control and television set up and operation. In summary, it has only been a short time but our family is very pleased with Elan Manatee; the staff, food, housekeeping, safety all get 5 stars from us!

It's not easy finding a place for a parent that fit their needs. We found Elan Manatee Memory Care for mother which was the best fit. The staff provided compassionate care, meeting all of her needs. The facility is exceptionally nice, is clean and yes, always smells clean. The receptionist's, care givers and nurse were attentive to her needs as well as needs and concerns of our family and communicated well. Daily activities were provided. I am thankful for the support, kindness and loving care to our mother these past years.

We moved my parents into Elan Manatee in Bradenton, FL February 2020 following a health emergency for my dad which prohibited them from remaining in their own home. Although the adjustment was very difficult for them, the caring staff at Elan Manatee did their best to make them feel welcomed and cared for. Unfortunately my dad passed away 4 months after the move. The staff not only cared for and comforted my mom (who was in their secured memory care section and didn’t really understand what had happened), but also extended that same care and concern for our family. My mom just passed away on September 11th and although there had been many staff changes due to the pandemic, the care, comfort and concern remained constant. This is due in large part to the leadership at Elan. I feel blessed to have had my parents in such a beautiful, well maintained assisted living/memory care facility so close to where I live. Shannon Scragg, Executive Director, has been wonderful to work with during every aspect of our time at Elan, even during her most stressful times of dealing with the pandemic issues. Sheila and Shirley have always been so welcoming to me and my family every time we signed in at the front desk area—I will miss seeing them every week. Special thanks and kudos to the memory care staff for their care and patience with my mom during her time at Elan—I know how challenging that was at times for all of you. Brandi, Samantha and Chrislene were with my parents from their very first day until they took their last breath and I saw first hand how much you cared for my parents. You will always have a special place in my heart for that♥️♥️

I highly recommend this Facility!! We just moved my Mom in (from another nearby facility). The staff has been so helpful to Mom and all of us during this quick transition. They have gone above and beyond to help us make the transition as smooth as possible.The staff is attentive, friendly, and caring; there is concern for the well being of the residents. The atmosphere is charming and the residents are cordial and so friendly. The food is great! The facility is beautiful. Many useful amenities and Mom loves having Direct TV (she has found it has been more reliable than Spectrum cable).A special thank you to Janette R. and Susan W. for their above and beyond guidance and attention to all the details!! I searched many memory care facilities in the region and this was my choice. Wonderful staff. Shannon the Director is great and Rikki the head nurse is very good at communication. The facility is beautiful. Main reason for choosing this memory care is the size of the community which is 25 residents with a huge common area allowing freedom to separate from one another. Wonderful outside area also. This was an out of state move and everything possible was done to make the move as easy as possible.

My husband has been in this facility for 4 months. It has been hard for both of us but I would like to tell you about a fabulous nurse, Jackie DeSantis. Jackie is not only kind, caring and compassionate, she is also proactive, knowledgeable and doesnt stop until she solves any issue that arises. I feel so grateful for her nursing especially during this crisis. The staff there is excellent but Jackie is one who goes above and beyond! Elan is lucky to have her.

I have been employed at Elan Manatee for about 5 months. I knew the minute I met Shannon, the Executive Director, that I wanted to work there. I have a degree in management and I was an Operations Administrator for 20 years for FDOT. Shannons management style is superior. Her staff is happy to come to work because they know they will be treated fairly. In turn if they are happy, they will do their best to ensure the residents are as happy as possibleWe are all struggling with the Covid outbreak, but be assured, Elan Manatee is taking all precautions possible and doing their best to care for the resident by nature am not sunshine and butterflies, but Shannon has reminded me that while in her building, I will be. I remind myself that every morning when I arrive at work! It is my pleasure to work with all of the staff at Elan and it warms my heart to see the love and compassion given to the residents. I am myself a senior citizen and I would be blessed to live out my golden years at Elan Manatee!!

My mother, who suffers from Alzheimers disease, and I attended the 91218 Memory Cafe event at the Elan Manatee welcome center located at 7230 55th Ave East in Bradenton. I cant say enough good things about the experience. We were greeted and guided through the County Fair-themed event by several people including Dr. Cate, Dementia Coach; Rene Cole, Community Relations Director and Del, Memory Engagement Specialist. They quickly got my mother engaged in some craft projects and games that she thoroughly enjoyed and provided a number of fun fair-food treats. I also benefited from the experience; in addition to having the pleasant opportunity to socialize with others who are caring for memory impaired loved ones, the staff provided me with several tips that have already eased and improved my dealings with my mother as her caregiver.
