My mother has been at sunrise for the past 8 months. I cannot express how wonderful and caring all the personnel has been. From the receptionist to the maintenance crew everyone has been so warm and helpful. My mother extensive care and she always looks immaculate and well cared for. My mother spent time at several other places and none come close to the loving care that she has received at Sunrise. I highly recommend this home.

I am an outside vendor that has been providing services for the residents on a daily basis for over six years. Sunrise has a very homey atmosphere with many activities running every day. Residents are encouraged to participate and meet their fellow neighbors. They have outings to restaurants and shopping centers. They also try to find matches in interests for new residents upon move-in to pair during meals. The memory care unit is my favorite of all North Wilmington facilities as they spend their days out of their rooms engaged in activities. I would recommend this facility highly!

I am very grateful we found and trusted Sunrise Wilmington with our mom’s care. The timing of her move-in was past the worst of the pandemic but still while industry-wide challenges with staffing due to vaccination requirements, etc. Such times are a true test of your choice in care. With anywhere and any type of decision…you can experience challenges. Humans make that so. This administration and this staff has HEART, dedication, and resilience and thus persevered through it giving of themselves more than one could ask…in service and devotion to their residents. The expectations of staff’s care for residents is set high, and the staff regularly meets those expectations. Good food choices, well thought through and delivered activities, attentive care, clean facility, effective medicine/medical management and receptive and responsive staff and administration…the whole package exists here with people that have a heart for those under their care. Thank you Sunrise family!

As an outside contractor providing home therapy services to residents at Sunrise, I have to say Sunrise is a wonderful facility. I feel welcomed, included, and at home every time I come to Sunrise. The staff is friendly and helpful, and always greets me (with the exception of Snowbell the cat who can go either way!) The residents are welcoming and pleasant, which indicates they are happy and being well taken care of. I would recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for ALF care for their loved one.

From the moment my wife and I walked in to Sunrise, the facility seemed so alive and vibrant with people socializing and happily chatting with each other...the place was decorated superbly for the Christmas holidays and it just had a small town feel about it, right down to the cat "Snowbell" who was wandering around the lobby area...it just seemed like a wonderful place for my mom...thx to the sunrise staff for making this an active and caring place...D.K.
