Horrible place to work. Unfair to the residents; they deserve more care and less selfishness. Owner is obsessed with money, costs, and continuing to expand her company without addressing staffing issues, resident satisfaction, and important household issues (two houses has janky elevators, owner will not fix until the house “census” is up). Overwork their employees and expect them to always be available because they work in “health care”. Doesn’t give employees paid time off, most houses do not have activities assistants and are understaffed to the point that it is unsafe. Dishonest about offering alternatives to your loved ones as they often do even carry what alternatives are offered. Management is horrible. No communication or genuine appreciation to staff

My grandmother lived at Homestead for the last 2.5 years of her life. We are so grateful for the staff and residents of Homestead. Grandma was content and comfortable. Thank you Gardens Care Homestead.

My father lived at Homestead for 4-1/2 years and recently passed away there at the age of 100. I can't say enough about the compassionate and loving care he received from the excellent caregivers and other staff. They supported our engagement of hospice care when that became necessary and worked closely with the hospice providers. Caregiver Roselie is incredible and administrative staff Kelly and Meredith were extremely easy to work with to accommodate my father's needs. All the staff truly places the well being and needs of their residents first and all of them, whatever their job, were always friendly and respectful to my father and other residents. I was there a lot and always saw how gently and compassionately the staff interacted with residents. The new owners have done a lot of renovation to spruce the place up and provide new opportunities for social activities for the residents. It is not a resort, but it has a wonderful, homey feel that my father found very satisfying and comforting. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Homestead.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Staff is very friendly and attentive with all the residents. Owner is very personable and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of for us. The space is also very homey and welcoming.

My friend was fortunate to live at Homestead during her final years. The intimate setting helped everyone get to know each other. Personal assistance by the caregivers was always first rate. The meals were excellent and served with flourish. I commend Jo and Staff for operating a clean, safe, caring assisted living home for seniors.

with my months spent at the homestead i can honestly say that this is the best assisted living facility i have worked at. Julian the lead for nursing is such a sweet and compassionate person, he cares a lot about his residents and a lot about his employees, he goes above and beyond for everyone. The owner Randy is such a sweet and yet really blunt person! i enjoyed my time working here because Randy treats all his employees like they are family!Even through disagreements Randy still smiles and moves on with the business! Caregivers Nicole, & Maxine always make sure that residents and employees have a smile on their face! This company is a GREAT company to work for, and an extrodinary place for a loved one! BEST REGARDS TO THE HOMESTEAD, SIERRA!
