The staff is caring and professional. My mom is getting great care here from the nursing staff, the CNA’s, the Physical Therapists and the Occupational Therapists. The Case Worker has also been a terrific help in overseeing her getting-back-home plan. Some of the food selections are excellent - the egg salad sandwich, Rueben sandwich and meat loaf dinner are tasty examples. Modernizing the beds and linens would be a good addition to the excellent staff and the many food options.

My father-in-law was placed at Western hills for a short time. Due to his health, he needed to transfer to the hospital. However, from the very first phone call I made, the staff was responsive, sincere and genuinely interested in meeting his needs. During his short stay, we engaged with nursing staff, physical therapy, scheduling for upcoming appointments, the social worker and the director. Everyone was so responsive and helpful. Knowing that the staff cared so much and paid attention to detail, provided such peace of mind. I would highly recommend other families to reach out to this facility when looking for care for a loved one.

I had to unexpectedly place my 95 year old father in a nursing care facility with hospice. I had no idea where to go. Thanks to the hospital case manager I chose Western Hills. Dad was there 13 days before passing. The administrative staff was amazing. The transition from hospital to Western Hills was all taken care of for me. Once at Western Hills my family was greeted like they knew us forever. The nursing and medical care he received was outstanding. Choice Hospice coordinated care with Western Hills and I can't speak highly enough about both. When I took my 92 year old mom to visit they treated her like a queen. I would definitely bring any family member to Western Hills.

I’ve stayed in a few rehabs and this one made me feel like they really cared. I have to say there were a couple of issues, but I went to someone to solve those issues and they were very understanding and took care of it for me. The night time CNAs are just amazing! They would come and check on me and if I needed anything, they were right there! The daytime CNAs were good but I think they are so busy that sometimes it would take awhile for them to answer. The therapy staff are just wonderful! They would work with me and always give me the attention I needed. They have activities that patients can go to, which is something a lot of other places don’t have! They even have Karaoke! The food is pretty good! I loved the grilled fish! if I ever have to go to rehab again I will chose Western Hills, above any other place !!

I am a frequent visitor of Western Hills. Every time I have been in the facility I have been greeted by friendly staff and a clean, welcoming environment. The biggest plus to this facility is that there are dogs there to brighten up the vibe. No one wants their loved one to have to live or stay in a health care center but having the friendly dogs there makes the whole situation better. There is a boxer there, Lincoln, who especially brings joy and a playfulness not often present in a health care facility.

My family member recently stayed at Western Hills Health Care Center, and I can honestly say it was a much better experience than anything we had seen elsewhere. From the moment we walked in, the facility felt welcoming and clean, and the staff treated us like family. The nurses and caregivers went above and beyond to make sure my loved one was comfortable, safe, and cared for. Any questions I had were answered right away, and the open communication gave me real peace of mind. The rehab team worked closely with my family member, and the progress we saw in just a short time was incredible. Compared to other facilities we visited, nothing came close to the level of professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail that Western Hills offered. My family member wasn’t just another patient here ” they were truly cared for with respect and compassion. I would highly recommend Western Hills Health Care Center to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will receive excellent care. It really does stand above the rest.

My grandmother had a delightful time staying here! The staff treat residents with the respect, dignity, and patience they deserve and I think that speaks volumes. After touring several other facilities, I can say with certainty that not everyone is operating with this level of engagement in their care. All of the staff I interacted with here went out of their way to accommodate my grandmother. It’s so difficult to replicate the comforts of home in a nursing home, but allowing the staff to bring their dogs in does just that. The dogs (all very well behaved in my experience) bring so much life and joy to the building, giving residents a belly to rub and a reason to smile. Such a brilliant idea. She said the food was always great while she was there and I am so grateful for the quality of care she got. Hospitality at western hills is not a goal, it is a culture. Thank you to your team for operating with such consideration and integrity!!

Wonderful place for your loved one to call home, staff is outstanding , Nurses, CNA’s are awesome everyone there cares , highly recommend! Everyone is so helpful 24/7. There were some good things. Place is clean, they let me bring my cat for visits with my significant other. Most people were very nice and good at their work. They deserve four stars. But I am only giving two stars because of three horrible people. One of them shoved the catheter in and made him bleed, especially when he pees. This person also had the catheter tube turned in such a way so that the urine would not drain completely into the bag. (I noticed this when changing his daiper at home.) At first I thought it was a mistake. But now I think it is on purpose. Of course this person knew better! Another person made him sit in a wheel chair for many hours. While it is good to get out of bed and sit in a wheel chair for awhile ,it is not good for hours and hours every day. He was told this was part of his physical therapy and that it was good for his muscles. So he willingly sat there even though his behind hurt very much. While visiting I did not know he had sores on his behind. When I was taking him home the nurse gave me a spray for wound care. I wondered where he has a wound. While changing his daipers at home, there was this big wound on his behind and it was bruised all around it. I put neosporin on it and band aids, but it got worse. So I quit using Neosporin. After we got home I tried to get Mount Evans Home Health Care to help him. They required certain paper work and kept calling their social worker. Over and over Mount Evans called her and she would not respond AT ALL. We waited and waited anxiously. Weeks went by. Finally the lady at Mount Evans gave up on her and called me. She told me he can get this paperwork from his PCP. So we did what we needed to do. When the Mount Evans nurse came, she helped us greatly with wound care. She saw that his catheter tubing was twisted and when she fixed that he had more pee and junk comming into his bag. She is concerned, and said he is close to getting a UTI. She said she will come back and do all she can to prevent that from happening. No thanks to that guy who made him bleed and twisted the tube so the catheter didn't completely drain the pee into the bag. These people have ZERO stars. The two stars are for the people who are stars there. But I only gave two stars. Because of these three people I can't give this place four stars. Not even three stars. Two stars is only because I am kind.

My husband was at Western hills for rehab and then he ended up in long-term care everyone I mean from the director to the cleaning people the laundry everyone was absolutely wonderful I hope sometime I can volunteer however I have some health problems. I have recommended Western hills to people that are looking for a place for a loved one. I visited today and everything looks beautiful because changes have been made to the outside the flowers are beautiful they are redoing rooms. everyone is so friendly during the time that my husband was there it was like my second family because I tried to be there every day that my health would allow. Because of this place and their staff I am able to heal and even walk now after a nasty fall on my hip, which needed surgery. Not only was there mastery of up to date medical care and procedures but there was the daily curative affect of the entire staff's personable demeanors. Nothing cures more than the appreciation and cheerfulness toward your fellow man. Their's never wavered! Thank you all and much love to you and the immensely important paths you have taken. I'd like to add that the place itself is also astounding---beautiful rooms and art work and timeless architecture and the latest in theraputics (you should see the room called the gym!) I will think of all of you (and there is a large staff) very often and the things I learned from you--like yes I'll know now when it's going to rain or snow! And the wealth of info for a super healthy life. These things have a ripple effect! The people there also affirm that the Spirit is alive and well and community and heart building very much in vogue at Western Hills! (I didn't put names but you all know who you are---you let humor and goodwilll reign!)

My 97yr old mom went to WH after falling and spending 10 days in the hospital. Her 30 day stay in a skilled nursing/rehab/non-medicade room from day one was a blessing. From the the Receptionist, case workers, Business manager, nurses, therapists and overall staff , everyone actually cared and made her comfortable. Based on the care needed I would recommend this community.

This place is wonderful! They took such great care of my mom. We both worked here 20 years ago and it was great then too. Some of the staff were even still there and that says a lot about a nursing facility these days. My mom said the staff were so accommodating and caring. I live in another state now and it was so stress relieving knowing she was in good hands when I couldn’t be there. Their team is lead by the absolute best administrator. The long term care industry in Colorado is beyond blessed to have Charity as a part of their team! Thank you everyone at Western Hills!

Beautiful community! Staff were inviting and friendly. During my tour there were no unpleasant smells, the building is clean and inviting. After working in the senior industry for over 25 years I was impressed with the appearance of the residents and courtyard. It shows the staff truly care about the seniors they care for.

Because of an illness, my walking was affected. I was there for a few weeks for rehabilitation. The staff was impressed with my recovery process. The entire Western Hills Health Care Center staff and atmoshere was great. They made my stay bearable.
