Peggy was admitted to Aspens after a stay at MCR where she was hospitalized , diagnosed and treated. I was concerned at first but I soon realized my concerns were not valid and that Peggy was receiving excellent care at Aspens Memory Care. This facility is clean and well managed the daily menu is also top notch as well as is the activities program. My family and I feel we made the right decision for Peggy's health care

My family and I were so thankful for the care that our loved one received at Aspens Memory Care Fort Collins. We felt like she was kept as safe as possible, and was well loved by every staff member. The staff was always communicative regarding changes in her health, and would let us know if there was an illness going through the facility. That was very much appreciated. Our loved one would light up during our visits talking about how great this nurse was, or mentioning that aide was so kind. That helped us feel like the relationships were genuine even through the daily struggles that she was dealing with. Again, we couldn't be more thankful that we chose Aspens, they helped her pass respectfully, and gave us true peace of mind. Thank you!

My wife has been a resident of the Aspens Community a little over a month. It was after personally observing the high standards of care that was given to my wife that I felt compelled to share our experience with any and all families that may be considering a Memory Care facility for a loved one….First of all Aspens is not an institution, like a hospital, for dementia care. Aspens is a community of friends and loved ones receiving similar care. The environment is "Homey" and not sterile. The residents are treated like a close knit family by the staff….Secondly, the staff is highly trained in the proper up to date methods in handling and providing dementia associated care. All the staff exhibit compassion, empathy, and the highest standards of professionalism while assuring that the respect and dignity of the resident will never be compromised….Finally, all ancillary services are equally excellent. The Receptionist, the Nurse, the Administrative Staff, the Chefs, the Person doing the laundry, the Maintenance Team, the Staff that keep the facility clean and the many others who under the direction of the Executive Director work together to provide the excellent care that the residents receive on a daily basis….In summary, The Aspens of Fort Collins is an excellent Memory Care facility staffed by outstanding and highly trained dedicated personnel.

The care staff is kind, patient, and loving. The food is very good and the chef, David, really cares about the residents. The actvities director, Samantha, is energetic and full of ideas. I visited six different facilities over a period ot two years before choosing Aspens at For Collins for my wife. I think I made good choice for her. None of the care facilties are like home, but the really important thing is that the staff is compassionate and loving. They have sometimes slipped a little bit on the housekeeping of the apartments and the cleaning of the common areas, but not enough to lower my rating from five stars.

Treated my mother with kindness. Appreciated all the help they gave the family working through the death.

I'm very happy with the care my husband is getting. The staff are kind, caring and respectful. They have really become like family to my husband and to me. My husband is non verbal, but the care givers have learned how to know what he needs and make him comfortable. I call regularly to see how he is doing and they give me the details of his day. When I visit they are always checking on him and spend a few minutes chatting with me. I highly recommend Aspens at Fort Collins!

My mom has lived at Aspens at Ft Collins for over a year now. She is happy and I have watched the staff interact with the residents and they are caring and patient. The atmosphere is homey and not institutional. Dementia is very difficult for a family but I am happy to know mom is being cared for. I video call her every night and things are always going well. The staff is truly caring in a difficult job.

Because of many problems with my husband's former memory care facility, my daughter and I moved him to The Aspens. This was two and a half months ago and it was absolutely one of the best decisions we ever made. My husband's care at The Aspens has consistently been excellent. They treat my him with so much respect, kindness and compassion it is hard to put into words. They have a staff of caring and competent caregivers and the management staff is also very involved. They meet regularly to discuss each of their residents needs and they go out of their way to make things happen. There are activities galore and my husband no longer seems to be so lonely or bored. If you are looking for a memory care facility for your loved one, look no further. The Aspens is wonderful. As one of my husband's health providers said, "hands down, The Aspens is by far the very best". We couldn't agree with them more!

Love the staff! They have been very helpful with my mother and I, while adjusting to her stay here at Aspens at Fort Collins.

This is the best memory care in the area! My stepdad was in a place in Denver and fortunately we got him moved here in May, he spent 4.5 months at aspens before losing his battle with Parkinson's. The nurses were all compassionate, patient, sweet towards the residents. We visited all hours and days and I never saw any neglect or anger. They do a lot of activities, have amazing food and everyone truly loves taking care of the residents. Communication was great, they let my mom know everything from my stepdad falling to becoming irritated. I'll actually miss seeing the nurses and residents because they make it feel like a family. Thank you for taking care of Glenn!

August 2022
After having a challenging experience at a different memory care facility in the area, we were very anxious about how things may go for my husband at The Aspens. However, after my husband was admitted, within the first week, my anxiety about transitioning my husband here quickly dissipated and we realized he was in the right place! He has now been there about 6 months and thriving. We couldn't be happier and feel very comfortable with not only the care he receives there, but the fact that all staff are knowledgeable and competent in helping those with dementia and their various needs.

June 2022
My father lived at Aspens for the last several months of his life, and I can not say enough good things about this facility. Every staff member is helpful and kind, and I always felt like my dad was cared for. Within the first two weeks of his stay there, he called to tell me, "I love this place!" The facility is nice and well maintained. Whenever I called, someone answered the phone no matter what time of day it was. My father wasn't able to eat solid foods at the end of his life, and the kitchen was very accommodating of his needs. I sat with him during several meals and the food that was served to the other residents looked delicious! Obviously not food that came out of a can. I was also impressed with the level of enrichment provided; during one of the meals I attended, a staff member went around the room with a puppet and interacted with every resident in the dining room. I am so glad my dad lived out his final days at this facility. I was comforted every day knowing that he was in a place that would give him competent, compassionate care.

After rehab at skilled nursing facility, Dad needed a new place to live. He found a new home at The Aspens. In the month he has been there, he has comfortably settled in, is establishing a routine, and is making friends among the residents and the staff. He likes to sit in the comfortable common area with its big windows looking out at the lovely courtyard. A walk around the courtyard hallway is just enough exercise after an always good meal. We can rely on the competent, skilled, and well-trained staff to assist him kindly with care and compassion. This move was a blessing in disguise.

Amazing and kind staff
November 2021
When my loved one moved in, the Executive Director at the time made us feel cared for, and she created a very compassionate environment. Since that time, the staffing turnover has been immense at all levels. To their credit, they have kept a few of the best staff members, including the activities director. Carina does an amazing job trying to engage the residents. The difficulties all along for us centered around communication with families. It became increasingly problematic to know what was going on, and to understand how loved ones were being cared for, which should have become a priority when families weren't able to visit due to covid. On top of that, there were medication errors and many short staffing problems. In the end, when my loved one passed, I did not even receive a sympathy call or card or acknowledgment of our loss, despite that being his home for more than 2 years.

Unfortunately, my experience at Aspyre Rock Creek was very poor. Though they seem to try, we never got comfort that my father in law was being well attended to. In fairness, the industry has a reputation of paying very low wages and the work is both physically and mentally tough on a person and the turnover is off the charts. Our father in law is still at Aspyre/Aspen these days and I truly wish the new management well. With all these types of memory care places, don't look at all the new surroundings, new carpet and paint. Ask the hard questions, how much turnover do they have, what does their training program entail for new hires, how long has the ENTIRE staff been on board, do they have references. So far, we have gone through four different management companies and they all have failed. Beware, they are very good at promoting how wonderful they are.

Unfortunately, my experience at Aspyre Rock Creek was very poor. My wife had some behavior issues and was, to say it kindly, asked to leave. The executive director said they would allow her to stay until we found another place for her if a family member stayed with her 24/7 so I ended up staying there with her for nearly a month until we were able to find a behavior treatment center in Ft Morgan. Aspyre had NO mercy. I knew others there that had similar issues. It seemed that they wanted only the docile, mellow residents. They also had a very difficult time giving her meds and bathing her. Shortly after this horrible experience, I moved her to New Dawn in Colorado Springs a 5, where they lovingly and beautifully cared for her until her recent passing. Of course they will say they have changed but I am very suspect and would encourage you to look somewhere else if your loved one is not the very mellow and easygoing type temperament. I'm giving 2 stars only because there were a few competent and compassionate caregivers there. Otherwise they would get a 1. Beware, they are very good at promoting how wonderful they are.

And Im a very hard worker and all of the residents like they are my own family . So please reach out to me I really would love to work for this company .

My grandmother and I took a tour of Aspyre Rock Creek and we were very impressed. The facility is extremely clean and the staff always had a smile on their face! I will be happy to have her live here and know that she will be safe and treated with the upmost respect! If you or your loved one is looking for a new home, Aspyre Rock Creek is the place to go!

The attention to detail, the excellence in care and the phenomenal care that the staff displays is unparalleled! From the very first interview to the day we moved our father into Aspyre, and to this day, we have experienced nothing less than the best from this community. Everyone from the Executive Director and following has been helpful with each challenge presented and has offered an abundance of communication to help my fathers move go smoothly. Moving a loved one into memory care is emotional, to say the least. However, the staff at Aspyre has made it one of the best experiences that we couldve asked for.

We just moved my mother in law into Aspyre Rock Creek. Erika and staff have been amazing throughout the entire process. We hope that my mother in law will enjoy her time at Aspyre.

Our entire experience with the staff at Windsong at Rock Creek was magnificent. Every CNA should be taught the way these caregivers are taught. I have recommended them to anyone who will listen. You people are amazing. Keep up the good work.
