After nearly two years of keeping Dad comfortable at home in hospice we had to make a change. He couldn’t afford more home health hours, those caregivers were not always quality help, and the last minute call outs with no replacements were of great concern to my brother and I, who both work full time. Dad had a couple of falls at home, and I began visiting assisted living facilities. We chose The Bridge as a family. Dad had known someone who lived there previously. He loved his apartment, with all his own furniture and decorations. He bonded with staff quickly, and still had the autonomy of his own private apartment. We were lucky enough to get one with a wonderful view of Pikes Peak! In the first week Dad had his covid booster shot onsite, as well as a haircut - we’d been struggling to make those things happen in a timely manner. His first day there he was eating with other residents in the dining area and enjoyed meeting other veterans. Though I know leaving his home of 48 years wasn’t what any of us had wanted for him, he admitted he was “right where he was supposed to be”, and comfortable. His third week there his health took a turn and we lost him shortly after. Having the staff available to check on him, notify us of changes, and be the support we couldn’t have afforded in his home was completely invaluable. I know caregivers in this field are not paid what they are worth, but the staff at The Bridge feel taken care of at this facility, so they are happy employees who have a true passion for the residents. Many of them thanked me for “sharing my dad” with them. I seriously can’t glow enough. Were there glitches - sure - I’m confident had Dad lived longer we’d have worked everything out. We were learning a new system of what we could and couldn’t do with dad in a facility vs home, (medications we could administer at home had to be handled by staff, to the point they took acetaminophen and salon pas patches away). Hospice had some communication issues that were resolved quickly, but needed some urgent attention. Getting dad’s same cable package and a secure network before he moved in would’ve helped his transition tremendously. The staff at The Bridge were adamant that they would hang artwork to make it more homey, and when it didn’t happen in a timely manner my brother knocked that out in a couple hours, which really made it feel like home for Dad. We never thought we’d move him and be hands off, I only mention these things to let future families ask more questions and help your loved ones transition as smoothly as possible. (The internet provided is not a secure network, the cable package provided is confusing to use, no talk to remote, way fewer channels than expected - but upgrades to those services were inexpensive - not terribly easy to arrange due to it being a corporate account you are adding to, but entirely possible.) For anything negative there were so many more positives. Again, though apartments are clean, the food was reported to be tasty, the covid protocols were comforting, it was really the staff that sold us. I could not have asked for better help in those last, difficult days.

Used to be a great place for my in laws - management changed and no longer interested in the care of the elderly. A conflict of interest from the assisted living and the rehab center I feel is inappropriate mgmt. There's few of the employees that still make an effort but management seems uninterested in tenants well-being.

The Bridge is a beautiful Assisted Living Community with sister locations within walking distance for Independent Living and Long Term Care. A person could age in place and transition to the level of care they need as they need it. The amenities were shared between all three with a few duplicates for private use. The center had several cozy traditional style seating areas, activity rooms, and a friendly staff and residence. The food smelled good and they serve food from their ala cart menu all day with specials at meal times. Rooms were spacious and very nice. Kitchenettes had full size refrigerators and laminate floors. Some rooms even had patio access to outside. Showers were walk in with no lip to prevent tripping. They partner with Rocky Mountain Senior Care so they have a resident doctor who is available at least once a month. The staff is very friendly and they allow pets. They have a nice Courtyard for walking your dog or hanging out with friends. Over all nice place, but neighborhood was in the middle of a business, medical park, which leaves little to do outside the community without transportation.

I could not have managed the last 15 months without the stellar care she received at the Bridge. Without exception, every member of their staff was kind, professional, caring, giving, and helpful. My Aunt was happy there and that meant everything to me.

My mother has been a resident for over a year now. The Bridge is a very professional place. They know what they are doing. The facility is well maintained. It is very homey. The staff is excellent. They are caring helpful people. The food is great. The dining room looks like a restaurant. Very inviting. There is never a concern about cleanliness. The programs and activities are many and varied. The staff is very proactive at involving residents to participate. You can be proud of where your loved one lives when you drive up to it or as you discuss it with others.

The Bridge has been a blessing in my life. They take the time to work with the residents and families. My mom (Darlene) has been there now over a year and has blossomed. All the staff is wonderful and takes the time to work with her and the activities provided have lifted her beyond my expectations. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that the food is wonderful and they always have a great selection. I would refer them to anyone who is looking to find a great place for their loved one. I cant say enough good things about The Bridge. Thank you to all of you for the blessing.

The staff at The Bridge have been wonderful -- on-line, emails, phone calls and personal visits. There has not been a time in the last 6 months since my father entered that I have not had helpful, caring, compassionate people helping me. My father speaks very highly of all the staff. From Connie, Caren, Marge to the receptionists to the wait staff to the lady dusting -- anytime I have popped in day or night they have been smiling, chatting with residents and always wonderful!
