If you want to be surrounded with hard working people, a management team that takes action and a care team who love their residents then The Retreat is just for you! We have survived through a world pandemic and come out stronger for it. We understand that through perseverance and caring for others we become our best self's. I have had the privilege of working for this community for three years and see myself being here for many more years to come.

My mother has been a resident of the Retreat for almost a year.I have nothing but good to say. From the front desk (Nikki and Jalyn)to the staff (Michael, Cooper, Sarah, Chyenne, Sheri) and the office (Alma, Michelle, and Thasha) They are always available and very helpful. They have taken greatof Mom. Even with Covid and all that has happened with that,they are always quick to reach out with concerns and respond to me every time. The food has been very good, and they always know when she does not attend and make sure that a meal is delivered to her room. Thanks everyone for a job not only well done, but going above and beyond Chuck

What an amazing team of caring individuals dedicated to the population they serve. Truly one of the best Senior Communities in the area where you are free to socialize and enjoy your independence while knowing they are there to assist you should the need arise. The Retreat was our favorite property. They are a newer community with very thoughtful touches to their community for an Assisted Living. They have wide hallways, big elevators, and lots of public restrooms in the common areas. Their apartments were very spacious and with nice high end finishes. They have full size refrigerators in all apartments and lots of space for food and a microwave. The bathrooms had a no lip walk-in showers with lots of space of a walker or wheel chair. Their community fee was the highest we had seen, but they were willing to negotiate that with us. They have more frequent housekeeping and laundry services than most and laundry rooms for those who want to wash their own clothes. They also have their own pharmacy and will take residence to their appointments on any day, not just a few as many other places would do. They have a beautiful courtyard and a semi fenced doggy area on the side of the building. They have a gym for PT, OT and barber, beautyshop on site. They do several activities and go on several day trips just like the other communities. The menu and dining facilties were very nice and available from 7am to 6pm. The meals were pretty good with a meal special at each meal time and a set menu they can order from at any time. They will even deliver food to rooms if wanted, but dinning room eating with other residence is encouraged. They also have Rocky Mountain Senior Care that comes to the facility, their pharmacy is PhArmerica and they have Kinder Health for PT, OT. However you dont have to switch to their providers if you have your own. They have memory care available for those who need it, but all residence get the call button, tracker to help them be found if they miss their meds or a meal, need help or simply want some cookies & milk. Their care packages were very reasonably priced and encompassed all of the care he needs. Over all this was our favorite and is the one for my dad.

My mom has made the Retreat her new home since December 2019. Our experience has been very positive since entering their doors. We are grateful for the kind and loving staff that keep her safe, healthy and happy. We cant imagine her being anywhere else during this pandemic, they have gone beyond measure for the care and safety of all residents. Our family loves the Retreat at Sunny Vista!

I recently moved Mom from another memory care facility to The Retreat at Sunny Vista. I was impressed with this facility right away. The building is clean and beautifully decorated. The management seeks feedback and addresses issues to continuously improve service. The care team members who utilize the portable technology system know the specific care to provide to residents throughout the day. Residents are able to independently visit different areas of the facility while still being seen and electronically monitored by staff. Mom is now much calmer, engaged, and happy. I would like to give recognition to an outstanding employee: Manny is great at motivating and comforting the residents. My siblings and I feel fortunate to have him on the team that cares for our mother.

I have been a nurse since 2013 and this is my first experience working in an assisted living facility. I have to say it was really rough at first due to the lack of staff, but the team here really works hard to make this an easy and enjoyable place to work. It has been a great first place to learn how to manage as a nurse in assisted living. I have enjoyed working with and getting to know the staff members and residents. It really is like a family, and such a great team to be a part of!

I am an employee at The Retreat at Sunny Vista so I know I am a bit biased but I have worked at a few Senior Living Communities during my long career and truly feel this campus is one of the very best! The team from the CEO to the leadership team, to the housekeepers, culinary team and the care partners are all VERY dedicated to the service of our residents. I have seen so many examples of staff going above and beyond to make sure the residents feel SAFE and loved! I am honored to work here and plan on being here for a LONG time! If you are looking for an excellent home for your loved ones, give us a shot! You will not be disappointed.

My wife lives at Sunny Vista. She is very particular about food and even when she was home my cooking was not up to the standard of her mothers cooking, so let me address that as I have given it an average rating. She complains there is too much fried food. However, the staff will offer other choices if the menu is not what she wants. I have not made any complaints because some meals are very good and she has said so (though still not up to the standard of her mothers cooking!). Among the many positives: Sunny Vista is an excellent and well-cared for facility; the management and staff are extremely responsive to needs; SV has very good staff; even the CEO makes frequent visits and knows the residents by name; issues are addressed tout dsuite. Examples: One cold night her heater stopped working about midnight, Staff could not get it to work but she had a down quilt. When I arrived in the morning the room was cool but not uncomfortably so. Her quilt needed washing that day so I went to Costco to get her another quilt till the heater was fixed. By the time I got back the heat was on and already up to 74 degrees. Incidentally, each room can control their own heat or cooling. Most music or any loud noises bothers my wife. When a visiting piano player caused her much consternation, staff moved her twice to areas of the building more quiet, finally taking her upstairs as far away from the piano as possible. Her room stays very quiet when the door is closed. Medication changes have to go through a cumbersome process due to state laws. However, the head nurse and nurses on duty have been very responsive and willing to personally call my wifes doctor to clarify medication changes. Daily life has been pleasing to my wife. She has made a few friends there. Meal times are a real community experience and a time when we get to meet relatives of other residents. Activities have been engaging for her and at times the highlight of her day. One of the two activities directors leads residents playing memory games on a seventy-five inch touchscreen computer they have. I havent seen this at other facilities. Other facilities have a tiered care system that costs more as a resident requires more care. Sunny Vista has one single Room and Board charge that includes whatever level of care is needed. My wife is still pretty independent but another facility rated her two points away from needing a higher level of care which would have added another level of monthly cost. They were already slightly higher than Sunny Vistas monthly charge. I hope this helps others to make an informed choice when needing the services of assisted living care.

I truly feel that retreat at sunny vista is the best assisted living center and memory care in town. Residents always look happy and content, the care staff really care about the residents, the building is new and always clean, and the food is very tasty. I have been a employee in Dietary for 7 years and love my job! My mother lived at the old Sunny Vista Building for 5 years and got to live at the new beautiful building when it opened in 2012 sadly she passed 6 months later but the staff was wonderful and caring to her she loved them like family! I am so blessed to have seen both sides as a family member and employee. Getting to know and care for residents and their families is the best feeling!
