My mother was a resident for 8 1/2 years and loved the Inn at Garden Plaza, her apartment, all the staff, food and fun activities. The employees are the BEST; compassionate, caring and helpful. The turn over was minimal, which is a great reflection on the leadership provided from the Exective Director Christine, filtering down to all the employees.

Melissa Trent showed me around and she was such a great tour guide. They have a lot going for them. It gave off such a friendly vibe and I love that they have a pool and hot tub with so many things to do every day. This is a special place.

My Mom loves it here. Her apartment is just the right size. She participates in outings, exercise classes, and swimming. She is a retired art teacher and she really enjoys the art classes. It beats her sitting in her home just reading. My mom does not eat in the dining room due to hearing loss and sensitive to certain sounds. She likes the food choices and says it is good. The staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful. Christine does a great job, and it's not an easy one. The Inn is always clean and has a welcoming atmosphere.

My mother loves it here. At first I couldn't figure out why she'd want to be in an old folks home, buy the food is five star, so is the staff. The only thing not done for her is laundry. They even clean her place every two weeks. They even have a convenience store,indoor pool, games, movies. She seems very happy there. I'm happy for her.

Mom was at “The Inn” for over one year and we spent plenty of time observing and getting to know the staff, eating in the dining room and meeting residents. I couldn’t be happier with what I saw. EVERY staff member at “The Inn” was so helpful and friendly and obviously wanted to be there. The staff organized many activities and the residents who participated thrived and looked forward to these events. The staff cared about outstanding service to the residents and their well-being. The dining and food service operation was outstanding and I looked forward to joining mom for Sunday Brunch and other meals during the week. We met couples and individual residents who searched all over Colorado Springs for an independent facility and chose “The Inn”. I saw first hand why. I only wished we hadn’t waited so long after dad passed for mom to be in this environment. We should have talked to mom sooner to make the move. Kudos to the Executive Director and her Leadership Team. They really have created a great environment for seniors to thrive, at “The Inn”.

The first time we walked in we felt like we were home. Community rooms are elegant and professionally decorated but feel very comfortable. We looked at several communities and did not find one that offers what The Inn offers. Love the windowed Garden Room with an enclosed courtyard on each side. The staff are so caring and friendly. Director Christine cares for both her staff and her residents and is well loved and respected. The meals are excellent with a wide variety of menu choices. Sunday Brunch is as nice as any I have been to in CO Springs. We cannot say enough good things about life here at The Inn. Don't choose a senior community without checking out The Inn at Garden Plaza.

My brother David had been at the Inn for a few years. He loved it. David is not very elderly but he has a head injury from an accident that occurred about 15 years ago. He was gone for a few months but is now moving back. (His whole family is overjoyed (David included:) ) The director Christine Ferguson as well as her staff are top notch. The place is clean, organized and all (staff & residence) are happy, kind & caring. The fo9od is incredible and all the dining staff treat each resident like they are number one, If you are looking for a place to put your loved one - THE INN IS WHERE YOU SHOULD GO!

All I can say is this is a FANTASTIC place for your senior loved one to live. Staff is phenomenal. Everything you need is right there. My dad lived there for 6 years while I lived in Michigan. I knew they would be there for him when I could not be. I had to move him back to Michigan for assisted living when he was 96. While the place I have him now is wonderful, it does not compare to the Inn at Garden Plaza. We LOVED it there and miss all of the friendly staff. Dont hesitate to live there. You will truly enjoy it!

My parents stayed at the Inn during some home renovation and my father fell ill and passed away and the staff and residents were amazing with supporting my mom and family through it all. We consider everyone at the Inn family and recommend it to everyone. We can not say enough good things about this place! 5 stars (10 if I could)

My Father who is now 94 and has lived at the Inn at the Garden Plaza for over ten years..I live in San Diego Ca and do not get to visit as often as I would like so it is a great blessing to me knowing he lives in such a wonderful and beautiful facility..Each time I have visited him over the years I have been more impressed each time.. He is very well looked after and I give a great deal of that credit to its fine Director Christine who is one of the hardest working professionals I have ever met..She works so hard making sure each resident is looked after and cared for..Her staff is the very best and always cheerful and willing to help in anyway they can..My Fathers apt is always clean and the food in the dining room is supurb..Thank you Christine for all you do for my dad as we both know he can be a handful at times..lol I never worry knowing you are there and he has the best care possible..Daniel Butler..

The atmosphere of the public places is warm and relaxed, the building seems well maintained, the apartments are nicely designed and the variety and quality of food and snacks is great.My mother would often comment they have thought of everything here! My mother has been a resident here for several years and has been very happy. For these reasons I highly recommend The Inn at Garden Plaza in Colorado Springs: excellent responsive staff who really care about the residents, multiple activities and trips, creative, and fun party ideas, a sense of community, a Philosophical Cafe that provides intellectual stimulation, tasty meal selections with an excellent wait staff, and attractive apartments and public spaces. The director, Christine, has been particularly helpful and responsive to mother and me.

My grandmother lives here and the place is amazing. There is always something for her to do, like bingo, billiards, ice cream socials and movie nights. The staff is genuinely caring and they go out of their way to make every resident feel special.

My Mother in Law moved in over the Summer. She is extremely happy, comfortable and feels so safe compared to living alone. She has made numerous friends and goes on most the outing which she is seeing and doing things that she just never imagined. I would suggest Garden Plaza. Resident with spouse here for almost two years. Food is great. Activities are plenty to fight off boredom or loneliness. Daily appropriate stretching, strengthening exercises. Philosophical cafe and other Pillar activities for intellectual stimulation. Bridge groups. I like the hot, hot tub and the pool with a pool jet as well as many water activities. Have seen the advantage to couples of having a good nursing home and a good assisted living on the same campus. The wide well-lighted and carpeted hallways are great, especially for those of us that need walkers. I was alittle taken aback at first by the high percentage of residents that needed walkers but soon had occasion to join the crowd. The safety features are well thought out (such as high enough toilets, senior showers with grab-bars) and have several ways to get emergency help. Transport for shopping, medical appointments and outings is great. All in all, I think we made a very good decision to come here..

The first time I walked into The Inn at Garden Plaza, I was very impressedwith the elegant but homey atmosphere. I liked it from the start.But I wanted to check out every option in Colorado Springs, which I did.Then I started thinking about the location of various independent livingplaces, and found that The Inn was perfect. Its in a quiet location, not nearlarge streetsand highways. There are many medical offices in the area, anda pharmacy that delivers prescriptions right to The Inn.The staff here are awesome, and I love it. My car is in a garage, and I havevalet service when I need to use it. And its not so huge that you feel youare part of a mob scene. I have made many friends and enjoy life here.

My husband and two friends celebrated New Years Eve with my mother-in-law at the Inn. The food was outstanding. Joey, the Inns chef, came out and talked with people at each table. He knew all the residents by name and interacted with them in a positive way. Jennifer waited on our table and she added a lot of fun to the evening.All the staff we ever come in contact with, knows my mother-in-laws name and seem to have a genuine interest in her well being.It was a very nice evening with, food, friends, music and dancing.

I have worked at the Inn for 4 years now. I tell people all the time that our residents are the best. Our residents are very friendly and welcoming. When a new resident moves in they quickly make new friends and begin to enjoy what we have to offer. They will join outings, card groups, and start to move their bodies more than ever before with our fitness classes and water aerobics. We have weekly entertainment and we have the liveliest group of dancers than most people have ever seen in a retirement community. If you want to just relax and enjoy retirement that is also available, try our jacuzzi! Many visitors have shared that they love the building, decor and the staff are very pleasant. I love my job and serving our residents at the Inn.
