Home. Mom's apartment is her home. Brookdale is her neighborhood. The staff helps her integrate home and neighborhood. We still do our favorite 'home' things, like our girls movie night and slumber party. I sleep over. We watch movies, sleep late and then we go out for brunch. When I'm slammed at work I know she's safe, well fed and welcomed in participating as she chooses.
