I cannot say enough great things about Windsong of Sonoma. It is far superior in every way to comparable options. From our first and subsequent visits, each staff member was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the communal rooms was bright and cheerful. The resident rooms were clean, warm and homey. The courtyards and gardens were lush, well kept and inviting, yet safely secured. The restaurant food was healthy, varied and available to residents all day. The resident community is happy, active and inclusive. We especially appreciate Lisa Lomeli for introducing us to this wonderful residential opportunity.

Transitioning my grandma to Windsong has been an incredibly positive experience. Because she was moving from out of state, the process was especially complex for us to navigate”but Windsong supported us every step of the way. In one sentence, stepping into Windsong is like stepping into a warm bath of kindness and service. People are always eager to support my grandma, and as a family, we feel genuinely welcomed. They’ve created a safe, warm environment, and the staff seem truly happy. During the transition, Lisa, the sales manager, communicated thoroughly and was consistently responsive and kind. Lauren, the director, is warm, attentive, and always on top of things. Nicole, the Vibrant Life director, continually creates a fun and engaging atmosphere, and Alicia, the Resident Care Director and nurse, is incredibly supportive. Every staff member we’ve encountered has been kind, patient, and attentive. I couldn’t recommend Windsong highly enough”it’s a real relief to know my grandma is so well cared for.

The staff are so supportive. The environment is lively and happy. Everyone there is so sweet to my mom and takes such good care of her. This is the second assisted living facility that we have had my mom live at and this experience has been the best!

To the staff,when a removal company comes in to transport a deceased they need to have their portion of the paperwork prefilled out and have us sign before leaving with the deceased. We really don’t need to be stoped in the hallways with a gurney filling out not just our part but yours as well. Have a nice day.

One extra star for the caregivers. Otherwise what a frustrating experience. Still waiting, 3.5 months later, for an overdue refund after our mother's passing. The general manager, John, and the mystery accounting person will completely blow you off, ignoring your calls and emails. Always the usual, "I'll get right back to you..." I'm still waiting.

What a wonderful place. Clean and bright. Rooms were spacious. They have daily activities including arts and crafts and Bingo. They have several outings each month. They supply transportation to and from appointments. Windsong has a wonderful library and a beautiful dining room with a menu of high quality meals. They also have an all day menu that you could order anytime. No need to go out and have your hair done. There is a beauty salon in Windsong. Their staff is honest, caring, and very professional. Most of the staff have been working there for many years. I read an earlier review that gave Windsong 1 star because she didn't get hired. Maybe she didn't meet the high standards that they require of their staff.

My dad is being very well cared for in this clean, safe and welcoming community. Each and every staff member I have encountered is warm, inviting and truly invested in the people they support. Their attention to helping my father transition has been exemplary. I am enjoying getting to know the whole Windsong family and look forward to many more visits. Visited my mom yesterday. There was scraps of paper on her floor in her room, clothing and other items strewn in her closet, including wheelchair feet....she does not us see a wheelchair! Often is wearing other people's clothes. I took pictures, but unfortunately did not save to phone •

This is the most caring, beautiful living space for Seniors that I have ever been to. My family is so blessed to have found it. They have taken really personal care of my father and he is happy, and we are more than grateful to Sunrise Senior Living in Petaluma.
