Very clean and well decorated place! Love that they decorate for holidays. Unfortunately most the care people don’t know how to put a smile on their face and that goes for some of the servers too. One even wears a mask and looks sick, not sure why they would think she should be serving. The new girl miss hope, lives up to her name. Such a sweetheart! Good luck to her on her new job!

My mother has been at Sunrise at River Road for about 10 months and we are extremely pleased. She never thought she would move from her home she lived in for over 40 years. We looked at a few places, but this one stood out above all. The staff is always welcoming & helpful. The facility is always clean & the food is really good. There are different room sizes to choose- studio, 1 bdrm, & 2 bdrm that all have microwaves, refrigerators, roll in shower. Not only has my mother found a new place to live she has also made many new friends. She loves the back patio where she can watch birds & enjoy the sun. There are many daily activities for the residents & they do fundraisers for charities. There are all different levels of care including memory care. Guest are welcome at any time and residents are able to come and go as they would like. This is a beautiful community that is warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this community for anyone needing a little more help with their daily life.

Sunrise is a beautiful community, with gorgeous views. It offers Independent, Assisted and Memory Care. They offer large apartments, tons of outdoor spaces and have many events specialized towards the residents interests. I have toured my clients there and the residents are so happy and love living there. They have employee longevity, which means a lot to me and my clients. Fonda the sales director is an incredible asset to our senior living community. She has helped me many times! I visited today and they have decorated it so festive!

We believe some of the nicest people we know show up on the 3rd floor at Sunrise daily to enhance life for 25 or so people with dementia problems. A recent series of events brought home more good reasons for being here. For a few years I have been ferrying my AD afflicted wife to her Primary care Provider and her Neurologist/Psychiatrist. At different and fine institutions but seemingly always understaffed. Standing in line, waiting and dealing with Medicare paperwork with an AD impaired person can be tedious. Also, she has frequent bouts of bronchitis, five or more times/year, for which our only known successful treatment is a burst of Prednisone, a six day process that requires a provider visit before it can be prescribed. We just completed isolation due to Covid 19. Since the onset of Covid my greatest fear was that my wife would not do well with a further attack on her respiratory system. On the Monday before we were diagnosed with Covid, Bronchitis came to her. Late Monday I called the Sunset Provider, he answered the call himself and said he would see her Tuesday AM. At our rooms. He did. He prescribed the Prednisone. It was delivered to the Sunrise med-Tech and administered that day. Whatever paperwork may have been required was done by Sunset staff. We both tested positive for Covid on that Friday and my wife came through it without a cough. Later when the Provider examined her, in her room no less, he pronounced her cough and wheeze free. He and I agreed that the speedy treatment for bronchitis likely saved her from the usual serious attack on the respiratory system by Covid. By having access to all these medical services in house, a possible disastrous medical nightmare was averted . Thank You. You run a tight ship. David Rollins

My mother-in-law has been at Sunrise at River Rd for over 1 year! We looked at 2 other Senior Living Facilities in Tucson and by far Sunrise was at the top of our list! It has the MOST home-like atmosphere, it is beautifully & professionally decorated for each season of the year & the staff is very friendly, helpful & CARING, which meant the most to us! Several of the residents readily shared with us how much they enjoyed living at Sunrise! We saw LOTS of smiles on the resident’s faces, which we did NOT see at other 2 places we toured! We are very happy we chose Sunrise for so many reasons: 1) Sunrise’s staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to support their residents & their families! They treat their residents and the resident’s families with dignity and respect and are easily approachable for questions or concerns. 2) We found out that Sunrise follows the Norwegian model for senior living which is quite different from the American model. That difference was very apparent when we toured Sunrise & when we read Sunrise’s website, the Norwegian model was explained! That became another major reason we chose Sunrise @ River Rd. 3) There are various activities that are listed on a daily calendar for residents from walking groups, in-house concerts, in- house movies, games like Scramble that keep senior’s minds active and of course bingo games plus a lot more! 3) There are also many activities that go on outside of Sunrise like trips to the movies, trips to places of interest like Desert Museum, shopping trips and going out to eat at restaurants! My mo-in-law loves those trips!! 3) There is a menu choice with meals so the resident is able to pick which meal they would like plus the desserts are to die for! On special occasions, there is a brunch menu that is exceptionally delicious and family members can join their loved one for those meals in main dining room! We are happy & feel very blessed that we found AND chose Sunrise and so is my mo-in-law! It was the right choice for ALL of us!

Our family toured 7 Assisted Living and Care Homes to find the Best living environment for our Mother. We knew she was "Home" when we toured Sunrise at River Road! The facility is welcoming, comfortable, and felt like home. The staff from the top down are amazing, caring, present and after a year, what we experienced on the first meeting and tour is still the same today! There is always some activity going on throughout the day to keep the residents busy and engaged and social. The Care staff treat our Mother and our family like we are a part of their family. A friend of mine has been residing now for over a year and a half at Sunrise in Renaissance, their memory care facility. It has been a good decision from the very beginning. The environment is lovely and welcoming and the staff members, headed by Katrina, are well-trained and supported. Their loving attention and friendly, approachable manner make it easy for the residents to feel accepted and respected. The staff to resident ratio is excellent so that care is given quickly and efficiently when needed. That's such a comfort to the family (as well as the resident). Everything at Sunrise is QUALITY! The availability and communication between resident and staff and family, is superior. The facility itself is attractive, always clean and well-maintained and the variety of activities, dining options and levels of care can't be beat. We searched multiple Memory Care facilities before making this choice and are very satisfied!

My parents are currently living at Sunrise at River Road. Here is thier expirence: About a year ago and a half ago I started looking for a place to move into. My wife's Alzheimer was progressing, I went to Phoenix several times and looked in at 7 places. I got tired and started looking in Tucson, a manager of an assisted living facility that had no Alzheimer's suggested sunrise at River, she was right. I took a tour that day and bought my wife a next day. She was happy and impressed. No buy in required, no one using your money. We have been living here since December 2021 and in this time have gotten to like it even more. The very nice caregivers and the management are more like friends than bosses and employees.We made some nice friends and you couldn't have more activities to choose from. Very impressed with this place. Extremely clean and secure. Staff and residents 100% vaccinated.The atmosphere is comforting and inviting, feels like your own home.The care is very individualized and I felt things were included in the regular rate that would be extra charge at other locations, for instance, staff makes beds daily and personal laundry is done once a week along with linens. The directors I spoke with seemed to really listen to me. If I were to have my parents here the only drawback would be it's a bit of a drive from my home.

Sunrise staff are exceptional. Facility is very nice as well. My mother was scheduled to move in but passed away just before moving in. The staff were so helpful in getting apartment ready to move in and then when we could not move her in, they refunded my deposit and funds. This was nice since they had really gone out of their way to move her into assisted living. They arranged movers, hung pictures, and fixed any apartment issues. Very helpful and understanding.
