The Cascades is an awesome family-run independent/assisted facility on the Eastside. My husband has Parkinson's and early dementia and his care is so good that he said I should have moved him there months earlier. Everyone on the staff of every section is caring, and bends over backwards to care for the residents living there. It's hard to leave a spouse in the care of someone else when you are no longer able. Cascades makes it very easy and I have complete trust in them. Thank you Mr. Howard, for the facility you run and your amazing staff.

I would like to Thank Crystal for her help and time spent showing us the facility. She answered all off our questions about the Memory Care Center and what to expect. She made it an easy decision even though the decision was incredibly difficult. She was always available for questions and always got the answer for us. Great at her job and so personable. After the decision was made for Mom to move into the Memory Care we met Tamra. Her job is to facilitate the move in. It is a very complicated process and she made it a breeze. She gave us a clear path to follow to get all the things needed for the move in. With all of her help it was accomplished in 1 week. She was available anytime we had questions and met with us whenever we needed her. Don't know how we would have been able to do everything required without Tamra. Before Mom moved in we met Anna the Director of Memory Care. We knew immediately that this was the place for Mom. Her enthusiasm and dedication to her Center was obvious from the beginning. She came to the house for the initial assessment and immediately made Mom feel comfortable. After Mom moved in she gave us daily updates on her progress to adapt to her new surroundings. Seeing her making friends, talking to other residents and really feeling comfortable in her new home made it easy for us to know we made the right decision. The entire Memory Care staff has been wonderful. Anna has done a fantastic job of putting it all together. Cascades of Tucson is in good hands with staff like Crystal, Tamra and Anna. Thank you so much.

My mother lived here for the last two years of her life and the whole family was truly impressed with the quality of life, activities and care she received. Cascades is a phenomenal environment for your loved one. The entire staff is an absolute joy to interact with and they go above and beyond to accomodate the resident's and family's needs. Communication is the key to success and the staff, from the caregivers, facilities, housekeeping, med techs, assisted living and memory care are helpful, trustworthy, kind and most importantly respectful. If you're looking for a community for your mother or father, look no further. This is the best Tucson has to offer, incredible.

We are a new family to Cascades but I cannot express how warmly we have been welcomed to this community. Every single person with whom we have dealt has been kind, caring, and most importantly, genuine. These are women are who are committed to their jobs and to their clients. We moved to Cascades from another assisted living facility in Tucson and the engagement and reception we have received at Cascades is exponentially better than that we received at our last facility. Seriously, like night and day. I encourage any family who is considering assisted living for a loved one to look at Cascades. Special call outs to Tamra, Nela, and Megan. They are tops in my book!

We're considering Cascades for our father. He's a few years out, but the community is just what we're looking for. The residents and staff have just an electric warm welcoming. Many of them stoped to say hello and talk with our dad. They have two beautiful libraries! Which is perfect for our father who just loves books. They also have some pretty cool activities, like woodwork and whiskey, and wine tasting. Definitely an amazing place to check out! Crystal is amazing!

Recently had Lunch at Cascades while visiting, and I was really blown away by both the quality of the food and the excellent service we received. Have had family in other care facilities, over the years, and I'd say hands down The Cascades food was miles ahead better than what I've had elsewhere. And just seeing the way their staff takes care of their residents. It's truly fantastic. Hats off to the crew at the Cascades, thank you for taking amazing care of your clients. Matt

I have been meaning to write this review for some time. This whole place is a God sent! The staff is wonderful, the accommodations are great and the food is tasty. My great aunt and uncle moved in at the beginning of May and unfortunately my uncle only got to spend a week in restful bliss before he passed. My aunt is now in the memory care wing. She was of course saddened by my uncle's passing but really loves the hospitality and kindness she receives in the new apartment. The staff is very communicative and attentive. We could not be more grateful for the hoops they went through to get her into the apartment as quickly as they did. We love that she is somewhere safe and we are so close we can visit whenever we want to. This whole process would have been harder on the whole family had she not already fallen in love with The Cascades. I highly recommend.

I cannot speak highly enough about Cascades of Tucson. My parents have been there for almost five years now so I've been able to observe their care over time. The management and staff are friendly, sincere, caring, approachable, and responsive. When my folks or I have a question, need, or problem, Cascades listens and responds. The day-to-day operations are well thought-out, giving as much support, consistency, and freedom as possible to the residents, while keeping them safe and well taken care of. The attention and protection given to the residents during the worst of COVId was remarkable! Rigorous, science-based rules and procedures for staff and residents were instituted and strictly maintained, reducing the spread of the virus as much as possible. Cascades' management worked with national and state of Arizona officials/departments to make sure the residents were able to receive tests, vaccines & boosters as soon as possible. All of this was communicated to residents' families clearly through frequent emails. Knowing my parents are in a safe, clean, and loving environment means the world to me since I live miles away. No facility is perfect but Cascades comes very close, with the management & staff making up any difference with true care and responsiveness. I'm forever grateful and HIGHLY recommend!

90 plus elderly indvidual here, and ALBEIT I have only spent 6 months in the facility, and am ready to return to my so-called condo only because there is no place like home. I was indeed in bad shape when I first joined Cascade. And, I cannot but give great credit to Cascade for my experience , and somewhat recovery in the facility. The staff for the most part are friendly, responsive and helpful. Like all institutions of this size, and nature of business there is always room for improvement. Having said what I stated, I would certainly consider returning to Cascade, if need be. Hope that day never arrives, but ITS THE NATURE O F THE BEAST at my age. It was certainly a POSITIVE experience for me.

Cascades of Tucson is widely acknowledged by many Cascades residents as the best senior home in the city. Management is caring and concerned, but usually too heavily burdened to be able to devote the time needed to address, or even understand the residents' issues. This is especially true of the Healthcare Department. As the largest department in the facility, they also are confronted with the greatest challenges, and their delivered results frequently leave room for improvement. One example is the use of agency Caregivers. These individuals are technically qualified, having passed the state-mandated training and certifications. However, upon being assigned to Cascades for the first time, frequently on weekends, it is apparent that they have been given no training about operating withing the Cascades "system." The counter example is Maintenance. Perhaps the smallest Department in the facility, they respond quickly and effectively although having recently changed management. The Culinary Department is constantly understaffed but delivers very good and sometimes outstanding service but frequently timeliness suffers (note the comment about understaffing). All things considered, Cascades is a very satisfactory place to live.

We chose the this place because it felt like home. Unfortunately my Moms health would not allow her to stay. The residents seem very happy and everyone is friendly. Everyone gathers around the fancy coffee machine. If Mom gets better, we hope to go back. The staff is great-Wendy, Beth, Megan, Judy, the front desk staff, and the support staff.

My Mother has lived at Cascades of Tucson for over a year. She is 98 years old and lives independently. At her age, the initial move was stressful to her but the team at Cascades made her feel welcome and helped get her into a routine. Now she is very happy, she loves the staff, and now has a social life that she hasnt had for a long time. I think Cascades of Tucson is a smart choice for individuals who either are independent or need full assistance. It has been a huge relief to my family to know that she is being watched over and taken care of.

My wife and I visited the Cascades of Tucson this week and found it an excellent experience. We received intellectually honest advice (rather than marketing) from Teresa Knable. We found the food tasty and the menu with valuable choices including a salad bar. The servers provided attention to us and all the residents equally. They sincerely worked at meeting everyones individual needs.

We met Theresa who gave us a tour of the facility. We were impressed with the apartments, dining room, library, and all of the common areas where people could gather and socialize. The entire building had an inviting atmosphere and it was spotless. We were very impressed with all of the activities that are available and the variety. The transportation they provide is a big plus also. We arent quite ready to make the move yet but we know we would enjoy living here!

I am so grateful to both of my children for finding the needle in the haystack. After a stroke, right out of rehab, I spend fourteen months at cascades ofTucson.A therapist myself, I am picky and demanding Looking back, it has been a time of recovery in the most pleasant environment. The staff is kind, jet professional, you are taken care of no matter what you situation might be. I made new friends, played cards, joint watercolor class, just to name a few. Now I go back twice a week for tai chi and meditation classes that I teach and one day I will be back for good not afraid, thence it is not a place for old people ☘

Cascades is home for my Mother-in-law and I love that the very first week, every staff person called her by name and greeted her warmly. It is a caring community and residents gather for chatting and coffee in the lobby and they spoke to us like neighbors. It doesnt feel institutional. I always get my phone calls returned and really appreciate it.My mother-in-law has a mountain view apartment and it is truly spectacular!
