The staff is wonderful with my (88 yr old) mom. From Jackie to Caralee and new director Cherie all the way through the staff, they genuinely care and are very quick to address any concerns. I feel like they go above and beyond to keep an eye on my mom, checking on her throughout the day, making sure she’s heading down for breakfast lunch or dinner, as well as activities she may be missing. This facility is easy for my mom to navigate, which was a concern bc she is still somewhat reliant on her walker. If she stays walking long enough in the hallway, she’ll make it back to her apartment-ha no elevators, or twisting hallways to help her lose her way. I was very concerned about putting my mom in an assisted living facility, and after looking at others, I’m very glad I chose Trustwell. My mom was not excited about going into assisted , but after a couple months, this feels like home to her. In the end , that’s about all I can ask for.. thank you Trustwell for taking care of my mom. We met Wendy Alfrey, while looking for respite care, for my wife's mother, who could not be left alone while we travelled, even for a few days. We arranged for a two week stay, followed by another two week stay a month later. Christa loved the facility. She immediately made friends with residents and spoke highly of the staff. As things progressed we began talking with Wendy and Christa about the possibility of Christa becoming a resident. Initially, it was a hard conversation to have with a loved one. Wendy gave us a perspective that rang true for both Christa and us. Christa decided to move into Kingswood Place on a permanent basis. She lived there for almost a year and received outstanding care and attention. All of the staff interacted with her often. She enjoyed their attention and she felt they were not caregivers, but friends. Paula was always a smiling face when we visited. The nursing staff led by Deiatra were always pleasant and caring. Sadly she passed recently. The outpouring of real emotion from the staff was overwhelming. When we talked to them, their emotional connection with her was obvious. It brought tears to our eyes. Her quality of life went from interacting with two people a day to interacting with an entire community. We do not hesitate in recommending Kingswood Place and the great people who dedicate their lives to caring for our loved ones.

I have been here 2 years and at first I was very apprehensive. However I realized very soon just how friendly, understanding, and caring everyone is at Kingswood. The caregivers make you feel at ease and always listen when you have a problem or need. The management team us always there to assist with anything that is needed as well. The people are so caring and took such good care of my mom. The place is so inviting with the fireplace and seating area as soon as you come in, love that it is single level no stairs. They have two beutiful courtyards and it feels like you can get some fresh air but still be safe inside the facility. The staff is the best, my mom was very happy there and the dinning room is very nice and cant say it enogh, the people working there are the biggest reason my mom and i love this place so much. Thank you to all of you who took care of my mom, am forever grateful.

This is a wonderful community tucked away from the main streets of the hustle and bustle of Surprise. The community is secured, visitors must be buzzed through making it safe and secure for its residents. They have both assisted living and memory care, and the halls are wide and can very easily accommodate power wheelchairs, two side by side if any one wants to race, lol. This is a fun community, and much of that spirit is because of their marketing director, Stephanie. She has been in the senior care industry for close to 20 years and I’ve witnessed over and over again how much she interacts with, and truly loves, her residents.

I would Highly recommend this AL community. I have brought families to this community because of many reasons! The staff provides outstanding care with the residents. The ED and DON is very involved with the residents and families! The staff makes everyone feel like a family. They provide Activies for the residents and great meals. Small but mighty AL and will continue to send families to tour this fantastic community! Go take a look!

A client was originally in need of a respite facility after a fall and did not feel comfortable living alone any longer. She was given a couple of options and chose Kingswood Place. After approximately a month stay, she decided to sell her home of 30+ years and move in permanently to Kingswood Place. The staff are friendly and caring, and she never had a complaint about Chester's cooking. I am always nervous about placing a client in a facility without having any first-hand knowledge regarding the staff, maintenance of the facility, nursing care, food, etc. I would certainly recommend Kingswood Place to anyone in need of placing their dearest loved ones in an assisted living facility. With a low turnover staff, their caring team will take great pride in looking out for those individuals you care most about.

I LOVE Kingswood Place. my dad has been living here for over a year now and the support and kindness of EVERYONE here has been such a blessing. The chef is amazing and is super fun to be around. He cares and it shows. (I eat with my dad regularly and the food is awesome!) The nurses are wonderful, they have made my dad feel he is at home and cared about. The administrators have taken the time to help me work through my guilt of having to have my dad in assisted living. I really appreciate all they have done. The activity director is amazing. She has a hard job, but she is always happy, and the residents love her. I looked for a long time before I decided to move dad to Kingswood Place. It's a smaller facility but not too small. My dad has friends here and I feel good knowing he is safe and cared for.

My parents were separated for several months due to my mom’s need for care that couldn’t be managed at their home so it was important to find a place that they could be together that was small and offered levels of care that accommodated both their needs. My dad built elder living facilities and was very pleased with the layout and services Kingswood Place offered. The staff was very attentive to my mom’s needs even at the end of her life. They kept up with my dad’s teasing and joking around. Many times the staff stopped by just to visit and tell stories. They became family to my parents and to us when we visited. Mom and Dad got to be together for 7 months before she passed which was a gift we cherished. Dad has since moved back to their home. The decision to move to assisted living isn’t simple but Kingwood Place made it easier.

We chose Kingswood Place for my mother to spend 2 weeks of respite care while we were out of state. We toured the facility and met with the administration and staff. It was not a large facility so it appealed to us as a place my mother would feel comfortable at. We went back with my mother who let us know she liked the facility and would like to stay there. We moved her in and stayed in contact with her during the 2 weeks. Everyday we talked to her she was telling us about the different activities she was doing with the new people she met. She especially liked having ice cream after dinner. The facility is well maintained and very clean. The administrators and staff are very friendly and accommodating. We feel very comfortable entrusting them with my mother. She will be going back for another 2 week vacation from us.

Moving our aunt to the facility was a perfect solution for all of us. We are out of state and she being in Arizona was interesting. Exec. Dir. Wendy and staff made it incredibly easy and effortless. She had such a welcoming spirit and answered all of our questions. Very pleased with the top-notch facility with many amenities and kind staff. Finally, the apartment is lovely and homey. Auntie is settled and happy!

I admit to only being here 2 weeks. However, the staff has done everything to make my move smooth and enjoyable. I was introduced to people that have similar interests so we have great discussions at meal times. There's lots of activities that you can join. And the place is very clean.

The scariest decision of my life, so far, was finding a suitable alternative home for my Dad after it was determined that he could no longer live on his own. I am out of state, and trying to coordinate all of his future care and living long distance was tough. The Kingswood Place management team and staff helped us so much and made us feel so comfortable. I can't thank them enough for treating my Dad, like their Dad!
