The Gardens of Scottsdale – Reviews
April 2022
In general, I feel the managers and caregivers are very hard working and had much compassion for my mother's stay there as well as the many other residents. Because of the pandemic and other factors involving my mother's diminishing health, the caregivers were not able to spend as much time with her as I would have liked or hoped for, but it was understandable due to the conditions. In conclusion, The Gardens staff tries their best to make the residents feel safe and at home there.

We have been extremely pleased with all the services and care that has been given to our family member at The Gardens. They have treated her with the upmost respect and professional care. They truly treat the residents like family. The staff is very receptive to any of our concerns are are always readily available. They have made the transition for our family member into Assisted Living as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are very grateful for The Gardens.

A professional community that truly cares about their residents and staff. I have had the privilege of working with the clinical team and would have no questions moving my loved one here.

My mom was at Bridge to Rediscovery (memory care) since 2018 until last night when she passed on. She received caring, tender, and compassionate care. The team. Is professional, but more than that, they became our family of choice, I am deeply grateful for all they did for my mom. In gratitude, Arjelia Gomez

The facilities may not be luxurious and brand new but they are charming, comfortable and appeal to the age group of the residents. More importantly, The Gardens has a competent and caring staff that provide a level of care beyond expectations. They are truly dedicated to the residents and treat them as family. This has been especially true for my mother who needed much more care-assistance than we anticipated. Their level of care has allowed my wife and I to sleep at night knowing that my mother was safe and well cared for. I couldnt ask for more.

My dad has been staying here for about 8 months and weve had a very good experience overall. The staff have been very supportive and helpful, and there has been regular communications to family members. There were initially a few glitches around transferring medications, but it was worked out. The nurse and others respond quickly to email or calls, which is really helpful.

Mom has recently moved into The Gardens and seems to be settling in much better than we anticipated. Leslie, Debbie and Julia at the front desk have been exceptionally great with Dad getting a process set up for him to easily do a window visit with Mom. They have been extremely responsive. Communication with the nurses, Sheree and Louise, has been great as well with quick responses to our questions. Thank you to Darion for all of his help in getting Mom set up at The Gardens. His extraordinary attentiveness to our mulitude of questions helped us find a great place for Mom to live. Thank you all!

My husband, Steve, fell and crushed bones in his ankle and was gone from home for 45 days. Mercifully and thankfully the last 38 days were spent in the loving, skillful, healing hands of the professionals at The Gardens of Scottsdale. Gaye, with her lovely English demeanor, opened the doors for Steve and he landed in what seemed like a 5 star hotel room, (with a menu to match) in their beautiful 16-bed Rehab to Home wing with a spacious gym and a staff of physical therapists who would over time, bring Steve from NO weight bearing to 100% weight bearing and pave the road to home. But the surroundings and excellent meals did not overshadow the wonderful care Steve received. We were hopeful that their past positive reviews of patient care would hold true and that Steve would receive the attention he needed 24 hours a day.... Enter skilled nursings Neil, Jessie, May, the Director Gayle, Colleen, Kathryn, Tina, Charlie, Tensia, Jennifer, Ellen, Jody, Christina, Louisa, Diane - they were there every day in every way. And the Gardens faithful Dr. Mathew who stopped in multiple times a week. But the honors must go to Steves skillful therapists Lana, Kayla, Trisha and Kim. These ladies brought Steve back to his feet and back to his life. Lana focused the power of her full understanding of Steves many challenges to lead his recovery. She was his enthusiastic cheerleader, her faith in him was constant. There were many tears when we left. It truly was like leaving our family - leaving home to come home. Thank God for the Gardens of Scottsdale and all the wonderful, skillful, caring people who got Steves through his bad patch onto the hopeful road to a happy ending.

I have worked closely with Lindsay Ishak and I find her to be very professional and personable. She conducted an excellent tour of the facility and had wonderful relationships with the residents. She has done an informative presentation for our senior group and did an excellent job. It was very well received. I highly recommend this facility.

My Mother in Law was admitted for rehabilitation, and I was very impressed with the rooms, very large, and comfortable even for guests. I visited daily for most of the day, and I was very comfortable ??! Mom, had her own bathroom, recliner, dining table. The aides were pretty prompt in getting to the room when she required their help and extremely helpful and kind. The Physical Therapists were wonderful. As were everyone else we encountered. Food was prompt, and again the ladies were wonderful! I guess that the only less than item I can say is, there werent enough vegetarian or semi vegetarian choices offered. But they were open to ideas on putting together food, that were already offered such as sides to be incorporated into a meal. And if there werent, I brought food from home. Thank you ALL, for the kindness and support!!!!

I am the Director of Business Development for a home care agency and frequently visit the Gardens of Scottsdale. Every time I walk in there I am greeted by friendly staff who are helpful and knowledgeable. I interact with residents who are smiling, happy and seem very well cared for. I watch nurses and CNAs go to great lengths to care for the residents, and I would feel confident in my decision if I had to move a loved one into The Gardens of Scottsdale!

My father moved into the Gardens earlier this year and he and the rest of our family could not be happier. The level of service is outstanding and the personal touch is unmatched. He enjoys the activities provided there and the food is exceptional. Lindsay Ishak has been amazing making him feel welcome and has gone above and beyond helping with the transition. I cannot recommend The Gardens more highly.

The entire staff is very professional and caring, Therapy does an excellent job to develop a program just for you and they are very encouraging. The nurses and the support staff are friendly, supportive and provide the best care you could possibly ask for. Food service and staff is excellent and food is as good as any upscale restaurant. Bottom line this is an excellent facility.

I have been at The Gardens of Scottsdale following total knee replacement for almost a month and will be leaving early next week. Home is always where you want to be and yet I will be leaving with mixed feelings. I am 78 years old and can honestly say I have NEVER received such outstanding care - EVER. The PT and OT staff have demonstrated their skill and professionalism over and over, but also, important to me - they CARE! The food has been great - you have alternate menus to choose from if either of your daily choices are not pleasing to you. The RNs, and Aids, are all friendly, helpful, professional and, that word again - they CARE. The physical structure is beyond lovely. The building surrounds a beautiful park-like setting - the Patio - that is there to be enjoyed all the time - I've even had some PT out there. What otherwise might have been an ordeal has turned out to be one of the best experiences I have encountered. I am so grateful that it was suggested I come here . . . one of my best decisions. We never want surgeries or situations that require rehab, but even though I live quite a distance from here, I would insist that I return to The Gardens! Thank you for the outstanding care and rehab that I have received.

My family and I have been looking for a community for my grandfather. After touring several facilities we felt The Gardens of Scottsdale stood out because the community looked well kept, and the residents we visited with seemed very happy. We are not ready to make this move for my grandfather just yet, but when the time arises this will be our first choice. Thank you for all the thorough information and the wonderful tour, Lindsay!
October 2018
I stopped by for a quick tour on a Saturday afternoon. Darion gave me a thorough tour and answered all of my questions. When the time comes for my loved one, this is where I will choose.

My partner and I are researching the various possibilities in Scottsdale for senior living options. The Gardens are beautifully maintained and perfectly located for our family, near medical facilities and close to several favorite restaurants and shops. The staff is professional, friendly and competent making the choice to place a loved one in their hands reassuring. Thank you, Lindsay, for your time and patience with our family. You made us comfortable and we left feeling better about a difficult decision that we will have to make.

Their staff is amazing and I look forward to working with them in the future!

I was so pleased how well the staff in the assisted living section of The Gardens assisted my father during his short time he was there until his passing. The staff was dedicated in my fathers care and making sure he was comfortable. I would highly recommend The Gardens of Scottsdale for your loved one.

Our mom was at The Gardens for rehab after a fall in her home. I cannot express enough our gratitude to all the staff for the kindness, professionalism, attention to detail and the compassion that they displayed. Her rehabilitation team went above and beyond to ensure she was ready to be released and that we were comfortable with her level of mobility. We were given direction to help her progress further and regain her confidence. Every team (case worker, activity, nursing, rehab, kitchen and cleaning) made her stay comfortable and put us at ease. Thank you so much for your willingness to share your gifts.

I recently toured the Gardens of Scottsdale for my father. The rooms, grounds and the community as a whole was extremely clean and very well cared for. The staff we came in contact with were kind, courteous and very professional. A very nice tour experience!
October 2017
I was able to tour the new Rehab To Home unit. Its really beautiful and the gym has everything a rehab patient could need. It has that Pinterest feel and the staff are really kind. I also like that they have Assisted Living and Memory Care as well. This place truly can allow someone to age in place with the people they are already familiar with. Its like dorms for adults so much fun going on and all your neighbors are dealing with the same issues you are. What a great way to retire.
September 2017
The staff is awesome and caring!

Caring
My mother has been living at the Gardens for 5 years this month. She is currently living in assisted living and the care she receives is even beyond the expectations that I had when she moved in 5 years ago. I can't say enough about the caring staff - including the care providers, nurses, and med. techs. She broke her hip a couple of years ago and the skilled nursing staff and occupational and physical therapists helped her get back on her feet quickly. She has many, many social opportunities. Great live music, really delicious food. She has made some great friends.
May 2017
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Gardens is very clean, has excellent food, and takes pride in the care of their residents.

Caring
The Gardens of Scottsdale was OK. I saw a one-bedroom apartment that was nice and the size was adequate for what Mom needed. They had an activity room, the dining area was nice, and the staff seemed to be nice. However, parking was limited, so we had to drive aroud a couple of times before we were able to find a parking space.

Caring
The Gardens of Scottsdale is just beautiful. They gave us lunch, and it was good. If I had to pick any place to go, Id pick the Gardens easily. Its 100 percent assisted living, and they have 3 different levels of rooms that you can take. They have one that was $2,500 a month, and then it goes up from there. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the rooms are really nice. Theyre all like one big room, but theyve put up walls to give it an appearance of 2 rooms instead of one. If I had to choose anything, Id go to the Gardens. Their dining area is beautiful and huge. It is just the best one Ive seen.

I think The Gardens of Scottsdale is a five-star. I liked it. They had things that are different like a dining room where they had waitresses that wait on you. They had washers and dryers in every unit. They have a lot of things. They even have church services, and confessions for Catholics.

Caring
The Gardens of Scottsdale was very nice. It was very clean. They were very friendly; however, the gentleman I was supposed to meet with called in sick that day and nobody called to reschedule with me. They were very apologetic when I was there, but I really didnt see much of the facility. However, the people seemed friendly and were very apologetic from the misunderstanding.

Caring
Our experience with The Gardens of Scottsdale was very good. The only issues I had were that it was not in our range as far as being able to take care of our needs. However, they were very nice and very detailed, and I liked the facility a great deal. It was excellent. I did look at the rooms and everything, and it seemed to be very well run.

The gal that I dealt with at the Gardens of Scottsdale showed me a couple of suites or spaces that might be available for my mother. It seemed like they had plenty of activities to do for her, and it gave me every bit of confidence that they would give the care that my mother needed to possibly get her a little stronger. These people were very kind and considerate, as well. From what I remember, the food was quite delicious.

The one I picked out for my mom is The Gardens of Scottsdale. It is nice and close to my home, and the people that work there are very caring and nice. The rooms and the dining room are very nice. My mom loves the food there. She was very resistant about going, but now she loves it. She has been there for five weeks now, and she is very happy there. She loves the people that work there. They were also really helpful to me.

The Gardens was fabulous. Everything was wonderful. The rooms were very nice, the food was wonderful, and the people were great. My mother was very happy with it. They do crafts, have a music festival, hold movie nights, and do other activities. The food was the best of all the places we visited.
