I can't say enough good things about Vista del Rio. The staff here is second to none! My mother, who just turned 100 years old, moved here a little over 2 1/2 years ago and since then has never been happier or more engaged in life. She absolutely LOVES the staff, as do all of our family members. They are genuinely caring, loving, attentive, and go WAY beyond the call of duty to make the residents feel safe, looked after and even entertained. Residents have been kept safe from COVID outbreaks, and during staff shortages, the entire senior management staff is right there doing what needs to be done, even menial sounding (yet essential) stuff, like serving food to the residents at mealtimes, cleaning up, and more -- all with smiles and positive energy. The managing director, Daryl, I am convinced is literally a saint! And the other members of senior staff, including Maggie, activities director Penny, and really ALL of the employees there, are absolutely fantastic people. My Mom celebrated her 100th birthday there a week ago, and Daryl, Maggie, Penny, Brittany and other management members organized a surprise party, complete with a balloon filled atrium, live music, and the most beautiful sheet cake I have ever seen, to be shared with all of the residents at the end of their lunch. Everyone sang Happy Birthday and my Mom (and our entire family) was moved to tears by the generosity of spirit and genuine loving care evident in all of the staff. Even the dining room helpers, Stephanie and others, made my Mom feel like she was the most special person in the world. The previous Activities Director, Bruce, who had become one of my Mom's best friends there, before retiring a few months ago, made a return visit to Vista del Rio, just to be part of the birthday surprise for my Mom. If it were possible to give this group of exceptional human beings more than 5 stars, I would definitely do it immediately. This is no ordinary management or staff. They are what any and every retirement community or assisted living facility can only dream of having as their representatives. Absolutely the BEST, and we are forever grateful for their classy, respectful and genuinely loving ways of being. A HUGE THANK YOU!!! to all of the wonderful folks that make Vista del Rio a wonderful place to live. XOXO

I moved in Nov 2023 and I love it here. Everything from the staff to the food is excellent. I especially like Pennie the activity director So great with the residents and very creative. Fun outings and always decorating for special events. Housekeeping and care team is also so sweet. Valez is my favorite whenever I need help or just someone to talk to. I'm happy I found a safe, clean, and affordable place to live.

I'd say this place needs a MAJOR UPGRADE. Seriously. It looks very neat on the outside but on the inside is a different story. For the price you're paying, it's most def not worth it. It needs updated furniture, better elevator, better bathrooms, MORE PARKING FOR VISITORS OF THE RESIDENTS! Better door coming into the building. Just a whole renovation within the building. I'd say look somewhere else. You'll thank me.

Mother has been living here for a year and is very happy. The staff are wonderful. Darrel, the Director, keeps everything running smoothly. The kitchen staff and housekeepers are efficient and provide great service and good food. Bruce, the Activities Director, provides numerous fun activities for residents and their visitors. They all love him. The office staff are always helpful and kind. Robert and Nyree help residents as needed with assistance. The maintenance man is Johnny on the spot. No complaints. Vista del Rio is both a community and a family. Happiness abounds. So pleased for Mother, as she has found her happy place and is very much at home.

I have Family living here and she's been happier with the accommodations. She's still appreciative of the 3 meals served in the dining areas, activities and shuttle available. The staff and managers she has been fond of for some time. The new owners have recently allowed more pets per unit and on floors they didn't before. So now the exposure to barking dogs or wandering cats may increase, as well as soiled carpets if a resident can't get their dog downstairs and outside in time.Toss in taking away the ability to have a few personal decorations in the hall way and the annual rent increase...

My father-in-law has been a resident of Vista Del Rio for a little more than 5 years. The care and concern that management and staff show towards their residents is outstanding. While COVID required flexibility and forced many changes, the management and staff have consistently gone above and beyond to keep residents safe while also taking great strides to meet their social needs. Efforts to keep lines of communications open have been commendable. Again, the management and staff do an amazing job attending to the residents and accommodating their individual personalities.Our family is very happy that, together with my father-in-law, we selected Vista Del Rio when we did. While our Dad gets out and around, Vista is his home and his community.

The staff here is amazing. They take great care with their residents, I never have to worry about my mom. The apartments are nice, and my mom loves the activities. Everyone there goes above and beyond! The only complaint I hear is the food could be a bit better.... 🙂

I have been here for six weeks and haven't found a reason yet to be sorry about the move here. Easter weekend we had cookie decorating, special entertainment, an Easter egg hunt (eggs with candy in them!) and family was invited for Sunday lunch. This was to just name a few activities for that weekend. The staff treats us like family and is willing to help with anything. Transportation is awesome! They will take us anywhere within 10 miles. And we get three meals a day with great servers' and housekeeping weekly. I don't think you can beat this place.

I moved in mid September and couldn't be happier with my decision. This is independent senior living at its finest! The staff is wonderful and treat everyone like family. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. The heated pool, 3 meals a day, maid service once a week, arts and crafts, special guests to entertain the residents, pool table and horseshoes, work out room, library and a movie area...and it's all inclusive with the amenities. The shuttle is avail for dr appts and trips to frys and Walmart with outings to the casino to get you out and about. I'm glad I made the decision to move to Vista Del Rio! It's awesome!

Amazing staff, warm and friendly, all inclusive place! I was blown away at all they include for one price! They go out of their way for the residents and they have gone above and beyond to keep them safe during this crazy pandemic situation!Hand-delivered, chef prepared meals to each door three times a day, cleaning services, linen services and so much more?!?The whole place looks like the inside of a cruise ship and they really do honor the veterans, posting their pictures on the wall near the entrance.

They have all sorts of activities for all different types of situations and preferences. What they offer for the money seems pretty hard to beat. I would fersure check this place out...

My Grandmother resides here. 3 meals a day, medical staff, laundry on all three floors both wings, pool...it is paradise for her. If you have a loved one and want them secure and taken care of, this is it.

I was actually an employee here for nearly 5 years. Drove the bus, took the residents on outing, Dr appointments, shopping and church... Also did water aerobics helped in the kitchen and office when needed. Working there was hands down the best job I ever had. It never once felt like work. It felt like I was taking care of my Grandparents. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont miss it. We moved to North Carolina and if there was a way I could have commuted I would have!!!! It was one of the hardest things I had to do when I said goodbye.I miss my residence and still talk with several of them!

My husbands aunt is very satisfied with the accommodations there. We threw her a 93rd birthday party and the staff was great. Very pretty public areas and the residents are very pleasant.
