I wanted to take a few minutes to share my wonderful experience, and encourage others who read this review, that I understand how important it is when you are out searching for Assisted Facility. My sister needed full time care, was already in a hospice setting, I had 4 to 6 facility to check out in one day and (The mission at auga fria) was my first one of the day, didnt know what to expect or what questions to ask, I Immediately meant Melissa the coordinator she had a welcoming smile and a kind voice from the beginning she right away made me feel comfortable, We did our tour and i told her right from the beginning I had several places to go that day and I would get back to her in a few days, my gut feeling was already telling me that it was the place. Always go with your gut , I was back at (The mission at auga fria) Melissa with with her big smile and comforting voice and moved my sister in within 7 days the process was seamless and easy . Unfortunately, my sister was only there for 30 days before passing, but in those 30 days the staff and everyone who participated in her care was outstanding and very happy with the overall experience. This was a very overwhelming experience when a love one need this kind of care, and you want to be able to trust and count on the facility to provide the services you are paying for, I feel all of those requirement were meant and fulfilled! THANK YOU to all the staff/medical team for the excellent care you provided! And to Melissa a special THANK YOU for all of your kindness and your smile every time we spoke! June/July 2024

I've been working at The Mission for over a year now and I love it here. I love the management here, and the staff. My grandma was a MC resident and I couldn't have asked for a better team to look after her. If you're having a hard time looking for an Assisted Living/ Memory Care facility, look no further. I would recommend all of your loved ones to be apart of The Mission Family. Big shoutout to Taryn, Sylvia, Melissa, Rey, and Anthony. Thank you for making the last 8 months of my grandma's life memorable. My family and I are forever grateful for you all.

It is difficult to take on an elderly relation dealing with a laundry list of mental and health issues. Our family became very aware that we were not equipped for the 24/7 care our parent now needed. We work, have kids, have grandchildren, and some ready to retire. There were sleepless nights and worries of falls or wandering and getting lost. We toured many facilities and also had more help through All About You, touring with us, doing state certification checks and answering pertinent questions. Everyone at Mission at Agua Fria were always available and able to help lower our anxiety through his transition period. We know our father is safe, warm, nourished and watched. We appreciate all of the staff, all of them wear capes.

I work in dietary at The Mission, and everyday residents tell me how much better the food is than any other place they have been at. We take in resident suggestions and implement them into new specials that are changed every day. We as the dietary department offer a 5-star dining service with amazing servers who go above and beyond to provide excellent service. We take the time to talk and get to know the residents personally and keep up with their lives. We have great turn outs for our events such as dance parties, happy hours, live chef demos and socials that the residents can't wait to join to enjoy. At these events we serve amazing, themed foods such as a wide variety of snacks and drinks. The Mission really takes care of their residents and goes above and beyond to accommodate and cater to those who need extra assistance. The kitchen staff and the activities department keep everyone happy and always have something new and yummy to enjoy every day.

As an experienced Hospice Liaison, for over 9 years, I have had the Honor to work with a number of different Communities. From Assisted living, and Memory Care communities, to Skilled nursing facilities and Hospitals. I cherish my relationship and our partnership with Missions at Agua Fria, and the staff. I respect the Executive Director Taryn, and how she empowers her Team. As. Hospice Liaison and a human, I would highly recommend Taryn, Her staff, and Missions at Agua Fria To anyone, or any family who may need that next step in care. Live working with all of you. Toney

I have lived at another facility before this and this is a much better place. The executive director Taryn as well as all the.other front office staff are really easy to talk to. Amanda the activity director is awesome. The food options are excellent I have made many friends. The med techs do their absolute best at being on time as well as the caregivers. The business office manager Sylvia does my hair when she is here and does a really good job at braiding as well as Kathi the activity assistant. I really feel like I have a second family

My mother lives at the mission. She is happy and well taken care of. The staff are very caring and nice, especially Pearl at front desk. She is so friendly and asks about my mom, my wife and me each time we see her. We're glad we found this place for her.

Nice clean place, friendly staff. My Friend lives here for two years, she likes it. I am amazed by the exceptional care given by med-tech Kelley, When a prescription expired she went above and beyond to get the problem sorted out with the MD, pharmacy and insurance. Crew is always helpful.

I am a past resident of the mission and wish I was still there! I got sicker and it ticked off a caregiver because she actual had to work! For the most part staff is very caring. You become a true extended family residents look out for each other. The activity department was awesome! Amanda and Kathi go above and beyond! There's happy hour every Friday with the memory care residents. Live music snacks and sodas! It's so happy you can't help but have a great time! Administration is good. I wish the director wasn't so busy and could be talked to with problems and not passing off to the rcc. The rcc isn't consistent one minute she's helpful the next she's scoulding you for complaining! The food was good the theater was fun to watch movies on the super big screen recliner chairs popcorn provided. You should give the mission a try for yourself or your loved ones!!!

I'm going to this place and I'm so excited
August 2021
My parents moved into the Mission on Oct 1. They had a wonderful first month...IIwould have given a 5 star rating for that month. Absolutely everything was wonderful...the staff was so friendly, the food outstanding, and the care given to my parents was fantastic. However, over the past few weeks, a new management company and new director has taken over and changed a lot of things without considering the needs of its residents first. The meals are now limited and a lot of staff that was very good at what they did have quit. Staff and residents are not as happy as they were before. I am waiting to see if the Mission can rebound from these " growing pains" or if I am going to have to look for a new place for my parents, and hope that will not be the case. An update....It is now 2 years later. The Mission has changed management several times already in it's short 3 year life. With each management change, the service to residents has gotten worse. My mom had her medication stolen by staff twice and fell twice and had to wait over 45 minutes for assistance. There are hardly any activities going on for residents. They got rid of their activities director before Covid and still do not have one. There are only a couple of staff left that really care about the residents. Most of the good ones have quit. I am done with this place and will move my mom elsewhere.
