My husband's parents very recently moved to Silver Springs for stepped-up supportive care, from a nearby independent senior living condo facility. What a beautiful environment Silver Springs offers! Mom and Dad have a spacious, sunny apartment, with its own little patio and lovely landscaped views from every window. Views in three directions and scenic murals on the high ceiling make dining in the dining room a restaurant experience at every meal. We ate breakfasts and dinners with Dad and Mom: delicious! Each menu offers chef specials as well as regular daily selections. Our meals were attractive to the eye, flavorful, offering widely varied foods and were so nutritious! Unsung heroes are the staff! We experienced laughter and smiles, personal relationships already formed with Mom and Dad, witnessed help with meds to assistance with mobility, dressing etc. Administrative staff are very much out and around -- in the halls, dining room, at activities -- NOT sequestered in an ivory tower. BIGGEST EVENT - Dad and Mom celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on June 17th with a drop-in party at the Cactus Room at Silver Springs. The chef and sous chef created a lovely buffet of hors d'oeuvres; staff served sparkling juice for the toast and slices of "the best chocolate cake we've ever had" to guests. Planning such a party from out-of-state could be tricky but many thanks go to Executive Director Cathy Dabney, Zest Director Stacy Riley and Director of Sales Danielle Burleson with start-up planning help from Mark Noriega. As Dad said over and over: "It wasn't a great party: it was AWESOME!!"

My mother moved into Silver Springs two and a half years ago and it really gave her a new lease on life. She had been lonely after my dad passed and really needed to be around people. She could not have found a more perfect place. The residents and staff welcomed her and loved her. She has been so happy and made many wonderful friends. It's a lovely facility and the food is really good. Now if you eat at the best restuarant in town three times a day for years It's going to get old. But they would make her an egg salad sandwhich with cut strawberries just the way she asked! I can't say enough good things about the staff. From the front desk, to the dining room, the care givers, nursing staff and maintenance staff, they all took care of her and made her feel loved. We are so grateful to them and grateful that we got to be friends with them too!! Thank You!!!

Apartments are too small and too expensive. For the price utilities, internet and cable should be included. Two meals a day is nice, perhaps if there weren’t so many choices the price could be adjusted. Staff was all vey nice and the few residents e spoke to were happy there. I guess we’re just not ready yet.

This event on Saturday was nicely organized and enjoyed the variety of staging areas to inform and entertain we visitors. One resident went out of her way to show us her lovely unit and back patio was exceptionally attractive. I really like how units all have an outdoor space and hallways wide, very sunny and give a very stylish look as well as your common areas and patio spaces. Your food options are great and especially good dining by your great Chef!

There could not be a more accommodating staff than Silver Springs. Certainly one of the most appealing services offered are the meals, and they are always delicious, nutritious, and varied. The large building is beautiful, extremely well maintained, and accessible, as are the grounds. Activates and high quality entertainment are also provided. Participation is always voluntary with no pressure to participate. On a slightly more negative side, bathrooms are very small and not very conveniently arranged. There is no counter space, only pedestal sinks with very little elbow room around them. My own experience with two people in a one bedroom, one bath apartment requires a significant adjustment which I have not yet been able to make. In general, if the bathrooms were more convenient and slightly more spacious, Silver Springs would be almost ideal.

Like many of the other facilities we have viewed, we were happy with the features offered by Silver Springs. One problem for us, however, we now own an electric vehicle and need to keep the battery charged. In our present location we have a 240 VAC outlet from which we can connect a cord to charge the vehicle battery. Silver Springs has parking for resident's vehicles, but no way to charge the vehicle battery while the vehicle is parked in one of them. This means we would need to find a vehicle charging station and sit around for several hours while our vehicle's battery gets charged. Without this shortcoming, we think we could be happy at Silver Springs. But we will continue our search and hope we can find a facility which will better accommodate those of us who own electric cars.

When necessity required that I embrace an entirely new lifestyle, I researched Senior Living Facilities My guardian angel directed me to The Silver Springs in Green Valley. It was the ONLY place I visited that produced an instant positive emotional reaction. The resident population consists of an amazing group of interesting and successful people. The facilities and staff extraordinary. Recreational and intellectual activities have something for everyone. Many levels of care giver and medical monitoring support are available, most of which I have used at various times. After nearly three years of residency, my biggest regret is that I did not join the springs community sooner than I did.

Live 2 blocks from Silver Springs and have been for 25 years. Watched it being built. Have had association over the years with people who work there and with residents, some I have recommended. The staff is courteous, loving, and attentive. Food is very good and the hours served are very accommodating. If and when I have a need, Silver Springs will be my choice as it will be for my wife. I know both of us would be comfortable there.

Everyone on the staff is professional , personable, and helpful. The facility is very nice and very well maintained . The meals served in the dining room are good with a large variety of options for each meal. Recently we lost my dad. Silver Springs and hospice made my dad’s final days more comfortable. My mom has adapted to her new life very well thanks to the care of staff at Silver Springs and other residents. Plenty of activities, bingo , movies and much more , to keep her busy and engaged in life.

My mother, Eileen Reed, was a resident at Silver Springs for four years until she passed away. The management and staff at Silver Springs are top-notch. They are professional, but also incredibly kind and caring. During my moms four years at Silver Springs, the staff and residents became an extension of family to her. Living out of state, it can be nerve-racking to have an elderly parent so far away, but they kept me informed any time there was a problem (i.e. if my mother had an accident or illness), and always friendly and receptive to me calling and checking in. I was able to come and be with my mom for an entire month before during and after she passed away, and I felt truly loved and supported by each and every one of the staff members and residents. Silver Springs is truly a very special place and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a homelike independent/assisted-living setting.

My mother lived at Silver Springs and her life was FULL. You really do not need to look anywhere else. They have a wellness program focused on "mind, body & soul" and every day my mother lived there she was fulfilled. She laughed, danced, played, made friends, ate amazing food and was truly loved. The management and care staff are exceptional. The dining staff knows everyone's names and what they like to order! The building is bright and wide open. The grounds are beautiful and lush. However, the best thing about Silver Springs is the people that live there and their welcoming and supportive nature!

My parents moved into Silver Springs in April and they love it. I have visited them here often and the staff is wonderful. They all know my parents by name and are always smiling with them. The level of care is of a high standard. The setting is beautiful with trees, plants, and flowers and of course the mountains in the background. Also, Cynthia, one of the directors, worked with my family for months while they were making their decision and subsequent move and she went above and beyond her job description. They have live music, many great activities, nice food, art everywhere. The other residents are super friendly and my parents have made many close friends. I would easily recommend this facility to those who are considering downsizing a bit.

We took our 95 year old father and were blown away by the well kept appearance, apartments, and Cynthia Valencia, the Director of Sales personal involvement with out visit. I have talked to friends who are residents and they all said the #1 highlight of SS is the staff. With 2 meals per day, a beautiful courtyard, views of the mountains and golf course, and the friendly people, my father decided to move in. I highly recommend taking a tour and discover Silver Springs.

My 95-year-old stepfather was supported with incredible affection, tenderness, and concern by the staff at Silver Springs during the last months he spent there as his health and strength were failing. This is the part no one likes to think about when choosing an assisted-living environment, but nothing could be a clearer expression of mission-based thinking than staff response when someone's "quality of life" goals move from keeping active and engaged to simply trying to exit a good and generous lifespan with minimal anxiety and discomfort. My brother and I were in our dad's apartment with him for the last 48 hours of his life, so we saw staff response during various stressful scenarios and at all times of the day and night. He was always treated with the greatest respect and dignity. Our questions, concerns and fears received immediate attention and coordination with the hospice team was attentive and immediate. There are so many people to whom our family is grateful, beginning with Executive Director Cathy Dabney, who leads with her heart, genuinely cares about each resident in her care, and makes herself incredibly accessible to family members. Leadership dictates attitudes and intentions in any organization; Cathy sets a high bar for herself and her example to others on her team creates a consistently cheerful and hardworking but loving environment. Cynthia Valencia, as Director of Sales Marketing, was our family's first contact at Silver Springs and immediately endeared herself to us by patiently answering our many questions and sharing enough of her own life experience with elderly parents to help us know that she truly understood our needs and concerns. Every person we met from the hospitality and caregiving teams at Silver Springs were friendly, positive, polite, and eager to please. Our dad loved Helena, who manages the dining room and always made a point of stopping to speak with him and make sure his needs and preferences were being honored. As head of the medical team, Prissilla was generous with her time, information and patience, and -- like Cathy and Cynthia -- very responsive to questions from family members. When our dad needed higher levels of care at the end, he counted on Patricia as both "my angel" and "my boss." He appreciated her warmth and sense of humor as well as her "take charge-y" manner, which he knew he needed at that point. (I was grateful when she took a jar of soup I'd made for my dad to the kitchen so it could be blended to meet his liquids-only diet.) I remember greeting so many others in a bleary, sleep-deprived state that last two days and nights: Serena, Daisy, Marisela, Marlyce ... and others whose names I have forgotten but whose faces, empathy and kindnesses are etched into my mind forever. They always greeted our dad with warmth, gentle humor and genuine concern for his comfort. I came to love them all in those intense last hours. And I don't want to forget the helpful front reception team -- including Fran and Blanca -- who alway proved a wealth of information and kind support. On my final day at Silver Springs, which was the day of our dad's Celebration of Life, I felt a bittersweet sense of gratitude and loss for this place and its people, including some of the other residents I had come to know during the almost two years our dad lived there. Silver Springs strives to be a community, not just a residence. I will miss it.

The overall facility environment and support staff, as well as food and activities offered, are very good. However, be aware that administration here becomes quite defensive if you bring up any concerns about your loved one’s care. Additionally, after our loved one’s sudden passing there, I was not only made to feel like it was somehow our fault by not having administration start hospice services prior to the death but I received no personal condolences (other than from the very friendly sales director) from the head administrator and in fact was completely ignored by her even though we saw each other on multiple days as I facilitated cleaning out our loved one’s room. A very negative experience: UPDATING REVIEW I have to say that we were treated like royalty by all administrative staff but particularly from the executive director our last few days of clearing out our loved one’s apartment. Genuine compassion and concern was demonstrated and we now feel totally satisfied that our loved one made the right choice to live at this facility.

My Dad was a long time resident of Green Valley, and after he hit 89 years of living, it was no longer safe for him to live in his home alone. He refused to move closer to me (in Las Vegas), so I looked at pretty much all the assisted living facilities in the area, and we found Silver Springs to be the best fit. I cannot tell you what a comfort it was knowing he was in the best place possible. The staff there are so caring, from the hostess and workers in the dining room, to the Director, Caregivers, and Maintenance staff. My Dad was a handful (he had Dementia), yet they went above & beyond what I could ever have imagined. Whenever he had a problem with something, they did everything they could to resolve his issues. The communication between myself and the Nursing staff & Director was awesome. Every time I visited him, it felt like he was staying in a 5 Star resort. I can recommend this facility to anyone who is in need of Assisted Living and are looking for THE BEST!!!

We were able to move both of my parents into Silver Springs immediately, which was an enormous blessing as they were in a crisis, not to mention a global pandemic. The staff was amazing!! They helped manage all of the paperwork, including necessary legal and health requirements, in an efficient and professional manner. At a time when our family was overwhelmed, they guided us, supported us, and went above and beyond to ensure that we could have peace of mind and our parents could be well cared for. Every single person we encountered was kind and helpful, both staff and residents. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. We have not seen dad this happy in years. We hope that our parents enjoy many years to come at Silver Springs!

Silver Springs took awesome care of my grandfather while he was with them. He chose their service when he didn't want to live alone anymore. Their dining service was a big seller for him. The staff here is unbelievably friendly. They offer many levels of care including hospice. They do not, however, serve memory care patients. If you're unsure of your care needs, I suggest going to an interview with Sharon Roffman, the sales manager there. She is like the long-lost family member you didn't know you were missing. Caring and convivial, she will have the answer to all of your questions and if she doesn't know she will find out. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for more of a community to be a part of when living a lone doesn't fit your lifestyle needs.
