This facility needs an upper management makeover. For over the last year I have been a frequent visitor of this facility and witnessed several improper placement of residents in MemoryCare/Reflections and Asst’d Living. Several are so obvious that staff & family members regularly question these placements yet Mgmt does nothing. My guess is that it comes down to the fact that this is a profit driven business first and a care facility second. Director [name removed] cannot figure out how to provide good consistent care that keeps residents safe while maintaining a good committed staff and the shareholders happy. Something has to give and it’s the patients and the staff suffering as a result. The fact that [name removed] has been there almost a year says the bosses must be happy but I’m not sure why! Over the past year dozens (upwards of 90%) of highly qualified & very compassionate care givers, med-techs & support staff have left or been forced out by false accusations that insulted their professionalism. Many swore they’d never leave the job they so loved nor would they leave their patients that they cared so deeply about and treated like family. Many have worked under very undesirable and risky staff-to-patient ratios that strain their ability to provide adequate care for their patients. Yet soon they were packing up because the Mgmt was so horrible and points the blame on the staff rather than looking in the mirror for the cause. Many staff just got tired of the lack of professional acumen of the new Director [name removed]. Her disastrous tactics create great divide for everyone there and the culture is terribly unhealthy. If it were not for the vulnerability of the patient population I believe that every staff member with a conscience would have left months ago! I believe [name removed] is unfit and lacks proper experience for this job! Until the top culture changes I wouldn’t step foot in this place and I certainly would not admit a loved one here! This is the Titanic!

I worked 11/13/2019 Through August 24 2022. 💜 I started as a caregiver in memory care, then I was promoted as med-tech lead in AL, then the opportunity to coordinate AL was given, it was an unforgettable experience I learned a lot from my two leaders Sue WD. and Dennis ED. Both very good teachers. I am very grateful for that opportunity they gave me and for believing in me. I will never forget all the good things they taught me and how patient they were with me. good teachings are never forgotten 💝. for how well they treated me. If I had my mom, my grandmother or my grandfather or my dad, I would take them to live at Morningstar Arrowhead, one of the best places I could trust to take a relative of mine to live. Unfortunately my parents are no longer here. The workers are very nice people, especially Gloria Crawford, Mandy, Sheyla, Alexani, Angelica H, Melissa G, they really like their work, very dedicated. I thank God for having had the privilege of having worked with my colleagues and my two leaders, Sue and Dennis. miss them a lot. Morningstar at arrowhead, I would like to start off with saying this place is most memorable and gracious. Not only do they welcome families with open arms, but their staff is like one big familia. I am absolutely grateful for this when we are dealing with COVID and we cannot see my mother often. I am comfortable with knowing that the caregivers are there taking care of my mom with love and patience. Without the coordinaters there I believe this place would fall apart. Erin has been nothing but a blessing since she has started. When sue does not answer or bother to call back, Erin always answers and keeps me updated which I appreciate so much. With the Wellness director never answering or communicating, I was thinking of moving my mother out. But then Erin was hired and I will not be going anywhere while she is in charge there. Even when I am there and Erin is not, the other coordinator meghan, is the sweetest and always has a smile that lights up the room. If Erin isn’t there then meghan is always there to help no matter what it is even when she has no idea what’s going on in Assisted living, she tries her best to assist me. I have never seen such an Amazing team like they have now. The care staff and coordinators are the BEST and ONLY reason I have not moved my mother out yet. The management could do a little spring cleaning. Maria with maintenance has never done any job I have asked her to do. It has been three months now and not once have I seen her fix or clean what I have asked. I have to have my husband go in and fix everything since she refuses to do her job.

I cannot say enough great things about Morningstar at Arrowhead! My grandfather spent 1 month at this facility in their dementia care unit. As an RN I know not all facilities are created equal but this facility went above and beyond to keep my Grandfather safe and well cared for. I want to thank all of the staff for everything they did for my grandfather as well as all of the other patients. Dementia is aweful and the staff here are trained very well to know how to speak and handle these patients while allowing them to keep their dignity.

Their dedication to provide the best care for all residents, assisted living and memory care, is always evident. This facility is as good as any I have researched. My father and his wife have been here 1-1, 2 years and the facility is beautiful and the care is adequate. Meals and dining room are above average. If you google search ‘skilled nursing facility Morningstar comes up in the listing, but this is not a skilled nursing facility. Staff turnover here is high.....3 directors since end of 2017, among other staff changes. My only involvement so far is with the assisted living part of the premises. I dont have any experience with the memory care unit but I hear good things.

I am an outside nurse caring for patients in MorningStar arrowhead. The staff are friendly and professional and always strive for providing the best care for all of their residents. The executive and wellness director our proficient in maintaining resident care. The building is immaculate and is the perfect size for a home like environment. There are many common areas for residents to utilize and the dining room is a perfect size for the facility with exceptional quality of food to meet the demands of aging older adults. The memory care unit is managed to suit the needs of residents with dementia. In comparison to the many assisted-living facilities In the valley, Morningstar arrowhead is efficiently managed and as a registered nurse I would recommend this facility for families seeking peace of mind that their loved ones are well care for.

Hi, First of all, you need to know that all people I write about, I give aliases to protect the innocent and the guilty! This all started one day when Berry asked me to do a short blerb about MorningStar and what I like or dont like. I thought about it for a nanosecond and said forget about it and in your dreams! Here l am, doing what I said I wouldnt do. MorningStar is a good place to live if you dont want to cook 3 meals a day, if youre tired of cleaning, are bored, or would like to have someone new or old to talk with. Welcome to Morning Star! You think about exercising but cant get started then call MorningStar! Or you want a fresh cup of coffee just go to the Bistro any time of the day. You want to play bingo or left, right, center come live at Morning Star! You say you have to take a lot of pills more than once a day, when you live at MorningStar our trained and certified Med-Techs give the meds at the time you are supposed to get them. Lets go to the dining room. The Servers are great! They are friendly and polite. First they ask you what you want to drink? You can choose from a lot of juices and some soft drinks. While they are getting your drinks, you have time to read the menu and decide what you want to eat. Then the drinks come and you can place your order. If nothing on the menu pleases you, you can always order a hamburger or a hot dog or cold sandwiches. In the evening, you can watch a movie in the theatre or work off some calories in the exercise room with 3 different pieces of equipment and weight lifting equipment. Then you are not quite tired so you can go to the spa and sit in the hot tub until you are relaxed. You can go to your room and read or watch tv or go to bed! If that seems to boring, go to the Bistro and have a cup of hot chocolate and there are usually some residents there to visit with or play a card game! Life is what you make of it! At MorningStar you can be as busy as you like or as quiet as you want. So come take a tour and have a look, maybe even have a meal. It costs nothing. Oops, I forgot there is a beauty parlor for men and women. Thanks for your interest and time! By the way, my name is Mike and if my little article interests you enough to come see MorningStar just tell the person who shows you that Mike sent you. Thanks again Ive had more time to think about things I didnt remember to mention at Morning Star. When you visit here and come through the front door, the first person you are greeted by is one of several Concierges. (thats a word I didnt know before) She is friendly, polite, and helpful. Later on you will find out the many helpful things these women can do or find for you. All you have to say is youd like to see this place, can anyone show you around? And oh, Mike sent me. She will call one of two helpful women, Berry or Bunny, who will give you the full tour. As you go through the tour you see residents doing daily activities. You will see model rooms typical of lived-in rooms. You will be taken to Bistro and the dinning room. If you tour during mealtime you will see residents eating and visiting. As you leave the dining room you will be in the front room where you came in and see a resident talking with the Concierge asking where their room is or where the dining room is? Or can they go out for a walk? Or where the nurses office is? The front desk is always busy! And the phone is ringing frequently

Of all the senior comunities we investigated for my mom, Morning Star Arrowhead was by far the most hospitable and appealing. There is a genuine sense of family among residents and staff. The executive team expresses a concern for the residents which is born of genuine compassion, holding daily meetings to reinforce their faith-based values. Consequently, residents are treated with patience and respect. The physical surroundings are lovely: the decor is very pleasant, but not ostentatious, and the rooms, both public and private, are light-filled and spacious. Meals are tasty and nicely served. I would not hesitate to recommend Morning Star to prospective residents.

What a beautiful place to live! Just visited R. Dickerson....such a lovely lady! She truly deserves a place such as this. I particularly enjoyed seeing a baby grand piano in plain view. It has such grand sound!
