Maplewood Lane meal plans that are prepared with fresh ingredients daily from specially designed menus. We also offer snacks between meal times. This is a great small facility to put your loved ones. The staff is so friendly and loving to the residents, they like to have fun with them. Ms. McNeal the administrator spends countless number of hours there making sure that the residents are well taken care of. Oh and the building looks amazing on the outside and inside very well kept !!! So glad this facility is in Shelby county to serve the elderly !!! Go Maplewood keep up the good work !!!

The owner was a terrific marketer, but what I found was very different. If you are thinking about this facility for your loved one I hope you live close by; check in frequently. I requested to speak with the MD and Nurse Practitioner many times, I never spoke to either. I'm not sure my mother was ever seen by a physician, nurse practitioner or even a registered nurse. Their administrator is not a nurse, those she dresses like one. I missed several phone calls from them because my caller ID did not say "MAPLEWOOD." Often the administrator would call from home & I didn't recognize her name or city. And, I wonder about their record keeping. The pharmacist at the pharmacy they use called me several times, asking about the confusion regarding my mother's meds. I had to get my pharmacist (Walmart) to call MAPLEWOOD in order for my mother to receive her insulin. My mother fell twice (new behavior for her) & landed in two hospitals with a blood sugar of over 900. I would hesitate before using this facility. Its more like independent living or an assisted living with no nurses. I honestly doubt they will print this. They could not keep their rating if they did. I am the resident's daughter & a registered nurse. I'll never forgive myself for placing her there. She, now at a new place, is not the same person.

Impressed with this facility and the caring team that is there. Shay, the administrator is very helpful and compassionate. Residents have plenty of activities to stay engaged and active. Neat that immediately next to the facility and convenient for residents is the library, senior center, fire and police department, and a beautiful lake with a walking trail around it.

This is the perfect place for my 93yr old mother. From the administration to the cook in the kitchen are wonderful people they enjoy CARING for the elderly residents, you can tell by their actions. My mothers room is the perfect size for her, she enjoys sitting in the living room with chairs in a big circle so everyone can see each other while they are visiting with each other. She moved in several days before her Birthday and they gave her a huge Birthday Party. No long halls for her to travel to get to her meals or the living room , this place is so cozy and safe, makes you comfortable. It gives me great peace of mind to know she is well taken care of. I don't think we could have found a better place.
