As a healthcare community partner, this is one of my favorite facilities to visits and recommend. The facility is consistently well-maintained and clean. Staff members are attentive and proactive with activities, while monitoring and engaging with patients. The atmosphere at West Janisch is welcoming and comfortable. I absolutely encourage my community partners, families, social workers, case manager ect. to tour this facility.

We had my MIL here in the rehabilitation area for 5 days in December 2025 and had to take her out because the food was too repulsive. Even my husband who isn't a super picky eater said the food was not appetizing. I get it that they're making in bulk but if your team tries to obtain a better food supplier contract then it'll help the residents! The nurses and PT staff were on point and kind. Praise God. We were there during the Durham elem school Christmas performance and that's great and heartwarming for residents! Praying for success and God's will since your location is one of the closest rehabilitation facilities/nursing homes in our Garden Oaks/Oak Forest area and with an aging population, young families need a great place for their aging parents if needed.

I can’t say enough about this wonderful Skilled Nursing Facility. I have never seen such a hands on administrator, Mrs. Leah is amazing. The care team is very hands and has great communication. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.

My mom really loves all of the nurses in the facility . She speaks highly on everyone every visit the staff treats us amazing . I also love the activities that are done to keep them busy it’s one of the top five facilities in Houston.

Our most cherished family member "my mother" lived at West Janisch for over a year. The care and support that our mom and family received during her stay answered our prayers. Thank you to Melissa (marketing director) who brought us and welcomed us to West Janisch and ensured our mom was supported and comfortable. The staff took care of our mother as a family member. The kindness, compassion, and fellowship meant the world to us. Our mother called West Janisch her home and was treated as such. Our mom loved the food, activities, hair dresser, worship, and Family atmosphere. We are truly grateful that our mother spent her last days surrounded by family. Thank for always answering our calls, addressing our concerns, and the food was great too! I would recommend this care center to anyone that wants their loved one living in safe, comfortable, and loving facility.

My mom was admitted to this facility after having a procedure on a wound , she was here for 2 weeks , the staff was available and showed they cared when we needed them in the business and medical records department also the case manager ! The nurses were nice and friendly so us and very helpful . My mom complained about her food because by the time she would get her tray her food was cold ! The Nurse Practitioners had good bed side manners ,my mom as I’m a room where there was controlled ac so it was always hot for everyone else except her . Rooms were ok not many outlets ! We are very thankful for this facility and we would definitely go back if we ever needed to !

Anyone who's ever had to do it knows it's a difficult thing to place a loved one in a nursing home. It's never ideal but sometimes it's what's necessary. We had mom in a different facility due to the complications that came during Covid. After just over a year we were able to move mom to West Janisch Health Care Center. We read reviews online that said "they treated my loved one like a family member" and we were deeply skeptical, but we wanted to try somewhere better than the place she was at. BEST DECISION we could have made. During mom's last year of life this place made all the difference. They took better care of her physically (meds, bathing, etc) and the communication was on point. But most of all they treated her like a person. They did indeed treat her like a family member. They were kind and compassionate and they made all the difference in mom's life. I have to call out K.C, the activities director who was exceptionally caring and a wonderful friend to mom. Mom passed recently and my sister and I are both so grateful they took such good care of her, and so glad we made the decision to move her here. I really can't recommend West Janisch enough. Having had experience with a different facility we weren't hopeful about good quality care. They exceeded our expectations and we will be forever grateful.

We are very satisfied! My 91 year old father went to Janisch for five days while he had a UTI -- in other words, while he was a high-maintenance patient. We only had five days to get to know the staff and see their routine. But during that time they were just great! Kind and gentle with my father and patient with his family, that was very worried about him. I am sure we will be back and we are so happy to have found such an asset so close to us. Special shout-out to Melissa who welcomed us with friendliness and enthusiasm made the whole experience good.

My family's experience with the facility have been great. The administration office made it a smooth transition for my grandmother's to move from SNF to the nursing home and the nursing staff have been caring and patient with her. We made a great decision moving her to West Janisch Health Center.

West Janisch Health Center is a terrific place. I've been here many times and the CNA nurses are wonderful with there patients. I been to several nursing homes because of my grandpa, and nothing comes close to this place. Highly recommend it here.

The Centers activities are great. Groover44 and the Lincoln Community Center Line Dancers performed and interacted with the patients on September 5th. Everyone had a great time. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful newly renovated facility and attentive staff!! We found that they just took such good care of our family member. They encouraged him when he needed it and yet they could leave him alone if he needed that also. They have a staff that is warm and caring and very knowledgeable. Facility is clean and comfortable. I would recommend them to anybody.

This facility is old and not very fancy, and the employees are just regular, down-to-earth people, so it has a more homey feel to it. The staff acts unprofessionally sometimes, loud laughter and gossip, but they took great care of my mom when she stayed there 3 years ago, handling her medications on schedule and making sure she got to the dining room at meal times. They kept the place reasonably clean, and were courteous to her even when she snapped at them. I was allowed to sit in on her physical therapy, and the therapists were wonderful, working patiently with each resident at his or her level, and they helped my mom reach her goal of walking unassisted long before the doctors expected. When my mom returned there last year after a serious stroke, the staff helped to make her last hours more bearable by the gentle care they took of her, and their kindness to me after she passed. My regular visits probably made sure she got better care, but this is true of any nursing home. This is a good facility for someone who would feel more comfortable in a more casual setting, and who doesn't need a lot of activities.
