We stayed there for 22 days, and the overall experience was positive if not for the fact that my dad was severely dehydrated and had a strong case of pneumonia to the point we had to take him to Ben Taub Hospital the week he was scheduled to go home. Ironically, he arrived from the first hospital with pneumonia, was supposedly cured there, and got pneumonia there

My brother is currently in Ashford Gardens and I wanted to say that Karen is an amazing employee. She came into his room to deliver his lunch tray and I asked where I would find a TV remote as there wasn't one in the room. She went out of her way to find one and brought it back. Thank you Karen!

Nurse Dixon has been so good to me from the day I got here, she never leaves a problem for someone else to figure out she always finds a solution, she puts her patients first and their needs, takes in to consideration our needs always taking care of everything that she can, she goes above and beyond she takes her time with each patient and makes sure their needs are met and Leanta Jackson Cna she always makes sure I am changed in a timely manner, makes sure I am clean and answers the light in a very timely manner, does anything in her power to make sure we are comfortable. Works hard to keep everything clean and well maintained CNA Lizeth works hard always a smile on her face never acts as if you are inconveniencing her. She stayed past her time to go home to make sure I was taken care of on many occasions. They have a lot of great workers here. Luisa Guerrero CNA always with a smile no matter what is asked of her, always busy never just standing around helps everyone works all the time. Takes great care of her patients and always a great attitude.This is a good place but it's the great people who work here who make it great. Physical therapy dept Julia, Kadrian, Chat they all do a great job, I'm starting to walk and haven't in 5 years, RN Davis is very attentive, knowledgeable and takes great care of her patients, never leaving he work for someone else looking out for her patients needs

I am a current resident here at Ashford Gardens and I just have to say that the care that I get here is really great. The staff here is really wonderful, I especially want to mention Annabel, Maria, and Diana. There are a few folks that I am missing, but the care that I get here is exemplary.

From the Nursing staff Twin and Team, The CNA 's Angelica, Lisa, Ms V, Roshea, Dylan,Annabel and others. Housekeeping Staff Delores, Ms Erma help keep it clean. The cooking Team with Ms Aundria and Social Service Della and Activities Ms Ida. Collins and physical thrapy care has helped him to be able to walk again with a walker. It takes a Village to take care of my God Dad and I strive to do everything I can as his Support System. As his family I have a part to play also. No Nursing home can do it all with out the Family Support. Thank you Ashford GARDENS. Im a satisfied Family member who wants nothing but the best for my Poppa as he battles illnesses.

The physical therapy Department was awesome. When I came to Ashford Gardens I couldn't walk at all. I left there walking with my walker.They took theyre time and leaned my needs and the reason why I came there.They also had pride in every single person that comes in thale facility for therapy. Making sure you get all your time each and every day sometime a little more time. Special thanks to Collins, Kadrain, Carolyn, Toya and Julia. The day time nurse was awesome Ms. Smith and the CNA'S as well Diana, Marie, Clark also 2nd Shift nurse Mr. Enoch and CNA'S was also good to me. Ms Daneils always made sure my medication was delivered properly. Can't leave out the night shift Ms.Washington and her nite staff.The social worker Ms.Resse was one of a kind and was always there if needed. Ms Allen as well and Ms.Karen were asli vital assetsin my treatment. And most of all the Dietary Department was Great. They took their time the in preparation of my dietary needs, which were important to me. The attentive messures put into my diet were a vital asset in my regaining my mobility. Thank you Ms.A. Ashford Gardens from me it’s been a beautiful place first of all. I like to say thank you to all the staff that have helped me to get better. Physical therapy is wonderful. They have the best people in there to help you get back on your feet. The food is delicious. The people that work here at night. They’re also very attentive and always willing to help has been the best place that I’ve ever been and I have been to a few other ones that I will not give out information because they have not been quality service. The food has been awful but being here at Ashford Gardens if I had to do it all over again I wish it would’ve been my first choice so for people in the future, I give them A+ for everything that they’ve done for me and it’s been quite an experience. Thank you again for having me and taking care of me if I ever have to come back this is where I will come. I feel like this is Home and the nurses and the staff are always willing to help and they make it more personal. It’s like being at home but even better. ™

My name is Roger Hudson. I’m down 1200 hall 1205 is my room number. This review goes to Leticia Davis. She’s super awesome. She’s very very knowledgeable about her feel and the medication. that she is administrator she tells you with the situation is and why are you taking a medicine and everything she’s awesome and she also is the reason why I’m here making these review for her because she needs to be a person that’s allowed to get a raise big money for saving my life. I really think she saved my life according with the doctor said when I got to the hospital when I told her my pacemaker is shocked me she was like everything all all force, and everybody was on top of the game. I swear I was so comfortable and relaxed that she kept telling me I’ll be OK you’ll be OK. We’ll take care of it. You’ll be OK and all I can remember is I will be OK is because how she gives me my meds how she’s been looking after me on checking my blood pressure and everything is she’s a very special nurse and we need more like her and that’s why I’m giving this. I’m giving this review as five stars and I know there’s a lot of people up here really can’t function well it really can’t remember all that good I remember everything I function very well. God bless you and I love everybody and please allow her to get her fancy home because she really deserves it thank you love appreciate it thank you thank you thank you

Nurse Dixon and Chelsea med Tech these two individuals that work with me at the nursing home was very nice very formal and very respectful and just all in general very nice people and they made my stay as comfortable as possible. they fought for me for medication for medication’s For me that the doctors was too slow, realizing the situation or the pain I was suffering because they new me, they knew my struggle they took time to know me and a very, knowledgeable about the medication’s very nice and also they spoke with me when I was hurting and when I was sad and kept me comfortable and happy, I love this place to death five stars always Roger Hudson And they work on the weekends your weekend nurses

We used Ashford Gardens for respite care for my dad, and our experience was overall very positive. The staff was kind, attentive, and communicated with us regularly, which gave us peace of mind during his stay. The facility was clean and well maintained, and my dad was treated with dignity and respect. It’s never easy leaving a loved one in someone else’s care, but we truly felt he was in good hands. The minute I walked in the building I noticed how beautiful and clean no smell I said I like this place the CNAs is very good at her job I feel that my care and concern by the staff is serious the therapy is very good sometimes I get a little grouchy because I get tired or I need my nap but they're good at talking me through it. The Meals are good but I feel sometimes it's not enough on my plate but that could be a good thing too it helps my weight control I enjoyed the church service the second day that I was here and seeing young people giving and dedicating their life to Christ and have time to go out and minister to the sick and shed in.

This place is great at some things and not so great at others. The nurses were for the most part phenomenal. The therapy was great at first but they are not good at all with working with patients with dementia. So as soon as we realized that, we got out of there as fast as possible. They do have a resident cat that is the most chill cat I’ve ever seen and interacts well with residents

My 89 year old mother was there for five weeks for physical and occupational therapy. They did an outstanding job taking care of her and tending to her needs, for instance, getting her to and from the restroom. My mom really enjoyed the food. She said it was very tasty and there was plenty of it. The physical and occupational therapy really helped her get strong enough to walk again with her walker. The staff here is very professional and I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for my mom. My mom said she would come back!

In general this is a wonderful place if you’re rehabbing or here short or long term. I’ve been here two years and my life has been inhanced. I’ve had many set backs due to different health scars.
