My mom recently had a 2 week rehab stint at Adviniacare Newburyport and overall I was pleased. It was a hard time for her and it would have been easy to nitpick about the building being older and less modern but it was nice enough. The staff was always pleasant and responded to her needs promptly. I was about to communicate with the staff just fine if there were any questions or concerns. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I arrived at Advinia with a high level of anxiety based on a recent dismal experience at another facility. (NOT associated with Advinia)I was greeted immediately and made welcome. MY room was comfortable and provided space to move about practicing the therapy assigned by PT specialists. The staff - from top to bottom - were professional, friendly and helpful in many ways. They made efforts to know me as more than a set of symptoms. PT, OT & LT were extremely helpful and even fun. Throughout my two week stay my medications were handled correctly and on time. When it became apparent that one medication with not helping enough, they immediately notified the prescriber and received permission to make necessary change to handle pain more effectively. I always felt safe, secure and well cared for under very trying circumstances.

I had a family member stay at this facility and the care they received was some of the best compared to surrounding facilities. It is one of the most unfortunate parts of life being unable to provide the necessary care to a loved one- but that’s why having a facility who cares so much is so important. All the staff from the admissions director down to the patient care staff is friendly and a pleasure to work with. I personally did not have any issues during our family’s time there- but if I had I trust that our concerns would be heard.

Hello, My mom, Peg was at AdviniaCare in Newburyport MA for 2+ weeks. She is 92, with a kind and mischievous heart, slowly falling into the darkness of dementia. She fell at home, had hip surgery then sent to AdivinaCare for rehab. She was welcomed by a team that showed compassion and excellence from administration, business, social worker, PT/OT, medical and nurses/CNA. To leave your mom in the care of others can be worrisome. I will forever be thankful that she was treated with a loving embrace!

Jeff has been at AdviniaCare Country Center for three weeks now. He is scheduled to come home in a week. The facility has been such a pleasant experience after a very bad one at a Florida rehab in Boca Raton where he had his stroke. We were so pleased to find a facility at home where the staff truly cares about its residents. The first time I called Jean from admissions answered. She was so helpful knowing we were looking for a place to continue his rehab as soon as possible. She worked to place him quickly. She continued to follow up and has been so very kind and caring throughout his stay. Whenever he got anxious she would give him treats and juice from the lounge and even sat outside with him when he was wanting to come home. Even on his bad days the staff was patient and loving. Sue was there with a smile and Hershey kisses that he loved. I visited every day and Kim at the desk always greeted me personally with a smile and something nice to say. Ian in Rehab gave reports on a regular basis and was so good with advice for at home care. Just met Annie, new to the rehab staff and she was great with Jeff. The wonderful nurses took the time to listen to concerns and would go out of their way to help or advise. He enjoyed the meals and managed to put some of the weight he lost after the stroke. I highly recommend this facility. Thank you for all you do!

I highly recommend Country Center in Newburyport for your loved one or yourself needing their services. Sheri, Missy and the entire TEAM were very compassionate, responsive and overall amazing. My mom has been recovering from a fall for almost a year. She has been in and out of hospitals and multiple rehabs during this time. Prior to coming to Country Center, Mom and I had rated the previous rehabs as Acceptable, Unacceptable and Completely Awful. After having a great experience during her first stay at Country Center, she asked to return there a second time after another hospital stay. Mom was welcomed back. Mom said their food is delicious and the staff is fantastic. Though the staff is excellent at their job they all seemed to have a great sense of humor. Wasn’t the saying.Laughter is the Best Medicine! This is the place to heal! Both times she was able to return to her favorite place in the world.. Her home at the Elizabeth Calsey House, Assisted Living, in Amesbury. I enjoyed visiting my mom at Country Center, as they treated you like you were part of their family. I am truly thankful for everyone at Country Center in Newburyport for making my Mom and her family a priority.

Country Center is by far the best! I love love love all the Seniors, they are my favorite people. For the past 7 years, every Friday I would go to Country Rehab to make these wonderful people beautiful. As a Hairdresser and a Public Health Director I have observed the wonderful staff and dedication each one of them showed. The Administrator is top notch. Kelsey in activities has so much fun with all of them, you can see the love she has for them all. Sheri in Marketing/Administration wears many hats, she's there all the time to help in anyway she can. I have never seen such dedicated Employees and Nurses. If the day ever comes when I need to have a loved one go to a facility there is no question it would be at Country Rehab!

My mother was admitted to country Center for Rehab and health for long-term care just as Covid crisis began. The staff could not have handled the situation better. They were on top of it before most of us even knew what Covid was. They consistently strive to make the quality of life as good as possible while keeping the residents safe- a very tricky balancing act. Our family could not be more grateful for the kind and professional care my Mom receives daily. Friends encouraged us to consider places with newer equipment and fancy renovations and I am so glad that we chose to go with the quality of care over anything else! Relationships matter and the staff at Country are masters at co-creating healthy ones with residents and families. We can’t wait to continue our experience with them during more normal times.

My mother was admitted to the rehab after being treated in the hospital for a fall, UTI and following complications. Due to Covid, it was hard to tell the quality of her care at Country. It appeared that she was receiving good care. While she was there, I did notice that they kept giving her items that included gluten, she is gluten sensitive, so many times she got very nauseous and had diharea. Her doctor was excellent and called to speak with me to discuss moms progress. She was also very patient with mom. It wasn't until she went home for 2 WEEKS and fell again, followed by going back to the hospital, that we began to realize they discharged her too early. In addition, she is now in a different rehab facility and which is helping us realize she did not recieve the treatment she needed to return home safely. The only physical therapy she recieved while at Country was walking around her room. ( due to covid they claimed) However, just a few weeks later at the new rehab, she recieved physical therapy exercises and felt accomplished. She said to me " This is what I wanted to do at that other place." The exit plan from Country entailed being called just a few days before she was expected to go home and when I stated that at previous rehabilitation centers we had a family meeting to discuss the plan I was told she called me 30 times. Well that was just not true. We did play phone tag a few times the previous week. HOWEVER, I was on vacation and was able to answer my phone ALL WEEK and the FIRST phone call I recieved that week was Thursday for a Saturday discharge. Not sure why she couldn't have called Monday- Wednesday. After reading all of the reviews about Country, I was a bit disappointed.

I have a friend at Country who I video chat with every week. The staff never forgets to hook us up. Yesterday I received a message I could do a visit with her today. I just want to say how excited I was, my friend was, and what impressed me the most... the staff was also excited! During this past year I have seen through their postings of special events how caring the entire staff is at Country. They have constantly gone way beyond their job description! Their creativity is very impressive as is the demonstration it’s a team effort, not just the activities department. You people are the best!

Through the last 7+ years, both my parents, John & Janet Borrelli (residents at The Sullivan Building, Newburyport for 10+ years) spent time at Country Rehab. The nurses and nurses aides were phenomenal, along with the wonderful physical therapy, recreational therapy and dietary departments. Sadly my Mom died in 2015 and Dad just passed away December 23, 2018. I would recommend Country Rehab very highly.
