Lawanda did an excellent job of explaining Lanier Village Estates to us. She listened to us and our questions an spent time not telling us but showing us what we needed to see. We walked miles until she had answered all of our questions. We met many residents along the way all of whom she knew and they were all excited to see her. We felt this community met our needs and would be an excellent place to spend our remaining years. Thank you for the conplimentery dinner, it was excellent.

We have been at LVE for only 5 months and are considered to be newbies by all the new friends we have made. Who knew that moving to LVE and living with a bunch of old people would be so much fun. Yes many people told us that while we were doing our due diligence but to witness this firsthand is truly special. We love it here!

The quality of our lives at Lanier Village Estates (LVE) has far exceeded our highest expectations when we moved here from another state 11 years ago. One pleasant surprise for us was the discovery of LVE’s amazing natural assets. I happily count and report LVE’s birds daily to Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology. And LVE has a trail of blooms for Spring wildflower enthusiasts, like myself. A second surprise has been Gainesville, where we have found deeply rewarding volunteer activities. As a cuddler in the hospital’s NICU, I tell people that I have the best job in Georgia.

We have lived at Lanier Village Estates for nearly four years and are so thankful we made the move here. Staff and residents are friendly, supportive and fun to know. There are numerous staff sponsored and resident organized activities. The apartments and cottages are generously sized and well maintained. Having a full range of services ( independent living, assisted living, memory care and nursing home) on the campus gives us peace of mind

Lanier Village Estates has turned out to be everything I hoped for in a retirement community. I moved in seven weeks ago. The team that handled the renovations to my apartment were wonderful to work with and so very accommodating that I ended up with a place to live that I am completely satisfied with and proud to call my new home. Everyone has been super welcoming. The food is delicious! I think I should repeat that. The food is delicious! And so many amenities, you just need to see for yourself.

Recently I moved to Lanier Village Estates. This is the best decision I could have made. I absolutely love it here. My Sales Representative Julie Kuchemann was wonderful helping me with choosing my apartment and filling me in on the wonderful lifestyle here. Chanda did a stressless and fantastic job building the new interior of my apartment . There is a great team here in every area. Everyone is very friendly, there is tons to do, the grounds are beautiful and the food is good.This is a fantastic place to live!

Lovely facilities and a supportive community. The food is substandard. If you choose this facility for the access to healthcare you will be sorely disappointed. If you are in independent living there is no access for emergencies. A security guard will respond and call 911. The PA they have on site for all residents is excellent- but stretched way too thin for all the residents. The skilled nursing had good personnel, but not enough and patients are left for long periods of time without response to needs for restroom help or meds.

Lived there for several years. Very nice community, facilities, staff and residents. Only downside is that it's quite a distance from anything more major than Gainesville for example Atlanta or Athens.

Im a mover and have been in hundreds of similar places yet none compare to lanier village

NOT pet friendly. They promised for years to put in a dog park. They did finally at the base of a cliff. Look at this photo.... yes that is it, at the bottom. No way anyone with a walker or a wheel chair could get to it. It is just something they claim to have but not in truth accessible. Round trip from my mom’s apartment is right at one mile! Of course no one uses the easily accessible tennis court and putting green that are there for photo opportunities, but lots of dog walking with people using walkers. We had a great dog walker mom loved like a grand daughter, that worked for many residents. After 10 years she was summarily banned, without explanation, leaving everyone in a lurch. We are now invited to use their nursing aids, a different one every time, for a fee of course. Leave your pet. Management here is haughty, over bearing and lacks empathy.

You need to think long and hard before you come here. It is very expensive and once they have your money there is no going back. They control what you eat, when you eat, who can and can not visit, all very condescendingly.
