I saw a home health patient today that lives at pine crest retirement community. I was knocking on the door, but my patient was not coming to the door. A staff member came over to assist and was very concerned. We knocked louder, and she came to the door. She uses a walker and it was just taking her a little longer to answer. I was very touched with how well the staff knows their residents and the love and concern they have for them! Wonderful place

I visited a friend at your facility yesterday and was very impressed with everything. She lives in one of the free standing homes which are beautiful and spacious. I happened to be there on St. Patrick's Day and was able to attend part of the days special activities. The activities director was great and made it fun for everyone. The building which contained the apartments and assisted living and nursing care areas was also beautiful. The buildings and grounds are all well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This community is definitely one I would consider moving to for my golden years!

My father stays at Pinecrest. The place is awesome. In the last year I've seen him really living again at 88. Lufkin is where he was born and now he gets to visit with cousins that he rarely seen before. Walking 2 miles a day and better shape turn 3 of us. The staff are very professional from the front desk to the dining to the maintenance staff. The place is always clean and walkways are clear and safe for him. Highly recommended for anyone...

This is my first time visiting the facility and looking at it for my mother and father-in-law. I was very impressed with the facility. I walked back through skilled nursing from the main entrance to the rehabilitation center. I talked with several employees and nurses as well as learned about pet therapy.

I have an aunt that stays here, and she is well taken care of. The buildings are well taken care of, and there is always some renovations going on to keep the campus up to date and in good order. Staff genuinely care for the residents, and there is always a friendly creating from everyone when passing in the hallway.

We have been in contact with Pinecrest Rehab Direct Nurse Line to place my father after a lengthy hospital stay and have been absolutely pleased with all aspects of the team and facility. The employee at the entry desk was so friendly and helpful. Everyone we met was friendly and showed their love and concern for Sister Laverne. We enjoyed a delicious, very fresh salad from the Bistro. It was a good day at Pine Crest.

My mother was placed at PineCrest for rehabilitation after she was hit in a head on collision. She entered the transitional rehab facility with many broken bones and other injuries. The staff was very patient and kind to her and treated her with the utmost dignity. The physical and occupational therapist pushed her in therapy and she made such amazing progress under their care. Michelle Waller is an amazing nurse that made my mother feel heard and cared for. The facility is clean, well equipped and has great amenities. The staff is accommodating and hard working on behalf of their patients. From the checking in process to the exit procedure, we could not have asked for a better experience under these circumstances. Paul Johnson is such a dedicated social worker and was incredibly helpful to us. I would recommend Pinecrest to anyone that has health care needs for an elderly loved one.

They are super professionals who can walk the walk of empathy with a big heart and a clear mission. Just generally a whole community of family.

PineCrest is so awesome! The Independent senior apartments are gorgeous with views of the well-kept wooded grounds from a screened-in balcony on the 2nd and 3rd floors or open patio on the first floor. Large bedrooms, closets, and bathrooms with walk-in showers and a built-in marble seat. Plenty of storage in the kitchen and bathroom. And full maid service! Restaurant and Bistro with great food on the ground floor, along with a small grocery market/gift shop, inside mail boxes, hair salon, gym, chapel, and lots of daily activities like Yoga, Tai-chi, games and additional specially scheduled activities. It's like a 5-star hotel but you never have to check out! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, all in a Christian environment. What's not to love?

Specifically, the Rehabilitation Center serves as the ultimate place to recover from surgery or illness. All of the nursing staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. As a family member, I am at peace with the loving, kind, considerate, and compassionate care my family member is receiving 24/7. There is a real peace in my heart to know that everyone at Pinecrest cares about my family the way they care about their own family. You will be very pleased and at peace with your decision if you decide to move to Pinecrest Retirement Community as it is utopia on earth and the best way to spend your senior years in the loving care of dedicated people.

The new check-in kiosk was a breeze to use. Got to mom’s room in the assisted living wing and was so impressed with the space and layout. We love the PC staff and trust them with our mom and our aunt. Both love being a part of the MRC community.

I was there 4yrs ago and they treated me like royalty always attended to my needs went and got me some gear I needed to feel comfortable and would not take gifts unless it was pizza lol one nurse gave me a good warning on person that visited me thank you. The rehab staff was great made my lazy but work and bought the old me back out with there jokes and humor

My dad was in Pinecrest for rehab for 6.5 weeks, while he was there he received the upmost care. I felt so comfortable leaving him because of the excellent staff. They let me know every detail about his plan I cannot thank them enough. I would definitely recommend Pinecrest for any kind of care. The facility was always clean and the food was good, he enjoyed it.

The employees love my Mom & she loves them. Some go beyond their required duties, which demonstrates that their job is more than a “job”. Which, when you’re taking care of people, you should treat them as if they ARE your family. That’s always a good sign of quality care. Taking care of elderly patients is only a job for someone who loves people. It means so very much to the families that for what ever reason aren’t able to take care of their family member themselves, which most want to do. Thank you for taking such good care of my Mom!!
