In the past year and a half I have attended many events at the Ridge. I have been so impressed with all the caregivers the lead staff activities director Tracy, head nurse Elana who makes sure that everyone is cared for and feels loved. I look forward for attending many more events in the future.

Highly recommend the Ridge! A warm and welcoming environment with caring and dedicated staff. If you have a family member who is in need of specialized memory care, as I have had, I wouldn't look any further. What my family appreciated most was the personalized touch from Taylor. It is a very stressful experience to have a loved one go through memory decline, but to know that they were well cared for made all the difference in the world. I know my family absolutely appreciated Taylor's diligence in making sure my grandma was taken care of and loved each and every day. She was always available to talk and answer questions and support us through the process. Thank you again!

I have attended events with The Ridge in support of the Alzheimer's Association. Every event they throw is always so thoughtfully put together with their residents as the main focus. You can see the care staff actually care about the residents and their happiness. The activities department caters the activities and events to their needs. The food is always outstanding and thoughtfully presented at their events and management is involved and active at the events and you can tell behind the scenes too. We really love coming here to visit and support the Alzheimer's association!

I have worked at The Ridge for 4 years. This community is truly a treasure. I am so thankful to be able to witness the residents excellent care they receive from the staff. The staff go above and beyond to meet the residents needs. Tracy, the activities director, is so innovative and always coming up with fun and exciting ways to engage the residents. Taylor the Executive Director goes out of her way every day to meet the needs of the residents, their families and the staff. Some of the caregivers have been here over 10 years and you can see their hearts are truly involved in the residents daily lives.

We moved my mom to The Ridge several months ago after seeing the care my father-in-law received from the staff. It is truly the best! The management team is exceptional, setting high expectations for the care the residents receive and they are there participating in events and activities. They are also very responsive. The activities director is amazing and continually looks for new and exciting things to do with the residents to engage them and make them feel important. The care staff take great care of my mom. All the staff look and act professional. At The Ridge, my mom is truly treated with respect and kindness.

Since the diagnosis of Alzheimer's my mother has been in three facilities of care so my review of The Ridge in Silverdale is based on six years of experience with each facility in an up close and personal fashion. Before our moving to Washington two years ago my mother resided at two care facilities in southern California both of which were exceptional but for our money and based again on our experiences, The Ridge is in my opinion the benchmark for excellence. From the Executive Director to the Office Manager to the Enrichment Director, assistant Enrichment Director, nurses, cooks and nurse assistants, the staff are trained, educated, experienced and above all else, possessing a sense of commitment to their duties which are performed in a professional and warm fashion. The Ridge treats my mother like a member of the staff and thus she is especially happy and settled despite the heartbreaking consequences of her illness. My mother grew up in post World War II Germany but traveled the world so she's always been a free spirit. She worked as a personal assistant by day and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris by night and was always a ball of fire wherever she went. The Ridge celebrates and respects her exceptional personal history in addition to her humorous personality, this explains her calm and easy manner when I visit with her. I strongly endorse The Ridge and if you have a loved one in need of a warm and professional environment then I strongly suggest you speak with the team as I've come to know them. If you're still on fence ask the staff at The Ridge to forward my contact info as I would be more than willing to discuss the details further with anyone serious about caring for their relations. My mom has been at The Ridge for 2 years. She receives excellent care. The entire staff treats her with respect and treats her as if she were a member of their family. I always feel welcome. My questions and concerns are always answered quickly and positively. Definitely happy to be part of The Ridge family. It has been 3 years since I wrote my first review. My mom continues to reside at The Ridge. She is content as am I with her care. The pandemic brought many concerns, challenges, and changes. The staff worked hard to keep residents safe and connected with their families. I missed visiting my mom immensely but was comforted knowing she was receiving very good care. Many of the Ridge family I knew have moved on but I am experiencing the same spirit of kindness, helpfulness, and respect with the "new" Ridge family. My mom is in the Best place!

The Ridge has been a wonderful home for a person with Alzheimer's Disease. Our family member is treated well with all of her needs being met in a very positive and patient manner. During Covid, it has been such a challenge to have a loved one who is struggling to communicate. The staff has gone out of their way to reach out and keep us informed. When we visit or call, we are always treated kindly and have all our questions answered by the nursing staff. Thank you for all you do.

What is so special about The Ridge (memory care facility)? Just about everything!! If you are looking for an extremely caring atmosphere where ALL staff have been trained in dementia, a facility whose nurses and staff interact all day long with "guests," a place where great care has been taken to offer large single and double rooms where mom has her own bed, large closet, large bathroom, and her TV, recliner, and other furniture; oh, and she is in a double room! From the very first day we signed mom in to her new home she has been content, sociable, participates in sing a longs, enjoys the three meals a day plus snack times, and the freedom to have family time anytime! The Ridge encourages families to visit whenever they want. This facility is clean, clean, clean. It does not have a "nursing home" feel, at all! The Encore Community has taken great time and energy to create a true "home away from home." Mom, 96, is healthy, sociable, and happy. Her dementia is something the Ridge is dealing with in a most remarkable way. Thank you.

After searching much of Kitsap County for a memory care facility to accommodate my 76 year old wife whose Alzheimer's had progressed beyond my ability to care for her at home, and with the help of her daughter, we decided to place Dottie with The Ridge. A big factor in our decision was that The Ridge does not have independent living or assisted living on premises and is exclusively dedicated to memory care. We were also impressed with the Ridge's safety record and consistent high scores from state inspections. But the most important criteria was our impression that the management and staff at The Ridge were highly dedicated professionals who treated every guest with respect and affection and a Registered Nurse on duty to monitor the health of the guests. We have not been disappointed. The Ridge has exceeded our expectations by accepting Dottie into their care and making her feel as much at home as possible. Dottie has been at The Ridge for over two years and although there is the inevitable and expected decline we're sure she'll be there for several more months with the certainty that she will be well cared for.

Our mom has been at The Ridge for 6 mos. now. We are very happy with her care. The staff at The Ridge are compassionate and caring. If there's a request needed they are always willing to go the extra step. The facility is a beautiful, warm and welcoming place to be as well.
