I truly don’t know where our family would be without the love and kindness shown to us by Welbrook My mother moved into Welbrook 8 months ago after suffering a bad fall at home and living with Alzheimer’s for many years that was getting more severe. As a strong, fiercely independent woman, we always knew that getting my mom to accept outside help would be particularly challenging, even impossible I thought. Prior to Welbrook, my mom would only trust me, her daughter, to manage her affairs and help with tasks such as bathing and other physical challenges. When we made the difficult to decision to move her into a facility, I worried endlessly about how her quality of life would be affected and whether she could ever learn to coexist with others in a peaceful manner. All I can say is that Welbrook’s staff is pure magic. From the diligence shown with adjusting her medications, to the small but meaningful details like advising which socks and clothes could be more comfortable, I know that each and every day they are looking out for my mom’s wellbeing. Beyond taking great care of their residents, the staff truly seems to take an interest in getting to know what makes each individual special. This is such an important part of preserving the dignity of the residents, recognizing that before this disease took hold of them, these individuals lived full lives and that those parts of them are still alive. For example, when the staff started encouraging my mom to join the group activities and common area (instead of mostly staying in her room), the beautiful soul at the front desk, Stephany, would often let my mom pull up a chair next to her and would show her pictures on Pinterest given that my mom loved design and art throughout her life. I can’t say enough about how caring and patient the whole staff has been. Recent developments that once seemed unimaginable include my mom letting the caring staff do her hair and nails, as well as saying I love you to the nurses who come in to care for her. I wholeheartedly recommend Welbrook and am grateful for them everyday for the crucial role they have played in helping keep my mom safe and well cared for as we manage this last precious chapter of her life.

Welbrook has been a godsend for our family since my husband was admitted almost a year ago. Welbrook specializes in memory care and their facility is well appointed and clean. The staff is caring and responsive. My husband requires the highest level of care, but he is always groomed, dressed, and taken to meals and to the activity area where he can observe various interactions with staff and other residents. He is content in the calm but interesting environment maintained in the facility. We are so grateful to have found Welbrook and to have secured a place for him there.

It was a hard decision to relocate my mother from another memory care out of state as change can be difficult. But Welbrook has been very good for my mother. The staff is kind and caring, they all know her by name. The activities director is great and they have activities going on all day to keep the residents engaged. It’s a clean, welcoming, well-run residence. I’m much happier knowing my mom is nearby and well cared for, and I can come visit her regularly and help her as needed.

Welbrook is a very well run facility. The residents are treated like family. The staff somehow knows just how to keep everyone happy. It is relatively new and state of the art. The employees couldn’t be nicer if they tried. I believe the management is great at keeping their employees happy, and that leads to very little turnover. I couldn’t be happier with Welbrook caring for my mom. It is a great relief knowing how well she is being treated there. Thank you all!!

The suites are beautiful, and the entire building is spotless, but most importantly, my mom is thriving. Our experience with Welbrook has been outstanding. The Administrator and Staff have always been very responsive, friendly and professional. We receive daily activity reports and should any medical issue arise we receive immediate notice and action(s) taken. We feel extremely confident that care and attention to all the residents needs are a highlight of Welbrook. The facility is very clean. Meals are served in a nice dining area and on every visit look very delicious. Resident rooms and common areas are well maintained and very clean. The residents appear happy. We highly recommend Welbrook for the care of your loved one.

Our Aunt was a resident at Welbrook. From the minute we called, and then stepped into the building, we were welcomed with such caring open arms. First by Valerie in community relations and then the director David Cole. Valerie was like being with an old friend-instantly. The staff at Welbrook truly have a calling for working with the elderly. This is not just a job for them, you can see that they honestly enjoy older people and have the patience and love that it takes to come alongside the residents and help them in every way possible. The head nurse Shhandita is skilled, knowledgeable, and very loving in the way she interacts with both the residents and staff. Every staff member that we met and got to know is well trained and wonderful in their interactions with the residents and family. They were always so kind and respectful of our Aunt. We felt like Welbrook and its community was family to our Aunt and to us. They are head and shoulders above other communities of their kind. We know because our Aunt spent quite come time in another and the difference was quite noticeable. We cannot recommend Welbrook enough. It is truly a very special place!

I have had the privilege of working closely with Lindsay Nettinga and she is always open to meeting new families and giving them tours of the facility to ensure it is a good fit for their loved ones. Every time I have entered the community, their residents are actively engaged in activity and receiving the 1-1, personalized attention they need. I am the decision maker for my friend Anna. As her health deteriorated and she could no longer care for herself I moved her to another assisted living facility. It was terrible. Anna became very depressed and declined rapidly. I moved Anna to Welbrook and her whole attitude changed. Her health improved and she went from begging me to let her go home’ to her previous home to saying she has to go back home to Welbrook at the end of our visits. She is always happy at Welbrook and the staff is amazing. Everyone cares about the residents. Great staff!! Best decision ever to move Anna!

After losing her husband of 71 years, my mother's dementia became much more pronounced. The assisted living facility where she lived had no memory care and hiring private caregivers quickly became financially unsustainable. After a quick thorough search, we chose Welbrook for my 95-year-old mom. She has been there almost a year and I can honestly say it was the best decision my brother and I could have possibly made on her behalf. Instead of spending all day in her room, she was now spending the day among people, sharing activities, entertainment, and meals, and yes, even making new friends. The whole staff, including the caregivers are humane, patient, loving, and trained in caring for this special vulnerable population. I recommend Welbrook without hesitation!
