I used to work at Village Green, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff turnover is crazy high, and honestly, it’s not hard to see why. Residents were often left in wet briefs, not changed properly, or double layered to make things “easier” instead of doing the job right. I’d come in for my shift and other staff would already be outside in their cars or gone early. When I’d ask for help, I’d either get ignored or get attitude like no one wanted to be there. What really bothered me the most was seeing how little some people cared. I even saw management telling staff to give out morphine in ways that didn’t feel right — like it was more about making their jobs easier than helping the residents. There was a lot of favoritism too, and it felt like no one in charge actually cared about what was going on. It broke my heart, because I really did care about those residents. They deserve so much better than what they’re getting. If you’re thinking about placing someone you love here, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. How would you feel if it was your family member being treated like that?

Our brother had been in a nursing home near my sister in NJ, but the level and quality of care had begun to deteriorate and the cost was high. I searched for facilities in the Kingwood area and visited Village Green to check it out. I was very impressed with Norma (Manager of Resident Care), the quality of the physical facilities and the high staff-to-resident ratio. Norma encouraged me to speak with references before making a final decision, which I did. We relocated our brother to Village Green and are extremely happy with our decision.

The most professional, loving, competent group of caretakers for my husband with Alzheimer’s. We’ve had a marriage of 53 years, so far, and I can sleep peacefully and know he is clean and well-taken care of. I thank God for placing us in the perfect hands. A special thanks to Norma for her leadership role in caring for Eddie Joe. We now belong to a wonderful Village Green family. Thank y’all from the bottom of our hearts.

Five stars are not enough for Village Green. I give them 10 stars. Excellent care and so compassionate and caring. The manager of Village Green Norma is an exceptional person along with her wonderful staff.

My father lived at Village Green Kingwood for the last 3 years of his life. As a family, we have had nothing but good experiences with all of the staff. We had checked out other memory care facilities and nothing compared with Village Green. Top notch place for those who need a memory care facility for a loved one. The manager, Miss Norma, always goes out of her way to help care for the residents and assist family members of the residents there. Making the decision to have my father stay there, was the best decision we made and we would make the same decision again and again. Thank you, Village Green, for all you did to care for my father.
