The staff is amazing. Marlene is what keeps the place running. She is very caring and will do anything that the residents need and what the families need. I have never met an administrator like her. I had my friend at 3 different facilities and never had anyone be as caring as Marlene. I would definitely recommend this facility at the colony.

We have had experiences at many of the memory care facilities in town and Brookedale has far exceeded all of them. The staff is so caring and patient with all of the residents. It’s so wonderful to confidently know your loved one is being cared for with compassion.

My friend has been here for about 2-1/2 months now. He is doing so incredibly well. He smiles more, he is cleaner, he has been more active with the games. He shines when he sits outside. He is talking a bit more. Astrid the caregiver is so amazing. She really cares. Marlene from admin is the one that I give the most credit to. She is so caring and very thoughtful. If not for her I would not have brought him here. She is always so happy and the residents see that and it makes all there lives better. Thank you to Emily the activities director. So bubbly.

Brookdale Memory Care in Fort Myers is truly an exceptional facility. My father is a resident there, and the level of care he received”along with the kindness shown to his dog, Gino”meant so much to our family. Marlene, the Executive Director, is outstanding. She is not only actively involved in every aspect of resident care but is also incredibly approachable and supportive whenever any concerns arise. Her leadership creates a warm and compassionate environment throughout the community. The entire staff deserves recognition. Ciro, who oversees maintenance, is always responsive and willing to help with anything we need. The nursing team is attentive, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of every resident. We are deeply grateful for the care, respect, and kindness shown to our father and our family. I cannot recommend Brookdale Fort Myers highly enough.

I had to place my Mom in a memory care over a year ago and you can imagine my anxiety of settling on the right home. As I write this today, I couldn't be more happier with Brookdale Fort Myers The Colony. There are many reasons, but one that stands out is the loving staff and one in particular that has been a huge favorite of mine and most importantly moms, is Marlene. She goes above and beyond her business office coordinator duties to make sure the residents feel loved and cared for. If you ask Mom, she will tell you she is her favorite. As an only child and busy, it can be difficult for me to get by there as much as I can. When I make it in, Marlene always lets me know how Mom is doing. They have such a sweet relationship. And that is consistent with all of the staff there who take care of our loved ones in Brookdale. It has been a great choice and a comforting one knowing good people like Marlene are there.

Marlene, the business manager, goes above and beyond her job title to make this difficult time bearable. I feel like she a great friend since I met her. My husband Gary has been at Brookdale, The Colony for 7 months. His care has been outstanding. The aides are wonderful and experienced in caring for Dementia residents. I feel confortable knowing he is safe and well taken care. Marlene, the Office Manager is very helpful and always gets my issues resolved. Carrie, has done a wonderful job of retaining and hiring new and competent staff. I'm please with the facility and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memory care community.

I have experienced being there while visiting residents while they were doing activities and I must say the Activities Director is very engaging with the residents and you can tell she really loves what she does. They were having fun smiling and laughing and it is good to see an Assisted Living that is so engaged with their residents. You can tell they really enjoy the activities.

Highly recommend Brookdale The Colony. I had such a great experience with them. What really made my whole experience was seeing all the smiling faces on the residents while Olivia led a gardening activity with them. It was truly heartwarming.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Brookdale Fort Myers and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The staff at Brookdale were incredibly friendly and attentive. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The level of care provided to the residents was exceptional and appeared to focus on individual needs and preferences. There was a variety of amenities and activities offered ensuring that residents had options to stay engaged in. Overall, I was very impressed with the facility and staff.

My dad has been here a few months now. Honestly one of the best places anywhere. Just had a meal with my dad in the private dining room. Chef Joseph prepared an awesome lunch. The staff is great. Olivia is always smiling. If your looking for a memory care facility in the Fort Myers area please don't pass this place up

First impressions are important to me. When I visited Brookdale Colony the first time the entrance was a good sign that it was well thought out and in good taste. The tour confirmed my first impression when touring the community. You are welcomed inside to an open high ceiling park light setting area with a huge skylight that filters in sunlight where residents can relax or venture outside to the safely enclosed open air garden. The community has only approximately 45 residents so they can get the attention they deserve and need from a staff that obviously has a calling for this area of care.

My wife has been a resident for 6 years at the colony. Her care has been exceptional. This includes an evacuation during a flood and during covid 19. The facility is well maintained and the staff has been responsive to my wife's changing needs.

I cannot recommend Brookdale facilities because of their billing practices. No itemized accounting just "personal solutions". I have even reached out to the Department of Consumer Services .Plus staff turn-over leads me to believe there are some underlying issues. Finally, when my mother's additional funds run out, and she has only social security and retirement funds, she will have to leave this facility. Charging an additional $527 a month more this coming year plus 10% more on additional services is making this something I am very concerned about.
