For three years my husband, Bill, and I have been visiting our two friends, Mike and Linda at Stone River in Bradenton Florida. We enjoy a meal and fellowship together. The food is delicious. We enjoy interacting with those who live there. The staff are very nice. Also, we have gotten to know Ramon and Angela Lago. What a sweet energetic couple!!! They have been so kind and caring to us, and we've seen them in action with others. They really do care about those that live at River Stone. We are 79 years old. We are still very active with our grand children so moving into a retirement home now is not the time. BUT, we have taken a tour and have heard all about what it would be lije to live there. When and if the time comes for a Retirement Home, our choice would be Stone River. Thank you for the home like environment you give others to enjoy.

Having lived here almost two years, I truly love this place. The food is good, the staff is friendly and respectful, and the common areas are spotless. 100% better than the last facility I lived in. Management is very responsive to our questions and needs. We receive regular maintenance with two handymen and service personnel attention. My parents have lived at many communities over the years, Stone River tops them all by far! The property/building is well maintained and beautiful. The 3 chef cooked meals a day are absolutely delicious. The managers are very involved and really care about residents and staff. Housekeepers and wait staff are super friendly and hard working. I can't say one bad thing about this place and my parents love everything about it. I'm so glad my parents chose Stone River for their forever home!!

My mother moved into Stone River Bradenton eight months ago and she couldn’t be happier. The facility is clean, the apts are spacious and the Resort managers set a model for a friendly, caring and efficient facility. They make each resident feel special. The housekeepers, dining and kitchen staff, and maintenance personnel reflect the same caring spirit that the managers seek. Stone River in Bradenton recently added Visiting Angels’ for residents that need some extra assistance with their daily routine. They have been an awesome addition to the campus. My mother has the peace of mind that she can continue to live independently at Stone River, but has help when she knows she needs it. This has been a Godsend to her and her family. Stone River in Bradenton has been a delightful experience for our family and highly recommends Stone River for anyone seeking a unique senior living facility that makes you feel safe, happy and special

So thrilled that we found this wonderful community for Mom!! She moved in nearly a month ago and loves it! When we first toured the place, we felt like it would be the perfect place for Mom...and it IS! Everyone, both residents and staff, have been super friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful and well-maintained, and we really like that there are so many amenities/services/activities available (dining/food options, full kitchen plus washer & dryer in each spacious apartment, movie theatre, on-site home health, church services/bible studies, etc.) We are so excited that Mom has many new friends and feels very much a part of the Stone River "family!" Adele was our initial contact there and was instrumental in making the move/transition to Stone River very easy, and she is a vibrant presence there...always with a smile on her face! Dilia, Ramon, and Angela also have been fabulous and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Stone River Retirement Community!

This is a review for Stone River Retirement Community in Bradenton, FL. The apartments are thoughtfully designed. The residents are for the most part lovely people. Average age mid-late 80’s with a large group over 90. My aunt has lived here around two years. In that time, I have watched the quality of this community take a deep dive. It is neither resort nor luxury living in spite of the hefty fees. It makes me sad that my aunt’s final years are filled with apathy and neglect from the onsite & corporate managers. They are constantly understaffed and are not taking care of their employees. As a result, the attrition rate to crazy high. In the short time she has been here, there have been at least 4 or 5 chefs. There is a huge turnover for the rest of the kitchen staff too. There currently is no chef. The sous chef is ill equipped to do the job. No word when they are getting a qualified chef. The food is terrible. They run out of entrees and the residents have to wait for a substitution. They are also out of touch with the type of meals the residents want. They also make the residents wait on line for food service. It’s crazy to see the residents lined up with their canes & rollators. Not an acceptable way to treat old people. They have one kickass concierge who’s been with the place for a long time. I hope that they don’t drive her away. She gets pulled into helping with meals because of the short kitchen staff. They lost the best community salesperson. He was the heart of the place. They also lost a well-loved activities director. Her replacement is nice but unqualified for this position. Safety was a huge concern for my aunt who was told before she moved in that the front desk was manned 24/7. Most of the time that is not true. The residents were also told that there was going to be an improvement in the lack of outdoor seating. That has yet to happen. RLC Corporate needs to come here and fix this place. I wish I could take my aunt out of here but it would be too stressful for her to move again.

Current resident. Stone River is a good place to live. However, it is advertised and marketed as a "resort community." Quite frankly, it has turned into a nursing home. Many of the new residents they accept are unable to care for themselves. If you want to dodge scooters and wheelchairs, this is the place for you. They are everywhere and intrusive. Yet Stone River remains a viable community: residents get along well and there is a sense of belonging to a community. The lifestyle director is awesome and keeps residents busy. She also oversees a Friday evening Happy Hour with wine and beer and in which there is live entertainment, usually a singer or a pair of singers.

I have resided at Stone River for approximately one month. It is an excellent choice. Although wanting to delay the move, I remember my deceased parents saying "We didn't realize that we would get old so suddenly!" The relief from numerous responsibilities for the pool, the yard, the constant appointments for maintenance has been a blessing. The meals are excellent and varied. The highlight of Stone River are the residents and a wonderful staff. The varied activities and services make this a delightful place to reside.

My wife and I have lived here 16 months and Stone River has been perfect for us. The two most important things in independent living facilities are the management and the meals, and both have been excellent here. The physical plant and building design are commendable and have been well tested at over 20 RLC communities, all of which are free for the stay on a space available basis - we have visited two. Rentals beat ownership hands down at this stage of life, and Stone River is the best of a dozen or so rentals we have inspected in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.

My mother moved in about a month ago and we could not be happier! The on site managers Gary and Gina are wonderful. When my mother got ill a few weeks ago they were very caring and concerned and stayed with her until we got her to the urgent care. The food is really good. All the staff from servers to the housekeepers and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. The ladies at the reception desk were exceptional while we were moving in and continue to be customer service oriented. Highly recommend Stone River.
