I just love it here! My mother was one of the original residents to live at The Arbors. My brother and I loved it for her. However, when it came time, and I wanted to move, I visited another senior-living community. I couldn't believe how much money they wanted to just move in and then pay a lot for monthly rent. I told my brother, "Let's go to The Arbors." Fortunately, I was not disappointed! It was almost the same as when my Mother lived there... no huge down-payment! Now, I live in a great 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment that I like very much. I am so happy that I made the decision to make The Arbors my permanent home!

The Arbors, Port Warwick, is a fantastic community. And, I mean community. I moved my mother from the Bronx, NY, to be closer to our family for support. The staff are wonderful in remembering our names and always informing me when they don't see her, which shows concern for her well-being. The residents are all very friendly and exhibit happiness with the fellowship of other residents. The neighborhood square has frequent activities with cheerful people all about the community. The meals at the Arbors easily compare to those of fancy restaurants. The building inside and out are well maintained. The emotional challenge of where to relocate my dear Mom turned out to be a Herculean task. The reward is having her in a safe, caring, uplifting community close to family. I can't help but smile just walking in the building. My heart felt thanks to every single Arbors staff member. A job well done!

Elaine was patient, listened and the most gracious host. She shared ideas and options in a time where I was very emotional and uncertain. The Arbors is a wonderful place and the staff was so kind. I have toured many facilities and The Arbors was my favorite!

My grandma just moved into independent living here! She's 75! So far from what I've seen it's been real nice! She gets meals and house keeping included! Very spacious! Many people live in here! She's already made herself some new friends to go down to the dining area to eat and whatnots! I'm happy for her! They also just laid down new carpet in the hallways! Lobby ladies are nice! Has a theatre section with a huge TV and recliners! We had a thanksgiving dinner buffet for our family here too! Staff has been very nice and helpful when needed! This has been a good place in my opinion and my grandma is loving it so far

My husband Thomas and I have just moved his step-father, Jackie Cooper to The Arbors after losing his wife recently. He is flourishing and tells us how much he loves living there. He particularly enjoys the meals as chef Akira prepares a large variety of dishes. We have eaten with him several times and I agree with him, it is delicious.

My parents have been at The Arbors since October of last year. Elaine was exceptional at helping them find an apartment to suite their needs, as well as, making sure that everything they needed was prepared in advance before their arrival. All of the staff, including the property manger, Connie, and the support staff like Diane, Michelle, and Stephanie have went above and beyond to ensure that my parents questions (and mine) are answered and they are taken care of. Plus, the food is wonderful-a great daily selection of soups, sandwiches and special entrees. I love to eat there myself! 🙂 I am grateful for The Arbors and the care they give to their residents!!

What a warm, friendly place to live. Staff goes above and beyond over & over to insure every residence is happy & healthy. So great to have physical therapy on the premises. We walk over to Brickhouse Tavern for a tasty pizza & cold adult beverage. We just couldnt have made a better choice. Our meals are chief quality. We so enjoy walking around the square.

The staff at The Arbors is absolutely wonderful! My father has been there for several years and everyone is always willing to help no matter what he needs. The location is very convenient to shopping, groceries, gas and restaurants so my father doesnt have to drive far for basic necessities. I would highly recommend The Arbors and Elaine Pridgen who helped get my father settled.

This used to be THE place to live. Not any more. A, C units break and are not repaired for weeks, leaving senior citizens with heart palpitations and worse; there is no transportation on weekends (when did that happen?); and maids with no insurance break things and dont replace them. Maybe its under new management--I dont know what the excuse is--but the way its run is a huge disappointment. At least the outside of the building is still maintained.
