I love living at the Garden Plaza. I have developed so many new friendships. The staff is amazing. There are so many activities to do each day. I love that there are so many varieties of foods to choose from and it’s all delicious. There’s cleaning service and laundry service available. A pool, exercise room, and several game rooms.You can always be busy if you want to be or just relax in your apartment and watch tv or enjoy the beautiful courtyard, I’m so glad my husband and I chose to move here. We’re very happy with our apartment.

We moved here from another facility in Lilburn that many consider the best! After a few months here I can honestly say Garden Plaza is the place to be! As a retired Property Manager, I pay attention to everything. Though all is not perfect, perfection is certainly their goal. Every concern I've expressed has been addressed to my satisfaction or a reasonable explanation Provided! Things are done timely and always with a gracious attitude! I'm always proud to show off my new home to friends and family. It makes me feel good that staff is so friendly and even know my name!

I have family that has lived here for several years. I do occasional updates to this review since things sometimes change based on staff, etc. I also know how important it is for people to get an accurate picture on independent living places because they can be costly, and you want to know that what you're getting is worth it. It's hard to determine that based on one tour and a couple visits. Overall, this is a beautiful and nicely decorated place. They do a nice job maintaining it. Second, most of the staff is exceedingly friendly and LOVE the residents! Shout out to them and especially the front-desk peeps like Yovany and Eileen! Kudos to Alberto, the maintenance guy, and his staff. He is so kind to all the residents and is very knowledgeable and works very hard. Always has a smile on his face and willingness to maintain the place. My family says the food is okay. I agree with them. The newest activities director has cut back on the amount of activities in comparison to some prior activities directors, especially Bingo. Bingo is a big deal to many folks there. They used to have it three times a week. One of my family members just let me know they've not had it much at all in Dec. and throughout the first week of Jan. I understand it's the end of the Christmas/New Year season and perhaps that is a reason. Also, some residents have told me that they don't see the activities director's face much in comparison to prior activities directors, although I do know she has a coffee time, which is scheduled in Feb. There are other outside people that come in, such as a gentleman that does hair (salon), foot person (podiatrist? to trim nails), hearing aid guy (Tyler, who my mom absolutely loves), a once a month Bible study/health talk that a small group of ladies attend, and there are churches that come in - I believe each one comes in and does a service about once a month. They are better staffed with cleaning ladies in comparison to the past. Thank you for that! I believe they have one primary driver, who drives to some activities and drives residents to scheduled doctor visits. They've gone on some nice trips to restaurants, movies, etc. They had a patch a while ago when a vehicle or two were out for maintenance for some time, and they were having a hard time getting reliable drivers, but I believe that has now improved. As a last note - I believe you have to have reasonable expectations if you move a loved one into an independent living place. It's an upscale accommodation but for older folks who are often frail and/or medically compromised and the adjustment can be challenging for everyone. Overall, I think the people who run Garden Plaza know this and are doing their best to provide a supportive and positive atmosphere for the residents. But remember - if you move your loved in to Garden Place, come visit them often! No social contact from other residents or the staff is ever a viable substitute for the contact of a family member. It just isn't. Too many residents are lonely because their sons (or other family) only visit them once every couple of months, or less. Honor and take care of your parents and family!

Mom relocated from upstate New York. She had lived in an older small independent living building. The facility is clean,front desk helpful.My Mom is in her 90s and she is safe and comfortable. There are enough activities that she can pick and chose. Cleaning and laundry are reliable and friendly

Garden Plaza has become a great place with friendly faces for my dad to live. He has his independence, but plenty of help if needed. The meals are convenient and a great social time for everyone. The apartment is cleaned weekly, including sheets and towels. There are many different activities for all interests and transportation is available for doctors appointments or to go shopping. A blessing to have him in a great place close to me.

My husband and I love beautiful Garden Plaza. We have lived here almost 2 years, have made many new friends and have lots of fun. We enjoy the variety of activities and services offered for healthy living. We consider Garden Plaza an extension of our family. The staff is wonderful. They truly care about the residents, and go the extra mile. I especially love having three meals a day available that I don't have to cook.

My family was in need of One Level Living for my Mom after she had an incident. In March of 2023, our family life changed. We spent 2 months in hospital and rehabilitation care. It was decided that the best move for Mom as she started to recovery was a place where she would never be alone and did not have the daily challenge of stairs. This is when we met Ms. Lashea Carrillo. My Mom was so closed off and angry about the change that she was not receptive to her. But Lashea was so kind and professional when she spoke with my mom, that later on my mom wanted to meet with her again. Needless to say, Lashea was so kind, informative and respectful to my Mom that at that visit she had decided this is where she wanted to live. Thank you Lashea Carrillo for caring and informing my Mom. We move in June.

The venue hosted the Ms. Georgia Senior America pageant May 27, 2023 and it was so wonderful. Garden plaza is a gorgeous place, the staff was super helpful and so friendly. We were thrilled to be there for the 4th year. Everyone who attended said it was a beautiful place. John was incredible with the food as always !!!

Moved in October 31 & my experience has been good & except more good things to come The staff r great. Our dinning room, food & especially our food is great. Especially the dining room servers. Atler (goes to College during the week) works on the weekend is always ready to serve in anyway he can. So nice & perlite. A handsome young man who doesn't mind putting up w/complaining elderly people! WE LOVE HIM

Adler made our Christmas Eve luncheon so wonderful. He took such great care of us as we came to visit our parents for the holidays. We laughed, joked, and had such an awesome time with him. He’s a keeper!

Everyone has been doing a great job providing the total experience that five star assisted living community offers. My parents have moved in recently. Soon after, my father had some health issues and passed away. The staff at Garden Plaza couldn't have been more helpful and supportive during a challenging time for our family. For each need, they had answers. My mom has felt the warmth and support from each member of the staff as she adjusts to life without my father. We are very pleased to have her living at Garden Plaza!

The most outstanding quality of Garden Plaza is the warmth and caring attitude of everyone who works there. We could not find an employee who worked there less than six years from the concierge desk, to housekeeping, to the dining staff. This speaks volumes about the organization. My mom's lifestyle has greatly improved from living alone. She is busy, busy, busy, and happy, happy, happy. What is often described as a tumultuous time in the life of a family was an absolute joy for us.

I have friends living at Garden Plaza and visit them often. The facilities are beautiful, inside and out. We are always greeted warmly and shown every courtesy. The meals have been very good and plentiful, the many times I have shared a meal with the residents. A wonderful experience.
