I am sorry I have only given one star. There was a time that there would have been 5. I move in Lake Meadows on October 7, 2020. I moved into a 1 bedroom apartment. Apt 156 first floor. I loved it, I had lived in an independent senior living place for almost 20 years that I love but since I was older I thought an assisted living community might be tight fit for me. There were staffing problems at Lake Meadows but overall it was okay . Not many residents since it was just opening. my problem started when a slip out of my lift chair the last day of July 2022 caused a fall I was helped up by staff and was not in any pain but they suggested maybe I should get an x ray.I went to the hospital and next thing I knew they had given me a room ...still no pain . I was given the drug that causes skin problems called Steven Johnson Sydrome. This was at Community North Hospital. Within 6 days PT said I could not go back to my home and Lake Meadows said I could not return. Me the person who cleaned my own apartment because they had no one. Now because I was not signed a homene health agency for nursing and PT I am laying on sbed. Cannot get up and cannot walk. I think if I was able to go home to Lake Mesdows I would have a better quality of life

I come each month with a group from our church. We drop in on residents and visit. Everyone I see looks happy, tells me the food is good and they like it here. I'm not quite ready for assisted living, but I call myself a future resident. I am amazed by all the activities!

I have met many wonderful residents and staff here at Lake Meadows. My dog Levi and I love feeding the ducks and walking around the lake. Lake Meadows is truly a God Send for me. Outings and numerous activities are also a huge plus!! Always something to do to keep busy with fun projects.

Very crazy place to work!!! Not enough staff, have worked several times on night shift with myself and 1 other person. Unrealistic expectations from the current DON. Previous DON was wonderful, this one currently likes to play boss and hand off work to everyone else. They currently have 40 something active Covid cases, but not even testing staff!! Residents complain non-stop of how terrible the food is. For dinner on 9/13/23 they had a very thin slice of pizza and a tiny cup of cucumber and onions. What a joke!! Then nothing until breakfast. Get real!! The DON has been extremely rude to some of the residents. One resident that is the Pastor who lives there. There is so much that can be said, but not enough time or space!!

My son was a resident at this establishment and they treated him like he was the scum of the earth. The staff is very prejudice and they're not afraid to show it. This place is not for African Americans not even us educated ones and well off black people.
