As we searched for the right place for our mom, we visited several assisted living communities in the Warner Robins and Macon area. From the moment we walked into The Phoenix, we knew it was the right choice. When it came time for Mom to move in, they went above and beyond to make the transition smooth and even joyful for her, which meant so much to our family. I cannot say enough about how amazing The Phoenix at Lake Joy has been for our family. Everyone from the top down has been just so comforting, competent, and attentive to all of us involved not just our loved one entering the facility. I truly feel that they genuinely care about my loved one not just physically but also mentally, emotionally, and socially. They provide so many activities to keep her active with her mentally and physically. Everyone has been kind and considerate to her and to us her family. I have been kept well informed about everything and every step involved in this process from the very beginning. I have so appreciated the patience the staff has had with us all. They have made this experience much easier than I ever imagined. And oh my the facility is immaculate and gorgeous! It is like going into a resort! I cannot recommend this facility enough for families!

We moved mom into PLJ in November of last year. She fell in love with the staff, they became her second family along with her PT and OT. She made many friends and even won Ms. Congeniality in the PLJ Pageant. Mom passed away recently and as she was preparing for this final journey she was handled with love, gentleness and kindness from the staff. Thank you PLJ for making this very difficult time for our family easier.

I was looking for a place for my mom if she stayed in the are. We were given a tour by Michelle. The facilities are immaculate, and the staff we met were extremely friendly and genuine. The nurse, Andrea, met with my mom to evaluate the level of care she would require. Andrea was not only professional and knowledgeable, but she put my mom at ease very quickly with her kindness and caring personality. Michelle spent time with us explaining the routines, care and activities provided at the Phoenix. I left there with only positive thoughts and feelings about everything that I saw and heard. Unfortunately, my mom decided not to stay in this area, but I would 100% recommend anyone looking for a home for their loved ones or themselves to give serious consideration to The Phoenix.

When we began considering assisted living options for our mom who could no longer safely live on her own, we looked for several key characteristics including: 1) a clean, safe facility, 2) a caring staff, and 3) a leadership team that is engaged, transparent, and works to address issues quickly. We found all these things and more at Phoenix Lake Joy. The Phoenix Lake Joy facility is welcoming, clean, and spacious. There is a broad range of activities, and the residents have plenty of opportunities to socialize and stay active. The amazing caregivers go above and beyond. They are attentive to the physical needs of the residents and take time to build personal relationships with them. The leadership team and the front desk team are second to none. Moving a loved one to assisted living is a big change and there is an adjustment period. The leadership team (Michelle, Andrea, and Mignone) is working patiently with our family to help with the transition and address any issues. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will receive not just care, but genuine kindness and attention, I highly recommend Phoenix Lake Joy in Warner Robins, Ga.

The staff so far has been wonderful. They eased my mind as I was apprehensive about leaving my mom. They make you feel at ease and I feel such a relief that my mom is taken care of. They are respectful of what our needs are and soooooo helpful. They tell me I am no bother at all. I am very pleased with everything thus far. And most importantly is my mom likes it and seems very happy. The atmosphere is very bright and cheery.

I can’t begin to give a review fitting for the Phoenix on Lake Joy. My mother was here for just a short time, but the time she was here left an impact on our hearts. We moved our Mom to the Phoenix at Lake Joy about a year and half ago. This has absolutely been the best decision we could have made. The whole staff is great and take excellent care of her. Plenty of activities and the food is good. Our family is able to rest easy knowing Mom is well cared for.

On Tuesday, 16 July 2024, I had the opportunity to tour The Phoenix at Lake Joy, a premium assisted living facility in Warner Robins, GA. I may not need a facility like this for a few years (or longer, hopefully), but I wanted to see this particular facility because it was highly recommended by a close friend. I also wanted to ask a bunch of questions so that I would have some idea of what to expect if I suddenly needed to be put in the home. Michelle Sluka (The Phoenix’s Community Engagement Director) was my tour guide and patiently answered all of my questions. She spent over an hour with me touring the facility and answering a wide variety of questions from the number and type of meals served each day to the amenities included in the individual assisted living residences. I was shocked to see that a typical assisted living residence is larger (square feet) than my current residence (a 38-foot fifth wheel recreation vehicle). To say the least, I was impressed with The Phoenix at Lake Joy and its staff members. Thank you for the tour and the info!

Moved my mom into assisted living from a different senior facility in town where we had been disappointed in the quality of care. We’ve only had her there about a month. But so far, everyone has been extremely kind and helpful. They seem to genuinely care about the residents as people. An all-too-rare quality in senior care that I value highly.

My father-in-law is a new resident at The Phoenix at Lake Joy and it has been such a good experience for him and for our family. The staff made the transition an easier experience and worked with us in the time of COVID restrictions to ensure his safety as well as ours during the move in. Someone is always checking in on him throughout the day, asking if he needs anything, and spends time talking to him or inviting him to activities with others. It makes us happy to see photos posted on Facebook and him smiling in every one! We are so pleased and thankful for this facility and the management and supportive staff!

2020 has been a trying year for sure, but I would like to say for my family (and me personally) that Phoenix has done a great job managing its operations through the myriad of problems associated with care of our mother. I attribute this to your leadership and professionalism. Your staff has obviously been informed on the hazards of Covid and has bent over backwards to keep your facility safe for all. Your communications have been clear and timely. Fantastic management! Keeping guidelines during the holiday season must be difficult on your residents and their families for surebutwe know that our mother is in good hands...and that’s what we want for her. My mother was living with me after determining she did not need to be alone. We realized after two years she needed more care than I was able to provide while working. She first moved in to the assisted living side of The Phoenix at Lake Joy and seemed very happy. We transitioned her to memory care after 8 months. The staff at The Phoenix at Lake Joy could not have been more helpful and supportive during both of these moves. They communicate regularly through emails and texts. I am so thankful she has such great caregivers. I appreciate the effort they take to upload pictures to Facebook of the activities the residents do. I highly recommend this facility.

My wife and I recently relocated her 98 year old mother to the Phoenix Senior Living Facility. Mom was diagnosed with early stages of dementia and could no longer live alone. Our family made the decision to move her from her home state of Michigan to Georgia to be closer to family . Our first contact was via phone with Rina while we were still in Michigan. Rina immediately put us a ease and explained what the Phoenix had to offer our family and suggested assisted living. We initially thought she may need memory care but after talking with Rina we realized that making a move from Independent Sr Living center to a memory care unit would not meet Mom’s current needs. Rina explained in detail the care she would receive in assisted living vs memory care. We were impressed with the information she provided from our first phone conversation to move in day. Our family made the decision to make Georgia and the Phoenix her new home primarily because of Rina. Rina and the entire staff at the Phoenix have gone above and beyond our expectations to make Mom feel welcome as a new resident. We are also impressed with ED Director, Kerri Kitchens, and her team, who have equally exceeded our expectations. The team has been meticulously attentive and provided solutions to meet our every need. We would definitely recommend Phoenix Senior Living for your loved ones. We found out less than two weeks ago that my 98 year old nana was no longer going to be able to live alone due to early stages of dementia. She was living in Michigan at the time, and she needed to be closer to family. We immediately started looking for an assisted living and memory care home. The Phoenix had exactly what we were looking for. Rina has been by our side for this entire process and has made sure it could go as smoothly as possible. Without her, I don’t think this move would have been possible. They were ready to have her moved in within a week. They have welcomed her with open arms and treated her like family from the time we dropped her off. COVID makes times like this even harder, but the staff have updated me with calls and texts the entire day of move in. Rina is exceptional and I have been impressed with the other staff members I have met as well. I highly recommending the Phoenix for anyone looking for a retirement community for their loved ones.

She helped my husband and myself navigate our way through this very personal, complicated process of finding a place for my mother-in-law. Rina helped make this transition smooth, with her many years of experience, along with her honesty and genuine compassion! My husband and I feel confident that our mom is in a great place!!! Wonderful Facility. Building is very beautiful.. Staff really cares about the residents and you can feel it. They are always staying busy with lots of activities and events. My grandma absolutely loves it here and i love coming to visit. We toured every Assisted Living Facility in the area and fell in love with this one.. we made the right choice

Love the facility physically, it is very nice. Love the caregivers, they are very loving and treat our loved one like part of their extended family. Truly appreciate the Director and Office Manager and the staff. I have been concerned about the ratio of caregivers to residents in Memory Care locked down portion of facility, especially at nights and on weekends. However, I believe more caregivers have been recruited and there is no longer cause for concern.

I toured Lake Joy Assisted Living & Memory Care and it took my breath away! The staff's main purpose is assuring their residents are happy in their aesthetically beautiful center. It definitely gives you that resort feel! I spoke with one resident who moved from Albany, and he told me that this was the best senior care center that he has ever lived in and he brought four of his friends with him! He also said that he would never move because Lake Joy Assisted Living was the BEST. I asked to see the dinner that was being served that evening and was impressed with the delicious, healthy meal! It's apparent that the entire staff cares about the well being of their residents. It's nice to know that we have this outstanding facility in central Georgia!

This place is so amazing! Nice and friendly and caring staff. The owner are super amazing! I have a family member that is a resident there. Every time I go and visit. My aunt always telling me how great the staff and owners are to them. I truly recommend this caring, loving, and friendly environment.
