I come here as a third party service provider, the staff has been very helpful since the switch to Glenncrest with getting the residents ready for lab services. I see a lot more activities going on and more of the residents out and about.

I placed my mother at Sunrise the day after Mother's Day in 2025. It was an imposible decision to move her from her home. I searched for three years across four states. We decided on Sunrise in Atlanta and it has been an exceptional experience! She is on the fourth floor with full time dementia care staff. The staff I believe have been together for almost a decade. A testimony to their love of working at Sunrise in my opinion. Her room is tended to daily and any accidents are immediately addressed. I have never once visited and experienced an unpleasant odor. The staff is loving and skilled and constantly mingling with the clients. Other facilities often stockpile the clients in a hallway and simply leave them there. Sunrise offers daily activities, wonderful meal and snack service, exercise, day trips as well as bring in musicians and mini horses to engage the clients. They have a cat and dog that roam the floor which delights my mother to no end (-: Sunrise is a real home! A home where the staff are loving and attentive to the client and communicative to the family. We could not be happier! Upon checking my mother in, we were met with several department heads (med, PT, skilled nursing etc) to detail the care she would recieve. We discussed habits, likes, dislikes, food etc. I was so impressed and instead of leaving in tears I left with a huge smile on my face. A smile that I maintain to this day!

I rarely write reviews, and this might be the first one I’ve ever written”but I felt I had to because of one exceptional person: CJ. I quietly hid out at Sunrise for over a week, not really speaking to anyone, just observing”and I observed a lot wrong with the place. Overall, I’d rate Sunrise three out of five stars for overpromising and underdelivering. The staff often seem tired and overworked, and on days when CJ wasn’t there, no one came to check on my family member the entire day., nor did they speak. They just did what they had to do and fled. CJ, however, is an absolute gem. Every time she worked, my family member was showered, the room was clean, and she took the time to talk with them”actually having a full conversation instead of making them feel like an inmate in an expensive prison. She treats residents with genuine care and makes them feel seen and valued. CJ’s energy and compassion are unmatched. I saw her going floor to floor, joking with residents, asking them personal questions that showed she really knows them. She speaks excellent English and Arabic, which made connecting with her even easier. When I spoke with residents, everyone mentioned CJ as the one who truly cares. Although I did not meet her, there was also someone called Vernice who the residents said was very caring as well. But out of a staff of roughly thirty people, how is it that residents only talk about two people who genuinely care? As long as CJ is part of Sunrise, it has five-star potential. Without her, it’s a 3 out of 5 at best.

Walking in to the establishment felt like home. The residents were very nice and warming. I met Ms Moore and the Executive director and they both were so nice and inviting and made me feel very important. I enjoyed my visit there and cannot wait to return.

My loved one is very well taken care of at Sunrise at Buckhead and enjoys living there. Staff are attentive and responsive and the facility is very clean and well-maintained. It really does feel like home that my loved one looks forward coming home to.

Would like to also leave a "shout out" to Danielle. Always available to lend the extra hand (and does great decorating!). Appreciate her very very much! The staff is the secret sauce. Loving, caring individuals that speak to the residents by name, smile at everyone, and treat visitors very, very well. More than the physical accommodations it is the team of people that make Sunrise great!!!

I almost gave this community one star until I installed a camera in my mothers room and saw a caretaker gently feeding my mother- wiping her mouth when she drooled, holding her head up to give her something to drink, then coming back in her room to read to her. She held my moms hands and they were smiling with each other like old friends. She was the only cna to come into my moms room about four times a day and treat her like the angel she is, not just change her, empty the trash and leave. when she was sleeping - she fluffed my Moms pillow and shifted her body to a more comfortable position. If I didn’t see that with my own eyes I wouldn’t have thought there as a caring cna in the whole place. Her name is CJ and she is a blessing to my mom. The reading to my mom made me cry. I don’t know what she was reading but she sat there for a good bit reading to her and the smile on my moms face was priceless. If they hire more like her - this place will continue to receive five stars. Thank you CJ.

Excellent experience at Sunrise Buckhead. My loved one spent a month at Sunrise following a hospitalization. The program - Road to Home - really was amazing. The admission process with Heather Daniel and assessment team was excellent; nursing care, personal care, food service, activities - all great and helped her to get stronger and healthier to return home. Worse than one could ever imagine. The director and staff with few exceptions show no interest in providing services defined by care plan. While they are more than happy to increase their fees for services offered, they are unwilling to provide them--unwilling to staff sufficiently to deliver them. If you call them to account for failing to meet their agreements, they respond by creating farcical justifications for tossing the resident out of the facility--telling him (in this case my father) that that he, and his family are being disruptive, (when we pointed out staff was not responding to his emergency call button for half hour or more) which is a basis for ejection from the "community."

Our family rates Sunrise at Buck head Five Hundred Stars ! Facility is spotless and well designed for all types of health care needs. Best of all our the employees . God has assembled these his angels to do his work on earth . Naiara, Toni, Danielle , Stacey , Gloria , Linda, Tasha,Vivian and Damby all had a deep personal relationship with our mother. Words cannot do any justice to the level of loving top quality care they provided all the way to our mother last breath on Sunday at 3: 17 am . Our family experienced other facilities some much more expenses and level of care at Sunrise at Buckhead was a million times better ! Thank you so much to every employee at Sunrise of Buck Head you treated our family like family. We could never repay you for what you all have done ! Much love to all ! Obermeyer Family

The care and genuine concern for my mother from the staff at Sunrise of Buckhead was exceptional. During Covid they did everything they could possibly do to keep everyone safe and still deal with emotional needs. The staff cares about the resident's family and keeps the family informed. Gloria is just a wonderful woman with great compassion and care. Damby was exceptional, as well. I always felt that she listened to concerns and was there to help make everything the best it could possibly be for my mom. Danielle and her staff were also just wonderful. So caring, so very hardworking and compassionate ladies. Thank you all for such great care you took of our mother. We will miss you all very much.

Love Sunrise of Buckhead!! The facility itself is managed well, very clean and inviting, beautiful outside grounds, and always staffed appropriately. My mother moved in a few days before they went on lockdown due to the pandemic. They didn’t skip a beat. They were organized and followed all of the CDC guidelines which prevented them having an outbreak in their facility. They were super compassionate with the families given the circumstances and made accommodations for window visitation/outdoor visitation. The caregivers treated my mother like family with the utmost respect and dignity. They really were angels on earth caring for her each day which brought me peace of mind especially through the COVID restrictions. I highly recommend this place for your loved ones. They will be taken care of by the best!!
