My Mom has lived at Cojir Glenwood Place for 2 years. They take such good care of her. The staff are super nice to the residents and the family. There are SO many activities and fun things to do. It's like a cruise ship on land. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them for your loved ones!

The director reached out & her needs are going to be met. They truly do care about their residents. Nobody is perfect & I appreciate that they are making things right for my Mom. My Grandmother lived at Cogir of Glenwood Place and I was very impressed. The staff members were kind, helpful, and quick to respond to all of my grandmother's needs. My grandmother always commented on how excellent the food was, and I have to agree, having eaten there several times myself. There were always a variety of activities to keep grandma busy and a wonderful sense of community. Facilities were always kept clean and organized. I would highly recommend Cogir of Glenwood Place!

I worked in insurance for a couple years that dealt with retirement so I've seen many senior complexes and this one stands out. Everyone's laid-back, reasonable, and impressively patient from the care to the servers. And one thing that's incredibly hard to find... the food is actually good. Either they don't skimp or the chef is world class. My gramma's in there for a broken arm and she also praises the physical therapists and is fond of the residents. It was bought out somewhat recently so I don't know if these are new or old things, so just keep an eye on the reviews and ask the staff if they'd had to make any sacrifices in the name of cost. My mother-in-law was in assisted living at Cogir of Glenwood. I found the facility to be well staffed. The staff were very kind and caring to a fault. Everyone knew my mother-in-law's name and went above and beyond to meet her needs. Our loved one would tell us about the excellent meals she enjoyed. The staff at the gym worked with my mother-in-law to increase her strength and endurance. There are activities for almost any interest one would have. If you are looking for a well-managed and caring assisted living or independent living facility I would highly recommend you visit Cogir of Glenwood.

This is my mother's home for the past nine months. We have found the staff to be well trained and working with positive attitudes. She really enjoyed the Gym and nursing staff. Her hair and nails were regularly attended to keeping her happy and beautiful. Mom loved the Lasagna and chicken dinners. I liked the bacon cheeseburgers! Mom had the full meal deal with laundry, room service, regular showers and medical supervision for her medication. Other residents told me that the staff and accommodations are better than they used to be.

I have had the pleasure of spending time inside Glenwood Place. I’d book our HOA Annual meetings in their theater room. Yes they have their own theater…it’s right past the Salon. Yes they have a Salon…which is before the dining room with a buffet style dining area. Tables are set so nice and it always had a good whiff of them serving up yummy food. I’m not sure there are many places around here that could beat the beautiful Grand Entrance with the help desk on the left. I saw people sitting and reading. Walking and talking with friends. Since I live close by I also see residents walking their dogs or out on their own strolling down the sidewalk.

Glenwood place is very nice. My grandmother was there a couple years ago and i told some friends its a nice place and my grandmother had good care. Our friends are currently their and it sounds like the care has not been good. Im so disappointed and I WILL NOT ever suggest this place again. I do understand a lot of places are short staffed. Well the expense to be there deserves better care.

Friendly staff, but way understaffed to say the least. My mother is wheelchair bound and can't walk and has to wait 20 minutes to an hour to have someone show up to help her go to the bathroom, to get downstairs to eat, or help her out of bed and get her in the wheelchair. They estimated her "care package" to be about $875.00 a month by using other residents residing there that also can't walk, but her first bill was for $2,000. How can an estimate be off that much if they did actually compare her needs to other residents with the same needs? They also did not disclose that they had just been bought by another company when we were signing the papers. And the last topic you should be aware of is the food. The Bistro is good with sufficient portions and the food is hot. It has a limited menu and only about 5-6 tables, so you need to grab a table if you see one open. The dining room menu presents a lovely and creative description of chef prepared food, but it is far from it. The food either arrives lukewarm or cold. The menu states soup with your meal but you have to ask for it, (they don't ask you if you'd like to have it) along with salad dressing if you are having a salad, salt and pepper, sugar, dessert, etc. It appears that they too, are short staffed. If things with the new company that bought Glenwood improve significantly, I will change my posting. Ask a lot of questions, order from the menu, (if need be, so that you can see firsthand), and when it comes to the "care package" add double that amount! So far, it's been a huge disappointment, but I do realize that they are in a transition phase.

I have been a resident here almost 5 years. Most of my ideas about the place are good, but as to the food, only that at breakfast or in the bistro are any good. It is boring and the only activity i enjoy is to play cards. Since COVID we have not been able to play much until this last week even though no residents have had the virus.

Its too easy for just anyone to walk in and go to the elevators or elsewhere. I went in, walked to elevators and went to the third floor and to a party. I think there should be more security. A lot of the residents are barely mobile and need protection. I havent seen the whole facility, it is quite large. The little Ive seen seems clean, well cared for as do the residents. The bistro was being full.

As we approach five and a half years at Glenwood Place, I would like to say that moving here was the best decision we could have made. As we felt our health beginning to feel like its time , we checked around and chose Glenwood Place. We have loved every minute of our new enriched life!! We have enjoyed a wonderful variety of activities, delicious food choices and many new friends. Our biggest blessing has been our State of the Art gym. It is there that we keep strong and healthy under the guidelines of wonderful trainers. We work, play and socialize. What a wonderful package!!. Thank you Glenwood for all the love and care you have given us the past five years. We feel So-so-so blessed.

I have worked there for about 2 months as a caregiver for an outside company. I spend a lot of time there and am confident to say, it is an amazing place to be. They do the best they can for their residents to assure they are comfortable and happy. They have so many activities for seniors to thrive and enjoy time spent socializing with others. My husband and I lived at Glenwood Place in assisted living for two years. We only moved to live with family. The entire staff presents the attitude We are here to help you. The facility is very attractive, comfortable and well maintained. There is capable management from the top down. However, most of my contact was with the aides who helped us, including those who cheerfully delivered my heavy packages! The med aides who checked our vitals always had a smile and a few minutes to talk. The thing I want to recognize the most is how hard the staff worked to keep us safe and well from the coronavirus pandemic. We were delivered three nourishing meals every day. Our temperatures were checked daily. Largely due to Glenwoods quick reaction, we had no cases of coronavirus. Anyone looking for retirement living options in Vancouver should definitely take a look at Glenwood Place.

The residents and facility is absolutely beautiful and very clean, being a employee here is however not the best. Orientation it is seemed to be the best place you could ever work at, layout out is beautiful and Sue is absolutely the sweetest. The housekeeper director is overall a good person and very flexible but very unprofessional when it comes to her employees, especially when it comes to confidentially and gossiping. Housekeeping seems not to be so much of a team with death glares and drama. Maintenance is extremely helpful and very friendly as the caregivers are as well. People are constantly hired on and in and out. They definitely need to fix their staff to be long term.

we are responsible for taking care of our residents 24, 7. If weather is bad like snow, ice, we cant make it home, they set us up in an empty room on cots. Or if we are home and need to get to work Management will come and get you. That is how wonderful they are. Also, the food is great...
